I recently purchased Mythos Wild Rose and after one week of non-stop wear, here’s my impression of it. So, Mythos (which is Greek for “legend”) opens with a burst of lily and jasmine and a faint citrusy freshness from the orange, resembling Modern Muse a lot. Very summery and pleasant. Then, after 20 minutes or so, it starts behaving like a soliflore. A very true and authentic rose, like I spritzed myself with enhanced rosewater. It’s romantic in a very Ancient Greece way. The dry down depends heavily on the spot where the juice was spritzed. On my arms, after 6 hours I got a soft sandalwood scent but on the warmer parts of my skin, like behind my ears, Mythos Wild Rose transforms to a heady musk that lasts for more than 10 hours. I wake up everyday to a musky goodness in the likes of Tesori d’Oriente Muschio Bianco. What a complex little gem it is! For about 20 euros!
It makes me happy finding out that Greek companies make such great efforts in perfumery. I wish it was marketed towards locals too, because so far I only find it at places tourists frequent. It deserves much more recognition.
