I met the fragrances of this House when I created a partnership through my Brazilian website of perfume reviews. And it was a real adventure unravel all of them, without having access to the official notes, even having direct contact with the owner of the company. And the result was wonderful because he loved reading my reviews and complimented me on most of them. Known as the “flower of flowers”, the ylang-ylang has several qualities such as euphoric, sedative, antiseptic, etc. For me, the most interesting, and I think the most used in terms of perfumery is the aphrodisiac. Typically, perfumes that lead this note, transmit this feature.
In this fragrance, the aroma is strong and tends more to the feminine side during its initial 15 minutes. During this stage, I thought: “I smell like an old aunt”, with that dated and strong floral scent. It bothered me a lot and I can not omit it!
You can’t do reviews just full of praise, is it not truth? However, with the passage of time, the aroma calmed down and proved to be creamier, more balanced and unisex, with something I referred to benzoin or vanilla. In this part of evolution it showed to be an extremely balanced and rich scent.
I say this from the point of view of who have felt many perfumes and knows how a good scent must behave.
It’s controversial and definitely not for anyone and for any time. For sure, it will be more appreciated by women. But still, it’s a perfume of high projection and frightening durability. My tip for this one is: wear it with caution!
