Yes I Am Cacharel for women of Cacharel

Share:

Description

Cacharel launches its brand new fragrance for women called Yes I Am, announced as a strong aspirational portrait of femininity. Yes I Am comes in a black smoky finished quilted glass bottle designed to reminiscent a lipstick, as “the most iconic object of a woman”.

The juice promises to be a sensual and modern oriental-spicy one. Fruity top notes include mandarin zest and sweet raspberry. The heart develops with white floral accords (Ginger Flower, Jasmine, Gardenia) and amber on a spicy and creamy agreement of notes that forms the base (Milk, Sandalwood, Cardamom).

Cacharel Yes I Am is available as of March 2018 in a heavy glass bottle with dirty pink juice as a 30, 50 and 75 ml Eau de Parfum.

Yes I Am was created by Honorine Blanc and Christophe Raynaud.

wow this is very similar to Avon Attraction, but much sweeter, warmer, and obviously on the gourmand side but at the same time has more woody and spicy tones which adds that extra depth to the scent.
Overall it’s a good berry-caramel-vanilla-amber type of fragrance, fun bottle too 🙂

I very much wanted to love this one, I’m a big Cacharel fan, and I love super sweet scent and love love love lipstick scent.
I do like it and if it was forty bucks or less I’d probably buy a bottle but for me personally it’s just to sweet and not much else, I don’t get any lipstick cosmetic smell unfortunately.
It’s unbelievable to hear me say it’s to sweet but it its like the creator was laughing like a mad man as he say ” You want sweet? I’ll give you sweet!”
It’s my second time wearing it and I was hoping that something amazing would happen but unfortunately to my nose it’s just non specific sweet and not special, I’ve smelt more interesting bubble bath.
So as much as I love super sweet perfumes, this is not something I’d spend much money on. It’s not gorgeous like the super sweet Fancy for example, which is a third of the price. If I was going to spend so much for super sweet I’d go with Tresor La Nuit.
The positive side, If you love this scent, it is long lasting.
It’s a like verging on a not like for me. So I guess I’m in the ‘No I’m Not’ crew lol

Love this one. Modern lipstick scent – gourmand without being gourmand. Sweet without being sickly. Comforting without being boring. Perfect for cool weather. I’m not a fan of the 2.5oz/75ml bottle (it looks… weird, just as a forewarning), but the 1oz/30ml one is really cute (it actually looks like a lipstick and not like… something else). It’s also long-lasting with moderate projection on me, and my skin tends to eat up perfume. Cacharel makes high quality perfumes at affordable prices, and I’m a big fan.
(In France this one costs €29 for the small, and €65 for the large)
P.S: No spicy notes whatsoever on my skin, please test this one as it’s a bit of a chameleon and actually smells really, really differently depending on one’s individual skin chemistry.

The bottle slightly reminds me to Miu Miu’s, whose colours reminds me to Cacharel’s Lou Lou. Full circle!
About the scent, it’s totally a Miu Miu-Prada concept, but they didn’t dare to do. It’s sweet, almost kistch for those tired of more of the same. But to me, wearing it for 4 months now, it’s like a mix between all the following fragrances I also own: YSL Black Opium (orange blossom, sweet coffee vibe, licorice) + YSL Belle d’Opium (sweet fruits, smoky, spicy, sweet/vanille tobacco) + Versace Crystal Noir (cardamom, ginger, that mysterious spicy touch) + Guerlain La petite robe noire (resinous, milky and uber sweet raspberry + licorice).
If you have already tested any of these 4 perfumes you may have a pretty clear idea of how it smells Yes I Am. Original? Definitely not, but somehow it has its own strong personality, it has that funk-folk-urban factor that lacks in many new releases faking “Instagramable” happiness (of course I’m thinking about Dior’s Joy) with watered down, tasteless fragrances in posh pink bottles with huge logo printed on it (bc that, and a famous face is what makes them sell).
To sum up, I really like Yes I Am because it’s bold, feminine and a little bit masculine at the same time, warm, creamy, addictive, it has a good sillage and longevity (at least in clothes lasts for days), it’s balanced, so well done, a quality that few have, since many make me end up detesting a particular note, sooner or later. That’s why I think it’s a worthy new “flagship” perfume for cacharel.

This is a beautiful scent and I was happily surprised by it. It’s very spicy and it reminds me of Indian chai tea. The longevity is poor and sillage also poor so I’m torn if it’s worth the money. I’ll probably keep this in my bag to spray throughout the day but I wish it lasted longer! Maybe they’ll bring out an intense version…Lastly, I also like the bottle. Even though it has a built in sprayer it’s easy to hold and spray on so I can’t complain!

This reminds me of the warm milk with cardamom and vanilla my mom made me when I couldn’t sleep as a child. So it’s very likeable because of this memory
The bottle is a fail, epic one at that. I can’t even look at it without blushing.
The tester wrapper describes the frag as ‘ultra daring accord of cream and spices’ – ‘daring’? I think not (or did they mean the bottle?)
Stays close to the skin and longevity is weak

I fell in love with Cacharel back in 1996 when Eau d Eden was released which became my first love. So I was keen to try Yes I Am. The bottle design looks more targeted to young girls but the contents not so. I find this spicy and a little sweet but very pleasant. However it’s fleeting on my skin. It wore off so quickly I had to re-apply it heaps today. I’m wondering if I will have more success in hotter temperatures. It’s 17 deg C today and on my skin this is performing like an EDT. The price tag was quite high but I’m not disappointed. I like this one a lot.

O yes I am getting a bottle of this lovely lady parfum.. smells sweet and pretty and sexy..

  11. :

If you can get yourself past the vulgarity of the bottle design, this will be a pleasant surprise.
Sweet….yes it is, but it has something that keeps you curious and interested!
If the notes mentioned are correct, I am very impressed. Most fragrances this side of the millennium lack a range in the notes. You need the patience to be able to appreciate this one.

Tone down the sweetness a few notches and it would be a winner. I can’t actually decide if I want it after sampling it. It smells good now after wearing it for a few hours but like others I have bought in the past I’m sure that after using it a few days I’d find it sickly.

  13. :

This is beautiful! Absolutely beautifully done! I find it similar to Diesel Loverdose, the purple heart bottle, maybe a bit sweeter. I was shocked to see how expensive this is at shoppers Drug Mart, I mean there prices are outrageous anyways but I expected this to be maybe around $50 but it’s $84 for the smallest size, sadly that means I won’t buy it unless it’s on sale!

  14. :

    3 out of 5

I was expecting the worst, based on the bottle design. But the bottle isn’t even that bad in person!
The scent is lovely. Truly lovely. This reminds me so much of Dior’s original Poison, but it’s not as voluminous— It’s not going to fill a whole room and that’s a good thing nowadays. It’s light spicy, creamy, powdery, and even bright, perhaps from the cardamom and fruit.
Very well done! I can’t completely wrap my head around this. It’s actually quite complex. And just when I had given up on Cacharel, they surprise me!

I just got a sample of this. I LOVE IT! Am I crazy? Starts out spicy then quickly the creamy and sweet notes starts to shine through. Beautiful white flowers are thrown in the mix as well. Waiting for the drydown, so far it’s a love, not even kidding. Give it a try! You might be positively surprised! <3

    YES I AM… A FAN!
The first “Spicy Cremoso fragrance by Cacharel“. The smell of this perfume is simply divine. A spicy and fruity floral blend that reveals an explosion of femininity. I just love it, it`s my new darling! I ain`t gonna lie when I first seen the bottle I was taken aback, but I don`t usually buy perfumes based on the packaging anyways. Like the saying goes “Never judge a book (or in this case, perfume) by it`s cover.“ To me, it`s all about the heavenly juice inside. The advantage is that it can be carried very easily in one’s bag too. It holds really well on my skin, I get a good 5 to 6 hours out of this, and I was surprised in this summer heatwave were having right now in Canada, it is not cloying at all or overbearing. I can just imagine what this will be like in the cooler autumn and winter weather! What more can I say except that, it’s a perfect combo between Amor Amor and Forbidden Kiss! I will definitely keep repurchasing this. ♥♥♥

    There’s nothing new in here.

I don’t understand why so many dislikes on this fragrance! It’s sweet but not overly done and deliciously creamy, nothing out of the box but so seductive and nice. I can feel the spicy notes until the end if i spray it at my clothes, on my skin though only the vanilla and creamy/sweet notes are predominant after +30 minutes. The longevity and sillage are amazing and I’m receiving so many compliments with this beautiful perfume, i’m in love!

A lot of hate for this fragrance . It’s a soft sweet oriental spicy . It’s long lasting and this is the only cacharel I appreciate a long with Amor Amor. It has its own carachter and I like that.

  20. :

    3 out of 5

NOPE! Not for me! This is not bad, its actually kind of nice if you like extra sweet milky fruity-floral, but I had to scrub it off as it was way too sweet for my taste. I own Promesse and Catch me from Cacharel, which I love, and used to own Noa, which I liked, so I was excited to try this new scent, but it’s a bit of a disappointment for me. Yes I am reminds me of Rihanna Kiss minus the ambergris. I’ll pass on this one.

The opening is amazing , if you like spicy fragrances !!!!! It gives this minty sensation, very sensual very sexy
BUT …. the dry-down is kinda disapointing
I Would still suggest it !

Here’s another awful pillar fragrance by a renowned and well-loved designer house. I’d say that the year 2017 was full of such disappointments, including Chanel Gabrielle, Mugler Aura, Hermes Twilly and other hugely awaited pillars that ended up on the scale somewhere between so-so and truly horrible.
Cacharel Yes I Am is a rather nasty mix of citric, sweet-fruity, spicy and white floral notes. It’s both sugary and sour and unbearably synthetic. I have no idea about its longevity because I had to wash it off straight away. Oh, and that dildo bottle is utterly chavvy.

  23. :

    3 out of 5

I’m in love with this fragrance, is so soft and a little sweet. Diferent to the typical perfume from Cacharel. I’ts a shame that Its has so many bad reviews. Deserves a try.

  24. :

    3 out of 5

Wow, this is a huge letdown. I love Cacharel fragrances and I was so excited for Yes I Am, their first pillar fragrance since 2012’s Catch Me. Normally Cacharel fragrances are so well done — they have olfactive signature and really fleshed out concepts, from name to bottle to marketing. They really tried to make an artistic statement with each fragrance they released. But oh how the mighty have fallen.
Yes I Am is a Bath and Body Works-caliber floral fruity gourmand scent. It’s smells unsophisticated, cheap, and like a million other things out on the market already. I could try to describe the notes, but honestly what’s the point? This kind of scent has been done to death and there’s really almost nothing to say about it.
Normally I love a kitschy bottle (a la Moschino or Gaultier) but Yes I Am’s bottle doesn’t even make sense. The proportions are so weird; why is there a huge, thick case and a tiny little lipstick coming out of the top? It looks even worse in the short little 1oz size. I wish I could have a conversation with the person who designed this bottle. Why does it have a quilted texture? Why do you spray the bottle by putting your finger directly on the lipstick and pressing down, something you would never do in real life unless you’re a psycho? Why doesn’t it have a cap or some sort of twist mechanism? The mind boggles.
Let’s ask the fragrance itself. “Are you disappointing?” The response — “Yes I Am”

  25. :

This one got hit with some pretty nasty reviews already! lol Wow… Whenever they get such horrible reviews it makes me want to test them even more. Just to see for myself. I hope people are overreacting. I actually think the bottle is pretty cute in its own way and it’s listed as comparable to several good fragrances like a Addict flanker, Prada Candy Gloss, & Hot Couture. How bad can it be? Well, I’ll let you know because I’m setting out on a mission to test it today.

  26. :

    4 out of 5

It does have sort of a mint note at the top, that goes away in a few minutes, but I don’t see it listed as one of the notes. I don’t think this fragrance is anything special, it’s fruity and sweet but pretty ordinary. The bottle is really cheap, and ugly in my opinion.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

Just another ultra-sweet, bland, floral-fruity, totally lacking of character perfume.
There was a time in which Cacharel perfumes were beautiful, coherent with the values of the brand, high-quallity, original and poetical. Each one of them in its own style. This was long ago.
It seems that Cacharel wants to ride the fruitchouly wagon, and this is done late and badly. Yes Am I is a totally unispiring blend of synthetic raspberry, mandarin taken from an economic line of air-fresheners and skimmed milk, that has became sour when somebody tried to blend it unskillfully with citric fruits. Lasting power and sillage are lacking.
The bottle, besides of being ugly (looks like some sort of sexual toy for precoucious teenagers) is not practical.

  28. :

This, Good Girl and Invictus bottles are the definition of cringe.

  29. :

    3 out of 5

I was looking forward to trying this out, now that I’ve had my chance I can say that this was, surprisingly, a letdown. I was expecting a powerhouse like its sisters Lou Lou and Eden, but instead, I got but a faint whisper no matter how many times I spray. I can smell a cherry cough drop at first spray, but that fades almost instantaneously into a generic sort of ‘sweet’, vanilla like fragrance, and then nothing. I don’t hate the bottle, even though it has been touted as cheap (and or) tacky, however the juice simply does not deliver.

  30. :

LOVE the smell, hate the bottle. Very cheap looking

    … back to the 80s …
    National Lampoon´s Vacation vibes.
Yes I am is that kind of perfume that you could find inside Ellen Griswold´s handbag. It smells like a strawberry milkshake, Revlon lipstick, scented candle & potpourri, all in one.
This fragrance is inoffensive, not too sweet/sticky/syrupy, it´s pleasant – but you know – I can´t find a good reason to wear it nowadays.

  32. :

Gummy bear scent in a bottle. Very cute and girly vibe. I was expecting something similar to Eden. The bottle is quite disappointing it feels cheap and plastic.

I love this 🙂 I just received my bottle from a fellow fragrance lover and I am thrilled. I will preface it by saying this fragrance is one where looking at the notes alone doesn’t reflect the perfume exactly. I would add that this is not a light strawberry/raspberry cream fragrance but it has a distinctive darker berry and cherry note mixed in with the creaminess. Two fragrances popped straight into my mind as similar for different reasons not that it smells exactly like them but you know how sometimes a fragrance will remind you of another in a certain way or effect? So I firstly thought of La Petite Robe Noire Couture by Guerlain as it this has that similar dark cherry note but done well, not a suffocating dark berry / cherry (such as a couple of bath and body works berry scents in my opinion) and this also adds a creamy element, so if you like the La Petite range try Yes I Am. Secondly, this reminds me in its intensity and ‘good plasticky’ quality (I hope that makes sense!) of Gucci Rush in the red tape box. I wonder if anyone else sees similarities. Yes I Am is not a wallflower fragrance, like Gucci Rush, it stands out and will get noticed making it especially great for nights out. As for the bottle, it’s cute and pretty and looks great on display if you like these types of bottles. I don’t quite get the name of this fragrance but that’s nothing really. For me, I love this and feel I have found another gem that I’ll likely buy again and wear a lot. I find it comforting even with its extroverted composition. I think it’s the creaminess that makes it even more accessible. And also it lasts ages when sprayed too! A very rare thing these days. Actually I think it’s the modern day Lou Lou which I love. Well done Cacharel. I hope this gains a following. Highly recommended.

    19. February 2018
Yes, i am not loving this scent.
The bottle doesnt look very attractive in real life, but the spraying mechnism is actually very convinient, but i agree tgat they could do a switchable top for closure.
Now when i sprayed this fragrance on my wrist i didnt know any of the notes but i instantly recognized the raspberry and i also thought there is a lot of vanilla in it. I bssically was smelling the strong synthetic raspberry and vanilla note. But to my surprise there is no vanilla but milk note… wellllllll… i dont know… the more it sits on my skin the more prominent magnolia note becomes and less agressive chemical raspberry note becomes. I do smell kind of resemblance to latest Escada “N.O.W” but then i like Escada better and in fact i dont like that one at all. So that sums actually up my experience with fragrance. After an 1.5 hour i had even to wash it off, so cloying and unpleasant it became on my skin.
No, this scent will not be new”i am” sadly.
P.s. i agree it smells in vein of Juicy Couture scents…

This perfume is totally in the spirit of this era, sugary and fruity but with some depth. The first thing I thought is: “Hey, it smells good”. And sometimes that’s all we need in a perfume, to smell good and forget all the rest. It’s a juicy, happy perfume. Let’s make it clear: It’s not the femme fatale’s red lipstick, it’s the girl’s next door, the girl who’s gonna go out and laugh and have fun.

  36. :

This is a tangerine perfume on me.
Frankly, I can hardly get anything else. Candied tangerine, done in a Moschino flanker style.
It is not terrible and I don’t hate the bottle. It could work well with some warm weather when we look for hesperidic fun scents.
But it is not milky at all to my nose, not a night scent and not something I would wear right now.
I will revisit in a couple of months.

  37. :

    4 out of 5

This is to my nose über sweet, I don’t like it.i don’t think it is an oriental floral..not to me….I expected more complex, more depth,.this is almost like a generic bath and body works scent…the bottle is very gimmicky to me..there is a hint of spicy, but the overall scent is like just another sweet scent..nothing else .the milky and warm spicy is drowned in sweetness .
It is already going for cheap on french websites… Cacharel l really created a mediocre perfume in my opinion. Nothing like Anais Anais or the other good creations from the brand.
It is going for swap so contact me if interested.

  38. :

    3 out of 5

This is a really bitter juice! To my nose, the cardamon and ginger were the stronger notes, followed by strong white flowers. No milk, no sandalwood. Somehow synthetic smelling….
The bottle definitely catches everyone’s attention in the stores and it could have been arty, if it hadn’t this plastic extra lid to cover the tip of the lipstick (say, if it turned left and right and up and down to open and close).
To be honest, i expected more from Cacharel, as it’s been so long since they last released something new.
Bottom line: bring back the whole bath range of Gloria!!!

  39. :

    4 out of 5

It was time for Cacharel to create a new perfume too. Their newest release seems impressive and does smell impressive I must admit. It’s an honest floriental; the ones who loves this category definitely give this a sniff.
A festive scent, to be worn in cold weather. I can’t really tell if it has a lipsticky smell despite the bottle looking like a lipstick. And if you think that the notes look incohesive, better judge after smelling. Reminds me of the scent of a christmas candle. Weird I know.
Mandarin and milk appear right away. Ginger that is sour and almost vegetal follows. Sweet; it’s a huge plus that it’s aromatic and not gourmand. A weird combination of notes: medicinal, tart and sweet but never over the top. Very nicely blended.
That masculine touch of cardamom cuts through the sweetness of the strong cherry/berry/raspberry accord. Dries down into a sweet floral-tart fruity scent with intense oriental vibes, that is actually very lady-like, tasteful, modern and creative.
To me, with Yes I Am, Cacharel tried to marry-in the most feasable way nowadays in order to have a success- aromas of the past with these of the present. The vintage element is here for sure. Projects in an inoffensive way, but lasts little less than six hours.
    Well done. Do sample.

It seems people are trying to see too deep into the design of the bottle which clearly looks like a lipstick. I personally think it’s cute and fun, perfumes are supposed to be fun and smell good and I am sure this one will smell great! The glass is supposed to be heavy and the lipstick part not plastic. I guess in person they will have a different opinion about it. I want it in my collection so thank you Cacharel for stepping out of the box and creating something fun! 🙂

  41. :

    5 out of 5

I’m excited for this. Should be fun to sell 🙂
This isn’t for the Greta Garbot’s or Marilyn Monroe’s, it’s for more playful characters by the looks of it. It’s for the Betsey Johnson’s and Debbie Harry’s, the more unique characters that like something different than a classy J’Adore or Coco Mad.
If you’re not the fun friend in the group, this is for your fun friend who’s not so uptight.

  42. :

    4 out of 5

Sounds interesting! I really like milky accords in perfumes so I definately want to try this one. I don’t mind the shape of a perfume bottle as I store most of my perfumes in their box to protect them from sunlight. It’s the juice that matters for me. But besides that I think this particular bottle is kinda funny.
@aura_therapy: lol, your post made my laugh!

  43. :

    5 out of 5

I can see the commercial now. A puzzle-faced woman says to the other “Are you using a perfume bottle shaped like a throbbing dildo?” Then the other one answers unapologetically “Yes I am”.
I’m sorry, I couldn’t help myself. Sometimes they just write themselves folks.

  44. :

    4 out of 5

In my opinion the bottle would be considered “Avant-Garde” if we still living in the 1930’s…but now! sorry. If it was well proportioned and pefectly made, it would be a reminiscent of “Elsa Schiaparelli” creations…

This a gorgeous, innovative fragrance. I LOVE the bottle. It is so wonderful to see some creativity in comparison to the so many of the bland bottles that we have seen over the past decade. It is warm and sultry. Love Cacharal’s new design and perfume! I highly recommend this one!

This thing of balloons has to end. It is not balanced say always nice thing or it will be the oblivion for you. So, as I had written yesterday (remouved cause of susceptible people) I love Cacharel, I have Pour l’Homme and LouLou, Anais Anais is a poeme, they always had this marvellous “modern-liberty” style for their flacons. But this new bottle is awful. A GIANT LIPSTICK? Really? More than childish is tacky, coarse. Please .Even sad with this dark grey purple. It looks like one of those bottle you find in Chinese Indian Discount supermarkets.
Seems an Avon bottle of the past millennium.
And what about the name… Yes I Am. Yes you are Without Creativity.
    What a fall of style.
