Description
Raw Spirit Winter Oak is Nomad Two Worlds’ first US Native American fragrance collaboration and incorporates an accord of Oak, a wood which figures prominently in west coast Native American history and culture. Winter Oak wraps smooth and creamy American oak notes in layers of luxurious suede, exotic saffron, Haitian vetiver and musk.
The official notes of Winter Oak are Clary Sage, Italian Bergamot, Pepper, Floridian Lemon Oil and Geranium in the top notes. Saffron, Mate Absolute, Clove Bud and Olibanum form the heart and Leather Suede, an Oakwood Accord, Oakmoss, Florida and Atlas Cedarwood, Haitian Vetiver, Patchouli and Sleek Musks round out the base.
Raw Spirit Winter Oak is available as a 30 ml Eau de Parfum atomizer and a 7.5 ml travel size rollerball. Winter Oak was launched in 2014. The nose behind this fragrance is Harry Fremont.

An excellent woods fragrance. Clean but strong like the Oak in the opening. The dry down is also very nice. I didn’t think I liked Oak themed fragrances when I first tried them, but they have really grown on me. This one is definitely on my radar now.

This is the second offering that I’ve tried from Raw Spirit.. I love this one too!! It is warm and cozy, and does remind of me taking a stroll through a forest. The notes really describe this one well. I smell all the woods, and it’s warmed up with some subtle spices. Yum!

This really does smell like winter oak. Its one of the best woodsy perfumes I have ever smelled.

I received a sample of this fragrance with press materials from Nomad Two Worlds. Winter Oak is a beautiful unisex (maybe leaning towards the masculine a bit) fragrance that opens with sunny citrus aromas and a dry woody/spicy scent. The gorgeous Haitian vetiver I loved in the line’s Bijou Vert and Citadelle scents is noticeable here, too, but the oak and woody notes really dominate the scent. The suede appears about two hours in and begins softening the edges of the wood. Winter Oak has good longevity, fading over the course of 7 hours or so–pretty much an entire workday–to the gentle patchouli and musk of the base.
Overall, Winter Oak is a clean, pleasant, truly unisex fragrance that is especially well-suited to Autumn and Winter, with average sillage and good persistence. A pleasure to wear or to smell on someone close to you.
