Unique, unusual scent! Very natural, immediately appealing. Opens with a lily-of-the-valley cocktail of white flowers, also featuring strawberry and musk. An unusual group, but it works well here thanks to the artistry of Liz Zorn. In lesser hands, these notes would not go together. But Zorn blends them into such a soft, beautiful accord, it smells like a natural grouping.
The musk is very warm and downy. It acts as a base for the other notes, allowing them to shine. It is a perfect foil so that the florals aren’t too sweet, and the strawberry isn’t tart. During the drydown, a wonderful underlying accord has a fruity/floral aura, with a scattering of other notes being recognizable at times. However, everything acts as a lily/musk backdrop.
A personal preference – I love l-o-t-v and strawberries, with musk being a like, and not a love. I thought this scent was very creative, but the whole time I wished I had a dial to turn down the intensity of the musk so that my favorite notes could shine a little brighter. C’est la vie! Even so, this is an extremely lovely, out of the ordinary fragrance!

A beautifully composed ode to tiny white flowers, lily of the valley dominates the scent for me. The berries (yes truly, strawberries are found here) have just ripened on their stems and cassis is there with its characteristic sweet-sour self. Musk is the second predominant note after lily of the valley, a slightly animalic musk but not dark enough to deter those who do not favour dirty musks. Natural sweetness from the flowers and fruit-unhampered from additives, earthiness from the musk, a tinge of tartness from the cassis and a lot of green in the background make this a bright and charming scent as if it were bottled out of the air from an idyllic countryside. Easygoing and gentle without being delicate, this can be worn pretty much anywhere.

The Main Notes according to votes look all wacky right now, since only 8 of us have entered data. Here are my impressions of this lovely fragrance of which I own a bottle.
This is primarily a perfectly-ripe strawberry, gardenia, lily of the valley, civet perfume on me. (EDIT: Talked to the perfumer and civet is not the musk most prominent here. Civet is in trace amounts and there are two other musks that I’m smelling. Good to know.)
Stunning combination, really. The currant bud and oakmoss are noticeable and ground the perfume beautifully so it doesn’t feel screechy. These earthy greens make the strawberry feel on the grassy-side, not like a berry candy.
This is not a gritty-earthy perfume, however. It’s lilting and joyful. Quite innocent and youthful for a perfume featuring animalic musks so prominently.
This would be a great fruity perfume for those who are really more into classic french florals, or a great classic french floral for those who normally go for fruity florals.
The opening is loud (and fruity), and it dries down to a bit of oakmoss, civet, currant bud, with sandal and vanilla (subtle) within about 5 hours. Some days I can smell the strawberry through the dry-down, and other days I really can’t very much.
I think this perfume shines in warmer weather. Spring and fall.
The juice itself is a deep and glowing yellow-gold. Wonderful.
