This smells exactly like a bodywash I used as a kid. I don’t remember what it was, but that violet note is sticking out so badly that it ruins the rest for me. The cedar plays nicely into the violet but it can’t save the final outcome.

I can not point my finger at any of the notes except for a bit of wood, violet and fresh mandarin oranges but i dont have to as the outcome is a good scent anyway. Its simply a modern, a bit green, a bit woodsy, a bit floral and a bit sweet scent that i find to be pleasant. This is one of the few Pierre Montale creations that is not created after that heavy and sticky oriental oud, vanilla and rose formula.

    Slightly creamy peppery cedar.
And that’s it, for eight hours, that’s all I get….really very dull.
    Do like the bottle though.

At the opening I was sniffing my wrest and seeking in my collection for a fragrance that was smelling like!! It has so familiar opening! I searched and yeah Carolina Herrera CH man! It was that! Sugary grassy seductive sexy scent! But it’s just at opening! It’s not a linear scent! In dry down it gets a bit dusty, dirty woody scent! Oh man so sexy and powerful! It projects soft but beastly! Smoothness and performance is the thing that mancera house famous by it! If you have not this masterpiece in your collection you lost a lot I think! In my opinion this scent is also unisex 60% masculine and 40% feminine…. performance 10 hours plus on skin and days on shirt… I love dry down of this stuff! It takes 1 hour to reach to that scent…. also when you wear it during the day and then took shower the scent get crazy sexyyyyyy…. enjoy it guys

To begin with the ceder-pepperiness comes off rather strong. Pungent even. However, the dry down is adorable! The scent gives way to a dreamy earthy, green and slightly powdery bubble. But there lies the problem- I’m not sure i’m patient enough to wait for it to get to the good bits . . .

I get the woods while wondering where the wind has gone to.
    Must have blown away itself.
But it surely didn’t blow away the sickening violet note.
Very long lasting. The sillage owns its power to the combo woods+violet+pepper (galore).
I am going to take a shower right after writing my review.
The fragrance is undoubtedly a very trivial one , in my opinion it is as original as the sand on a beach.
Please be careful when spraying, anyway.

A terrific, little known masculine fragrance. Wonderful blend of leather and wood. Should be part of every mature man’s wardrobe.

I ordered a sample of Wind Wood the other day as I liked the name. So far I’ve been using Mancera’s Black Prestigium and have received lots of compliments. It’s quite an usual scent and has to be used sparingly as it is really strong and long-lasting. Wind Wood is a fresh summery scent with a prominent violet head note, followed by a nice and spicy sandalwood dry-down. I’ve had it for two weeks and have already received quite a few compliments when wearing it. I think overall it’s very similar to Dolce & Gabbana’s Pour Homme and also a bit reminiscent of Kiton Pour Homme, but more balanced and much higher quality than both of them. If you like D&G Pour Homme and/or Kiton give Wind Wood a try. You won’t regret it.

This one is an underrated beauty. Dark, woody and leathery while still remaining green and fresh throughout. I wouldn’t say it’s close to GIT. It is more smoothly blended, without any sharp notes, and is more dry and spicy than it is aquatic. If GIT is a stroll in the rainy Irish country side this is somewhere deep in the jungle. I do pick up on the fact that they have some things in common – notably the violet, but even that is more reminiscent of the violet in Fahrenheit than GIT. There is something about it that reminds me of Polo Modern Reserve, but that one is far more dark and dense, whereas this has a great balance of freshness to it

Fire…the beauty is in the dry down…and don’t smell it too close. Let it come to you. This is the case with most Manceras. Wind wood is truly underrated.

Can’t really get my head or should i say nose around this juice. Tried it a few times I’m from the UK and have a 99% full 120ml bottle if anyone in the UK is interested in taking this off my hands. Message me please.
    Edit
Dam its a beauty after giving it a few more goes so badly I didn’t sell this rare beauty.

This is a very well blended perfume that gets it’s character from a nice combination of cedar, vetiver, and violet. The rest of the notes, play their supporting roles really well, with pepper becoming stronger as the scent settles. It is a little wet, a little aromatic, and a little fresh. On my skin it smells very nice, likable, and easy to wear – all year round.
It’s not very original and I smelled similar scents before, but still it has good quality ingredients and is done well. Because of personal preferences, I won’t add it to my wardrobe, but I can recommend it if you are interested in this family of scents.

    “Wind wood Macera”
Wind wood starts powerful but gently ، Aldehydic fresh with blast of bergamot orange feeling in it , then gets more leathery , Smooth , with that distinctive “flowery Violet patchouli leathery combo ” which makes this scent different than most of popular crowd pleaser scents in the same Genre with that woodsy dose of “Iso e super” quiet spicy powdery combine with marine sense and that sensual mossy barbershop kind of smell in the depth in modern classical style .
“Wind wood” it’s complex and something different than the most of Ambroxan trendy cheapy smelling or vanilla synthetic scents, which are field up the markets and brands this days , “Wind Wood” its quality smooth and well blended outstanding perfume , with unique things going on !
    Uplifting Manly Elegance

This has been my signature scent for the past two years. My wife got a whiff of this and lost her mind (in a good way)…she said it smelled sexy, sensual, and manly. I’ve been wearing this lovely fragrance for over 26 months…please sample this fellows, you will love it!
Women can pull this off as well. I bought this fragrance on my way to Italy at an airport…for a decent price. This is an EDP…niche quality! On my skin it last about 10-12 hours. I generally shower 2-3 times a day. This fragrance was still on my skin after showering. This fragrance leaves a scent trail…people will smell you about 2-3 feet away. In my opinion, its best worn in the fall or early winter…and definitely the spring.
Caveat: if you don’t like scents that have vetiver or oakmoss…this might not be for you. However, women love this scent…I have never had one bad comment and this is my signature scent. In my opinion, this is a grown man fragrance…that’s subjective because age is irrelevant…if you pay your own bills, in college, working, etc. You are a grown man in my opinion. So, man-up and get this scent gents…you will not regret it (sample first). This is not a blind buy in my opinion. 4 sprays MAX gents/ladies…this stuff is powerful yet smooth.

Another great fragrance from mancera. Its crisp, woody, light and energizing. oakmoss vetiver and light on a pink pepper are dominant notes in this. Feels like spring in a bottle. I use about 5 sprays and im good to go. Perfect for warmer weather. Though I cannot detect any citrus notes in this maybe I cant catch my nose to it. Longevity is ok. I get about 6 maybe 7 hours of performance and descent projection. Most of my mancera I have tried are strong and potent mainly because they have aoud in it but this one is nice and safe to wear and its a crowd pleaser. And it wont hurt someone nose if overspray. Would definitely dig this this summer. Good job mancera

Amazing !! smells like aqua fahrenheit with more strenght! What I get is a salty cucumber with a hint of leather. Longevity great, projection great. I don’t get olfactory fatigue with this one.
Smells manly! I always get a compliment wearing this one!

WIND WOOD is one of the overlooked gems in the Mancera Catalogue and one of my favourites along with Wild Leather. The hype train is all about Cedrat Boise and Roses Vanille and Aoud Vanille these days and while all of the above are well deserving of it, some of these lesser known gems get swept aside in the process. Another thing I have noticed is that because they are pretty cheaply priced for niche, they dont have the snob value of say MFK or Xerjoff so people tend to overlook this Brand but make no mistake, they have some gems and Wind wood is one of the better frags I have smelled in a while.
Initial notes are a green citrus, with a slightly acrid smell, which is the pepper which is very legible. The smell of a jar of green peppercorns. This phase of the fragrance lasts for about half an hour before the real transformation happens and the beautiful violet and patchouli blend comes through. Lot of people smell the green top notes and the violet in the heart and assume this is a GIT clone which this most definitely is not. They are similar type of frags sharing some common notes but they do very different things. That being said, if you are a fan of GIT like I am, you should definitely check this out as you will find quite a few things to love here. From the base notes listed what I get mostly is the woody cedar and a dry, stark vetiver which blend with the violet note. I dont get any oakmoss but there are hints of a sweet ambery white musk and also a kind of ashy note which I am assuming is the leather if sniffed close to the spot sprayed, in the dry down. Now all this might sound complicated but in execution, what Wind Wood turns out is a clean, woody, violet frag. Nothing daring or risky, just great smelling.
Longevity and projection like most manceras is excellent. 2 sprays to the chest and it lasts all day and office friendly as well. Actually got a compliment from a lady client I was showing some properties to so all good there. This and Wild Leather are my favourite hidden gems in the Mancera line up and frankly, I get more compliments with these than Cedrat Boise or Roses Vanille, despite all the hype they have. Maybe it’s my body chemistry but for whatever reason, this is a winner for me. 2 thumbs up.

Wow!! More manly goodness from Mancera!
Wind Wood reminds me of Aoud Violet but with leather in the dry down. The two are slightly similar in the beginning stages, however both are nice in their own right!!
IMO, I don’t the GIT resemblance, sorry friends!! This does however remind me of Bois 1920 Classic a bit; has the light, slightly citrusy (not lemon) feel with some Vetiver and musk also, freshness and woodiness…
Done a side by side test of the two and they go in totally opposite directions.
To me, Aoud Violet dries down with musk, Wind Wood dries down with some spiciness disguised as leather with some aquatic nuances in the background with a touch of sweetness.
Overall, a great buy for anyone who desires! Projection is great; sillage is nice also, longevity is off the chart as with all the Mancera’s I have. I must admit, there’s also, in the dry down a menthol kind of effect mixed with the leather, not a bad thing just an observation! Wonderful fragrance!!

This is another blind buy, which I don’t regret for! It isn’t something unique, but it is very nicely done, woody aromatic, earthy scent. This instantly reminds me of Terre d’Hermes and I’m glad, cause I like it. In comparison with TdH it has similar earthiness, but with less citrus plus violet and oakmoss added. Longevity and projection are above average and it meets my expectations for EDP concentration. Overall I can recommend this to all TdH fans and to all lovers of woody, earthy, green scents.
My ratings: Fragrance 8/10, longevity and projection 10/10

Very nice smell, a little more poorer than Creed Green Irish Tweed .

Don’t expect any leather in this. It’s a soft pleasant woody and green fragrance but different from the typical woody/Green frag because of this aldehyde vibe to it. It’s a nice fragrance but that whole aldehyde feeling may make it smell a bit synthetic! Not sure if it’s bottle worthy!

Woody-green with a touch of violet and pepper. The fragrance is true masculine, not that original for me, but very well made. Great everyday fragrance for the guys who like true classical, sporty colognes made with a great quality ingredients.

A nice, masculine (although the shop assistant who I got the sample from said she wears it.), woody perfume.
Mancera have done well in creating some interesting fragrances, Wind wood not being their most but definitely worthy of merit. Looking at the notes here you’d think it was a new take on vetiver perhaps? but it really is a combination of dry cedar and some slightly greener, woody notes and vetiver.
The opening is pink pepper, hint of violets and cedar and musk not cliched or over baring, then WW dries down to a tiny amount of soft leather, vetiver and woods.
Nothing ground breaking as I mentioned already and very accessible stuff but I wasn’t expecting anything massively brave.
Fair longevity and projection I will have to sample again to be sure but I’m pretty certain my first impressions are correct.

I have a sample from MinNY.
I get a lot of pink pepper, violet leaf, cedar and musk in this.
It is reminiscent of Dsquared2’s Rocky Mountain Wood with the combination of those notes and how smooth the musk is.
Its ok, but not something I would spend $160 on.
If I had to score it, I’d give it a 6/10.

My wife loves this fragrance on me. She smelled it not knowing what it was, and said it smelled like woods, so this could be of those frags that I perceive entirely differently than others.
I wasn’t blown away by it at first. I’ve had about three weeks and 4 wears or so to identify the notes and I believe I need longer. So far all I’m getting is a slight soapy musk, oak moss, green, a strong violet/cedar combo and absolutely no leather at all to me. I honestly expected something completely different and was expecting an actual leather/violet combo. Maybe the oak moss and musk are creating a very neutral leather……? Or maybe my allergies are giving me shit.
Wind Wood has grown on me very fast due to my wife raving about it + I love violet and she loves violet more than I do. The sillage is amazing and the longevity is sick. So this turned into another blind buy that I don’t regret.
I strongly recommend sampling Wind Wood first, due to the lack of leather in a fragrance labeled leather! It still remains a quality Juice along with the rest of the Mancera line I’ve acquired.
    7/10

Heavily oakmoss, then vetiver, I can not perceive citrus notes and even leather. Good sillage and longevity. For lovers of “I live in the wood”. To try.
