Correction: what smells good on me may not smell good on you and visa versa.

I don’t want my opinion on this fragrance put a damp on anyone else’s perception on it. I liked it at first but aftercwhile it dries down to an car fresher like smell. It’s not my thing but again my experience is my experience so you who are reading this right now don’t pre judge me. What smells good on me may smell good on you and visa versa.

use it properly for what it is (an eau de toilette) and you will smell it yourself for about 8 hours. Use it wrongly and you wou will smell it for 30 minutes! I love this fragrance & bottle as much as I love Dunhill’s Desire. Both being pretty close, even the bottle is clearly inspired by Desire. Very nice bottle though. Not so massive as Desire’s but masculine and bright red. As attractive as the fragrance itself. Spray it on your clothes & true your collar (I usually do about 10 sprays) on both shoulders, sleeves, chest. This fragrance needs about 3 hours to devellop & reveal itself. The start does have a little something citric which will soon disappear & become a nice soft, spicy, sweet scent. Nothing sweet like real oriental fragrances but a sweet, spicy something that is very nice & regulary teasing my nose since this morning. Nice & discreet towards other people I cross which is lovely. Definitily a good buy & fragrance I will keep on using instead of Dunhill’s. It does not have nothing cheap at all though it somehow is.

Yacht Man Red is a meal of day old stale donuts.
These Yacht Man Scents are budget scents and you can get them at Amazon or other discounters in the $6 range. Usually they come with add on pricing and are decent choices if you need to push a purchase into the free shipping range. There are 9 fragrances with similar bottle configurations to Yacht Man Red and I have never seen 2 of them for sale and I do own the other findable 6 from the line.
Red is a scent that has declined in my esteem over the years. It used to be my favorite from the line and now I like it less than the other 6. It has an oriental spicy feel to it and I do not own many fragrances of similar ilk so it still garners pulls. These days the opening has a plastic smell to it that I really dislike and it may be that the juice got old and did not respond well to age. Once it calms down, I still enjoy the mid and honestly there isnt much of a base or dry down to experience.
Performance wise this one is disappointing. I expect budget to last 4 hours though I often secretly hope for 6 and to reach celebrity fragrance expectations. I would say Red gives me about 3 with a sharp decline to skin scent that would limp to 4. I usually go a few extra sprays to get those 4 hours and sometimes I do a booster spray at the 2 hour mark. I own 7 fragrances from this line and as such only use Red in Fall and Winter. Its light enough for spring and summer use if you so choose.
Usage wise, I have owned this fragrance for 4 years. I wore it quite a bit the first year and have pulled it maybe 5 times this last season. The bottle is at 60% and I am starting to explore other uses for the product. I do not plan on purchasing a backup bottle of it even at giveaway pricing.
Overall, I am going to grade this one at 60 or D-. It gets good marks for value with markdowns for scent and performance. I am honestly glad of purchase of this fragrance but do not consider it to exceed the value of its price.
I still wear Yacht Man a few times a year as a fragrance. But its going to end up filling daily decants to finish off the fragrance. I still like the mid but 30 minutes of plastic opening and a short 3 hour fragrance life limits the sweet spot of the fragrance to a couple of hours.
I usually carry a daily decant with me with a bit of fragrance in it. I usually prefer 4711 but I like some variety and I will sometimes use other fragrances as well. Sometimes, a fragrance will die when I am out and I will use the decant as a booster spray for a bit of scent late in the day to carry me until I get home. Sometimes I see a toilet seat that I do not trust and a bit of alcohol makes me feel better about the throne. I’ve used these things as room sprays and car fresheners.
Honestly, I get a couple of bottles of pooh-pourri each year for Christmas. Pooh-Pourri costs $15 for a 4 ounce bottle and is a nice product. Just for kicks, I tried Yacht Man Red as a toilet freshener and it did just about as good of a job as the best selling product.
The bottle is glass with a red tint and when the fragrance gets low I plan on using it as a windowsill decoration with light streaming through the red glass and giving the room a nice warm red glow.
As cheap as this product was, I got value from the purchase and am happy with it but not so much that I want to buy another. After a couple of years, the scent turned towards plastic and I find it disappointing.
Sometimes its just as cheap to buy a dozen donuts as what you really want. And I do not know why they do it but sometimes the donut guys give you an extra one for free. Yacht Man Red is like that extra free donut. You look at that box the day after and you know those things are a bit stale but golly gee … they are still donuts.

Very similar to Dunhill Desire for a Man (red), though possibly softer in the base (which is good, AFAIC), and possibly not as metallic/”synthetic,” but you might need to spray more than usual. I can’t believe how good this is for the price! I also have Chocolate and like that one too. Projection and longevity are good for both, so long as you spray more than usual. For around $5 per 100 ml new, I doubt you’ll find better in this kind of scent, though it does smell a bit candy/chemical at first, that doesn’t last long.

Got this for $7.99 on sale at fragrancenet.com on a whim. I read about it here and thought I’d take a chance. I’m so glad I did.
It smells like you just got out of a shower after using the sweetest smelling soap. The silage is perfectly soft to moderate. It does sit close, but it radiates out, even past arm length.
I recommend this for anyone, especially those who prefer mild, sweet scents.

یادش بخیر دوران خدمت از این ادکلن ستفاده میکردم..شاید برای تجدید خاطره یه روز بگیرم تا خاطرات اخر خدمت در زندان مرکزی بوشهر(برج)برام زنده بشه.

Yes, it’s similar to Dunhill Desire and the price makes it look like a bargain. It’s not. This has the worst projection and longevity I’ve encountered so far. Spray all you want and it just evaporates.
An open can of fruit cocktail has better projection than this.

I Truly Love This Cologne Its One Of My Signatures. My Best Friends Know When Im Around Because Of The Scent It Leaves. I Get Compliments All The Time. A Must Have!

This cologne is an obvious imitation of Dunhill Desire, but without the longetivity or sillage… last about 5 seconds and can only be smelled by you, no matter how much you spray.
Smells pretty good if you take a quick whiff but if you smell very closely, all you can smell is just fragrant rubbing alcohol. There is no such thing as dry down with this cologne, because once it dries, its gone. Seriously.
I’m glad im only out 10 bucks, if i paid more i would’ve been even more dissapointed.
    Will not buy again.
