Dead ringer for Cuiron in the first 10 minutes. The deeper drydown is not as smoky- a bit fresher. The opening is a bit more harsh and alcoholic. However, given the going rate for a bottle of Cuiron, this is a great variation on the theme. Wish it didn’t have the slightly grating/mall-fragrance accord- but I guess that is why Helmut Lang is out of business and Yohji just keeps going. Similar ideas, just not the same uncompromising execution. Worth trying!
