There are almost no perfumes that have the richness of YD . This one still smells like the
REAL old Opium .
If you put a few drops in neutrogena bath oil, you will smell like Opium for many hours . I mixed the YD oil with neutrogena bath oil and keep it by my tub , and slither it on my whole body as a moisturizer . I can smell wafts of it for many hours – rich , spicy and sexy . It literally scents my whole bathroom softly and I smell traces of it the next day . I hope this one never gets watered down or infused with marmalade.
I also mix a few drops with other scents to create my own scent . It adds a rich depth that lasts .

Here is a question for all of you perfumistas, who know a lot more than I do. Friends would consider that I have a lot of knowledge … but I am kind of hit or miss. I wear what I love, and I love a lot of different scents.
For years I have struggled to love Youth Dew. It turned sharply colder in Boston these last few days, and I pulled it out of my cabinet. This morning I sprayed one spritz on the back of my neck. That’s it, just the one on the back of my neck. I finally get what all the hype is about! Always before this Youth Dew would go too … something, dry, dusty, rustly, on me. Even though I have always worn only one spritz. But I usually put that one spritz on the front of me, right under the breastbone.
Here is a question. Youth Dew smells FANTASTIC on me on the back of my neck. She has now become the signature fall and winter scent I always knew she could be. I have only ever owned this one bottle, purchased circa 2005. Since buying this bottle, I have gone through menopause, but I don’t think that’s it. I tried this last winter and I still could not abide it. Is it possible that the diffusion of the scent … has something to do with where the blood is pumping? Not towards the heart, but away from it in the direction of the energy greedy brain? One spritz on the back of the neck and I am in love. I can’t think of any other explanation. Those of you who know Youth Dew, will understand that anything I put in my hair would have been steamrolled by this powerhouse. Nothing blends with Youth Dew. She is a jealous mistress. Could it have something to do with the pulse points and what’s going on there? I would love to hear your opinions.
Happy Halloween to all.
Hitsgrils – :
I vividly remember my mother having a bottle of the bath oil version of Youth Dew in our bathroom that she would on rare occasions dab behind her ears but wasn’t in love with- as an 8 year old who fancied herself incredibly sophisticated I would sometimes dab this behind my ears as well and walk around the house pretending I was grown.
There was just something about the spicy, salty patchouli vibe that I loved even back then.
Recently a department store here in Iowa closed down and they were steeply discounting beauty products so during the fiery midst of July I bought a bottle of the oil and was so excited to dab it on- and immediately understood why my Mom reached for it so rarely back then.
I grew up in South Texas where it is always hot and on me the heat made this powdery and sweet which would be fine if I were expecting it but I wasn’t and that disappointed me greatly.
I put it in my closet and didn’t touch it again until the first chilly day in the last few weeks and when I did there it was- the spicy deliciousness I remember from the days when I was luxuriating in the ac of our house and didn’t know how wrong this could go on me in the wrong season.
This will be my winter go to scent to dab on and feel cozy.
Edit; I wore this out to dinner the other night and my husband kept remarking on how I smelled like nothing but baby powder and the old Marshall Field’s store in Chicago. Hm. This might get used for bath oil and nothing else going forward, which is unfortunate.
Tatsy69474 – :
I had the bath oil in this and while I liked it, didn’t realise people could still smell it on me when I went into work and asked me what I’m wearing, as they said I smell really nice. Not sure I can describe it, as it’s strong oriental and sexy but also powdery and fresh.
I shyly said Youth Dew, and said that I wasn’t sure if others would like it as some see it as old fashioned, but they said there are lots of old classic fragrances people still wear and are popular
Mezbu708elipseskism – :
It’s a work of art in its own way, but not for me. On the right skin it’s very sexual and seductive I think but I can’t pull it off. It’s not yucky as some reviews say, I actually enjoy the different notes, but it’s something I prefer on other women, it doesn’t smell the same on my skin.
gqj609Diobtetty – :
My review is for the old school heavy, heavy oriental. The reformulated one in the plastic blue coat is a little ethereal. My dense-dark syrup, (glass bottle) is a grown mature woman, it’s a beast, bombastic and loud. It almost makes you snarl at it. At one spray, as time moves on, she starts to mellows and never really goes away!
To young ladies who consider this as old-lady, old fashion. Please re-think about this! Have you ever thought of layering a light floral or etheral fragrance with a drop of this perfume. Use your imagination to create!
Fragrances like this are becoming rare. Reformulations, allergies and regulation are changing a lot of perfumes to synthetics. And you wonder why your fragrance is gone in a short period of time! At times it takes creativity. Buy as many old fragrance as you can!!
eae908intitytek – :
A grand dame of the spicy Oriental genre, Youth-Dew will always have a place in my heart and my fragrance wardrobe. It’s old skool but relevant— and it smells fantastic if used with a very light hand. I grew up in the ‘70s and ‘80s smelling this on my bohemian art-teacher mom and on her mom— a tiny but vivacious lady who continued to wear clingy angora sweaters, leather pants, and stiletto heels into her golden years. It suited them both.
As a teen, I found YD ancient and funky, but intriguing. I bathed with the scented soap, and that alone was enough YD for me. As I grew into adulthood, I always had a bottle of the bath oil or a bar of the soap in my possession, for those times I craved YD’s clean but smoldering spices. Gradually I began to use the EDP spray & the body cream as well.
YD shares a lot of bone structure with Opium, Cinnabar, Tabu and other heavy-lidded Orientals, but I like it much better than any of those. This is one fragrance that, for me, is better in the current version than in vintage. There is a filthy, fecal/urine-like animalic note in the vintage that I’ve always had to fight past, and that has been edited out over time. I love and wear the modern bath oil, EDP, and body cream (separately, not together!) and I find each to be an equally enjoyable variation on YD. The bath oil amps up the spices (and allows for controlled spillage on skin as well as lovely hot baths!). The EDP is a bit brighter and fresher. And the cream is patchouli heaven.
tequiLa – :
I’ve already left one review of YD, but after receiving a small bottle of the pure perfume I feel the need to post more about this gorgeous scent.
The edt of Youth Dew is lovely and strong, but the pure perfume is 100 times more intense. I love the resinous, balsamic and spicy notes of YD. In the higher concentration the liquid is almost sticky and reminds me of the bath oil. I applied a few drops of the precious dark liquid on my hand, where earlier I’d put some Gucci Envy me and Moods by Krizia. Neither stood up to the sheer power of Youth Dew! Move over, sweet fruits, YD pulls no punches.
There’s a note of coca cola, but it doesn’t last long.
Many people think this fragrance is old fashioned, the epitome of old lady scent. Nonsense. YD is almost unisex and almost ageless. It is the epitome of rich spices, rare balsams and tinctures from exotic places. It’s a classic and I love to wear it, but I wear it sparingly. YD is a scent to keep close, not one to waste on the air around.

When reformulations, new markets, new generations are the rules and the goals…
When most of the classics are ruined like ageing actresses after too much plastic surgery…
When I want to feel good, confident, I am so glad to find that beauty in a bottle.
This is the Evil Queen in an ambery liquid, still recognizable and perfectly wearable.
Not an apple juice, not for the Snow Whites.
It also shows that a good perfume can be affordable and not only a marketing affair for €/$ 200 and more… This should inspire more brands, mainly those who ruin their legacies…
dpopenko – :
I was working retail and noticed the scent of this and was so intrigued – kind of like a sexy coke. I remembered my mom telling me as a child that it was an old lady perfume. I’ve always been drawn to its spicy complexity. I think it has extreme sex appeal and the most unique animalic magnetism. I read the story which is even more spectacular – so back in the 40s perfume was for whores, and maybe your husband bought you a bottle, but no one had a wardrobe of fragrances. So Estee went to a perfumer and said create me a bath oil that is so strong a drop of it fills the bathroom. She got a young female nose who had access to lots of innovative new aldehydes, and she created this unique dark brown elixir. Then there’s the story of how some big luxury department store turned Estee down, and she dropped a bottle of it in the store, but customers demanded they sell it!
Exilaaninty – :
This was the fragrance that most women around around me would wear for special occasions when I was growing up in the sixties . It is probably considered a grandma fragrance by young omen these days. In my opinion , it still smells authentic ( not synthetic ) and chic .
I was raised in the sixties in Texas by my sweet and uneducated grandma who took me in though she rode the bus to her warehouse job in downtown Dallas ( wearing stockings and a girdle and dress with NO AIR CONDITIONING ) . I was fortunate not to realize that we were rather poor compared to many of my peers. Though my grandma rode the bus , she knew how to gussy herself up for an event . Before she put on her corset ( yes a real pink custom made corset ) she bathed and put on Cashmere Bouquet talc under her corset . After she got her body into the corset and dress, she got out her bottle of Youth Dew bath oil . She would put about four drops in the palm of her hand and then sprinkle a few drops of water with it and rub it on her neck and wrists .
The fragrance would last well all day , even during a scorching summer. My grandmother used the bath oil, which was affordable for her , to make a perfume . This allowed her to smell classy even on a shoestring budget .
Guess what ! I am now her age and still wear it sometimes and I mix a few drops of YD with a few drops of Tojours Moi , and it gets many compliments .
I will never be without a bottle of the oil and the spray . If you want a luxurious bath, put a few drops in your tub. The fragrance will literally linger a couple of days . Even better, get a bottle of neutrogena body oil and add some YD bath oil drops to it . Then every day after your bath you will smell like incense and rich spices ( like the old version of YSL Opium that would last ) all day . That is my favorite way to use the super rich body oil .
I hope there will be other women who give this beauty a chance because it has the smell of incense , which is rich and head turning .

This smells amazing in the bath oil, either a few drops applied all over your wet body or in little dabs at pulse points. It’s spicy, but jasmine-y, with a prominent ylang ylang. It’s also somehow still very clean despite the spice. I’ve always loved it in a hot bath in the winter, but I think it smells just as amazing in hot weather. Maybe the humid heat mimics the bath? Let’s hope they keep this one intact.
Also, Schatze Page would TOTALLY wear this. Good call.
wwwerttt – :
Do you ever try a perfume and it immediately reminds you of a character from a movie or TV show or book?
I recently watched How To Marry A Millionaire (1953) starring Marilyn Monroe, Betty Grable and Lauren Bacall. Well the character Schatze Page played by Lauren Bacall gave me the impression that she would be the type of woman that would be a fan of Youth Dew. I didn’t even know this perfume was released in the same year as the movie when I got this thought. Youth Dew smells dated…yes but not in a particularly bad way. I smell a lot of incense and powder…must be me detecting aldehydes and cinnamon.
I imagine the woman wearing this to be of a mature age, collects antiques, loves fur and is very wise. She’s smart, witty and has a very refined taste in fashion.
Mexhe210Bessinepome – :
This is what I wear in the winter. It seems a bit too strong with my body heat in warmer weather. It’s warm and spicy but very (almost too) sweet. I agree with others that if you apply too much it can be overwhelming. The ylang ylang really stands out in this one for me, smells like incense but not smoky. The lotion is wonderful and layers well with the fragrance and will last all day and night.
amper12v – :
Beautiful on others. On me, she’s a strange creature.. I completely understand how polarising she is – and she is on me as well. I’ve tried a number of ways to wear her. The edp spritzed in the air and walked through smells just like Aramis Aramis and doesn’t change. Same with one spritz on my skin (various testing spots). It becomes oppressively dry yet musty and just doesn’t smell how at all how I know she can smell.
I’ve also got a few vials of the vintage bath oil, which while being in the same style bottle smell slightly different – one is more rosy, the other heavier with narcissus. I love both. Yet, when worn in winter or cool weather all I get is clouds of baby powder. The alchemy for me and YD bath oil is heat. The magic happens in summer, and early autumn especially late afternoon or evening. A drop or two of the oil on my bellybutton, the rest at the nape of my neck, then she is just glorious, spicy, opulent and so soothing..

This is a preview, not a review. I don’t have this fragrance yet, but a vintage bottle is on the way and I’m exited!!
The reviews on this site convinced me to give YD a try. I love Cinnabar which is supposed to resemble YD.
Recently I’ve fallen for dark spicy scents, resinous and thick are fine, too.
Once the perfume arrives I will update – wish me luck!!
So today the much anticipated bottle arrived – the light blue ceramic one. TBH, after reading how many people hated this fragrance I was a bit worried about this blind buy.
Two sprays later I was dumb founded. THIS is what so many hate? This sophisticated, spicy, aromatic elixir? OK, so beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but this isn’t at all old lady or overpowering. Granted, the stuff is intense, I wouldn’t douse myself in it, but the scent is wonderful. This is the fairy godmother that gave a few precious gifts to Cinnabar, but she didn’t give up all her goodies.
I love the balsamic notes and the elegance of it. YD, you are so much better than your reputation! The pure perfume, which I was lucky to buy recently, is even better. It does have a short lived note of coco cola popsicles, but I like that. The pure perfume is rich and intense, as one would expect. I love it!
One day later I still like it. The scent stayed soft and aromatic, nothing strange developed. This perfume is nothing like I expected, it is so much better. Maybe the bottle I purchased is a bit off, but I didn’t get much sillage. Instead two sprays at the base of my neck stayed with me all day, discreetly scenting my t-shirt. YD is lovely, I can’t say it enough!

Why does this perfume get so much hate?? It’s such a gorgeous scent, incredibly beautiful. I was not around during its peak in the perfume world but whoa…what a masterpiece
kaz90 – :
An eye-watering, gasp-inducing, heavier-than-lead fragrance. A powerful varnishy scent, aggressive, not pretty. I like mandilet’s statement: “Like Marmite I reckon you either love it or hate it, there’s no ‘sitting on the fence’ with this one.” Ha! Marmite! That’s good.
If you have an elbows out, take-no-prisoners attitude, maybe this is for you. If you move through life more gently…with some empathy for the people around you, it might be a pass.

I looovee it! Sometimes just crave it and have to have it. Then I spray one or two times on the same spot, put my nose on it and…roll and roll my eyes in the ecstasy. When that special feeling passes, I try to straighten myself up and go on with my life,.. huh
I read some people here would like it to be lighter, oh please no, I want it even stronger:]
troy13 – :
In the above list of “this perfume reminds me of” this is the original and the best ..others are “wanna be” compared to it..they lack balance either too spicy or too woodsy not perfectly balanced although they might share same ingredients.
This one is either love or hate .. To love it you have to understand it and should have a connection with it .. Like memories ..or understanding the smell of the ingredients.. Because if you don’t then you will think of it as a strong awful headache perfume .. Put if you have the nose for it ..then you would think sandalwood, sexy, talcum powder, clean, glamorous and mystery class .. This perfume I feel like I’m a Cleopatra Liz Taylor , an incient queen or a classic beauty icon when I wear it ..so retro Hollywood glam unique .. Every time I buy it its 2 bottles at a time afraid it gets discontinued God forbids

I inherited a bottle from my mother, who wore this often. It nearly suffocates me, always has. I won’t wear it…
But, I LOVE the dusting powder.
tpu453bedyWelty – :
I acquired this piece of living history which comes in a fabulous retro modernist bottle and box last week. A relic of the Cold War from 1953 it goes off like an atom bomb and has the half life of uranium. The top notes have a fabulous woody sparkle in the air but something not quite nice like a cleaning agent lurks around underneath due to the massive balsam and this shows itself (at least on me) more and more as it dies down. It sort of sticks in the nose even when you think it’s gone. The Estée Lauder rep in the department store told me that Estée Lauder deliberately dropped a bottle in Sears and when the women in the store wanted to know what it was she sealed her deal to supply it as bath oil (also astonishingly still on sale after 65 years). Something that women could buy for themselves without breaking the social norm where women only received perfume as gifts from their husbands. I learned it is still to this day the 18th most popular perfume in the World. Presumably every retired woman in America must have some. If you want to study your perfume history get some of this and give it a try as it’s cheap too. I think I’ll stick to smelling it on a tissue though..

Youth-Dew is STRONG. Dated, spicy-sweet, heavy.. I LOVE it. This is the perfume to wear if you want a blast from the past. I’m 31 and don’t mind smelling like someone’s grandma–the perfumes from bygone eras are true works of art. Every whiff is of something different. I’m wearing the bath oil version and it is so syrupy sweet and dense, like dark buckwheat honey…with a hot spiciness that blooms in the heat and turns this elixir into pure magic. Other times I get smoky incense, particularly in the beginning, before it develops into Coca Cola effervescence and then the velvety oriental base. Lots of patchouli, it grounds this scent and adds even more of a richness.
The EDP reminds me more of a church incense scent for far longer than the bath oil.. it’s a bit more bitter and rough-edged, rather like a heavier Opium or a smokier Tabu. It takes longer to develop but also projects far more mightily so take caution when you spray. The bath oil sits close to the skin and is good if you aren’t wanting to make quite as much of a statement.
I just adore these old school heavy orientals, Youth Dew is right up my alley and will be a forever favorite of mine.
asdinbev – :
Youth Dew is my favorite Lauder fragrance. It is rich, complex, and beautiful. As I wear Youth Dew, the scent constantly evolves. Every time I take a nosedive into this scent, I get something different. Sometimes it is spicy, sometimes it is a strong floral, other times I cannot detect specific notes.
This scent is always thought of as an ‘old lady perfume’ and I get why people think that. Because of the ‘old lady’ association, sometimes this smells super feminine to me, but other times, I find it really unisex because it is in no way similar to La Vie Est Belle or other popular women’s fragrance right now.
Either way, I love this stuff. It lasts forever and when I wear it, I love smelling myself.
taho – :
Pros: It lasts forever and a day.
It’s strong as hell.
It’s certainly not boring.
It’s incredibly cheap.
Man, I wanted to like this so bad. Spicy, balsamic, with floral, cinnamon, and vanilla notes? For thirty freakin’ dollars? Sign me the hell up. I mean, let’s go.
And really, I’ve got to give it credit. It’s awesome for what it is, and for those who love this sort of scent, I think it’s among the best available. I didn’t think it was possible to get this kind of quality for this kind of price.
But oh, it’s just not for me at all. Others have said dated, mature, for an older generation, and I can get that, but you also have classics like Obsession and Shalimar and Chanel No. 5 that are just as big and heavy, and popular-ish with my generation (Millennials).
It’s not “old” for me, so much as it just smells a bit like wood polish or varnish. I have a decent-sized sample, so I want to try this a couple more times, and hope that my opinions will change.
But as it is right now, I just can’t.
I still do recommend it, though, for the people who like spicy orientals. I mean, again, this kind of strength, longevity, and projection for 30 dollars? I’m amazed by that.
This can easily compete with my cherished $105 Alien. It’s not for everyone, but if you like a lot of spicy oriental perfumes, this one is definitely worth a shot.
frunto – :
My mom was gifted this perfume and asked me if I wanted to try it on so I did. I have never scrubbed a perfume off of myself before but had to with this one. It’s very strong, definitely smells “old/mature” and just ugh NO. For me it’s a Youth Don’t. Not my thing… I will say if you do like it, it seems to have good sillage and lasting power. I literally scrubbed the spot I sprayed it on my arm for like 5 minutes multiple times and can STILL smell it.

The perfumist of Youth Dew – Josephine Catapano – one of the pioneer women perfumers working within the large scale top designer fragrance industry – passed away on May 14, 2012 aged 93. She has been the author of Norell (by Norell), Cinnabar, Youth-Dew, and JHL (by Estée Lauder), Fidji (by Guy Laroche) and Zen (by Shiseido), among others. She is also believed to have made contributions to other major fragrances as her accolades include her 1980 Cosmetic Career Women’s Award as well as her 1993 Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Society of Perfumers.
That is the creative aura behind this Dew for both youthful and mature ladies.
A perfume that was launched in 1953 could hardly be more actual than Youth Dew.
Aldehydes and spices provide a grand opening. The spices note endures through the heart notes and a strong presence of cinnamon and cloves is also detectable. The bottom notes reveal strong balsamic notes together with incense and the unavoidables vetiver, moss, patchouli and musk. The subsequent long dry down is overly pleasant.
In sumary the global impression you get from this fragrance is of a complex blending, quite spicy and balsamic with a very long, pleasant earthy and woody drydown. The performance is quite high.
My rates for Youth Dew:
Scent Opening: 8.0 (my judgement)
Scent Dry Down: 9.0 (my judgement – quite unisex during the drydown)
Longevity: 9.0 (well above average and close to beasty)
Sillage: 8.5 (6~8 feet at its peak with just 2 good sprays)
Uniqueness: 9.0 (quite unique, considering the existing feminine fragrances that I am aware of; Nobody was able – or care to – to copy it in the past 65 years; Nevertheless I do note a certain similarity with Cinnabar (contemporary) and Agent Provocateur (a lot younger fragrance))
Wearability: 7.0 (cold weather, mainly at night)
Versatility: 9.0 (yes to clubbing, socializing, events, restaurants… and yes to dates, romancing, sex, office, picnics, weaddings, movies, birthday gift to your mother in law… no good to work out, places where you may sweat and beach!)
Quality: 9.0 (my judgement)
Presentation: 7.5 (simple but effective; very good sprayer)
Price: 9.0 (67 ml non tester for 22 Euros + shipping)
Overall rating: 8.50/10.00
I do recommend this fragrance; it’s a mature old school fragrance, balsamic and almost animalic, that may please many women and men particulary in the over pleasant drydown.

It seems to me that the color of this perfume completely corresponds to its character and age, it is similar to vintage. Most old perfumes look exactly like that. I really like to spray it with a cloud, so beautiful, I like it very much.

I absolutely love this perfume. However, I’ve only tried it on in a store. I cannot bring myself to buy it because of the colour of the liquid. It is like spraying liquid poop on myself. If colourants have been added to this perfume, Estee Lauder should consider making it a lot lighter. I do not understand why a company would make something which is supposed to smell beautiful look like a substance which smells disgusting. Change the colour, and they are on to something special!

My current 2018 Youth Dew in the vintage 1953 blue bottle (Thank you Nordstrom for carrying this) is actually the BEST smelling Youth Dew I have ever had or smelled. In the past, Youth Dew literally gagged me and I used to say it is the scent of a decaying old woman :-O
Current Youth Dew smells very, very similar to past versions, but somehow Estee Lauder has “softened” or mellowed the fragrance. It is still a major powerhouse, but it blends into the skin better instead of sitting on top and screaming at everyone! ONE spray on the wrists and then touch the inner folds of the arm, and the scent is amazing. This is actually VERY unisex. It is warm and spicy!
smirnoff-artem – :
I absolutely adore Youth Dew.
Opens with intensely aromatic and bright herbal citrus aldehydes before enveloping the wearer in its brazen, smouldering balsam-infused spices that possess a notable Coca-Cola accord supported by rich, earthy patchouli and incense. The woman who wears Youth Dew is assertive, self-assured and incredibly alluring. Incredible… absolutely incredible!

I bought the bath oil bottle when it was on sale half price on Estee Lauder website last year. The scent is super strong, I can’t imagine how strong it is if I bought the spray bottle. It’s a warm scent, sometimes will give a little of sharp heat too. The silage is enormous, and longevity is off the chart. The scent is similar to the ointment that my great-grandmother used to apply on us when my sisters and I were sick, it gave us comfort and sleep better. Now, it still gives me the same feeling, and becomes one of the very few scents that I can use when I get a cold or flu. Also, whenever I feel cold from inside the stomach, I apply a little dab of the oil around my belly button, then the heat from the oil will ease the stomach. I love it, and always have it in my bag.

***Second Review***
Ahhhh…Youth Dew, we meet again. Thirty odd years later. It’s strange how smells good or bad, have the power to evoke and conjure memories of long ago. This perfume takes me back to the mid 80s as a twelve year old. Youth Dew really made an impression on me, so much that I never forgot it. To me at that age, my untrained nose recoiled in horror and disgust. YD even made me physically sick. , I’m happy to say I own a bottle of this beautiful, timeless fragrance. I would say that this deserves a place beside other famous perfumes, like Shalimar and Chanel no.5
Now that I’m old enough to appreciate it, I smell a warm, spicy, vintage oriental perfume. I love the cinnamon, cloves, rose and patchouli. YD is the scent of a by-gone era, when a perfume was meant to be a perfume, not a sugary water with some fruit thrown in. A lot of people associate YD with grandmother’s and aunts. I can understand that. I guess it’s just a matter of perception.lol when I smell this perfume I see Mrs “bedroom” eyes Bette Davis , feisty Joan Crawford smoking a cigarette or beautiful Etta James cooing “At ….Last my looooove …, Their smoldering beauty and sex appeal oozing from every pore.
The woman that wears YD nowadays is opinionated and original. She doesn’t care what others think of her vintage perfume. She’s proud to be different 🙂 Youth Dew is iconic and beautiful. “It’s nice to (once again) make your acquaintance”♡♡♡

Dear Reader’s,
This perfume Youth-Dew by Estée Lauder is sublime♥♥ .
I was given this classic perfume as a birthday present some yrs back. I loved the design of the gift box and it was also a set, it had the parfum and a big heavy white body lotion .
I was delighted to see how the bottled was shaped with the golden bow-tie on its waist resembling a ladies waist, I found that detail very charming. Now the enchantment came right after admiring the color of the perfume being such a beautiful brown. I decided to spray the air and once it was airborne and inhaling the brune perfume , it had me in its intensely fragrant love spell. This perfume with my chemistry brought out more balsamic sweet patchouli ,creating a hot shaman scent out of me, so i loved it. My mom took a try on this perfume and on her she smelled like the perfume that incarnated into a woman, it was beautiful and people took noticed in public outings, she attracted all kinds of compliments and men being cooing gentlemen’s to her .♥
And during another time at a department store, I was looking into items in a store and then my roman nose captured a heavy and rich scent that made my heart skip a beat, and like a blood hound i went to follow it and it was a lady close by and I had to ask if she was wearing a perfume, and she said yes and I had to compliment her and asked what was it, and she told me it was Youth Dew, and I had to compliment her again that the perfume on her smelled intoxicating and beautiful and thanks for the experience for her fine taste. ♥
Youth dew, is definitely a sweet and spice combined and learning here it has balsam, it makes it a majestic earthly fragrance for those who love exotic bold and beautiful perfumes. Personally, being an androgynous natured person myself, I dont find this perfume to be either “masculine ” or “androgynous”, I dont detect alot yang energy in this majestic earth diva fragrance.
I dont recommend this perfume for women who still consider themselves “girls” that like trendy citrus ,bubble gum and cookies types or snow flakes that dissolve when the going gets tough, nor females who like the “came out of shower” casual floral types.
This perfume of youth dew, belongs to a regal female who is proud being an adult woman, who is queen of her own world , classic and beautiful in personality and style thats stands out from the rest of stock of “basic women”.
