Although I found BS White Musk very disturbing, this edition won me over due to its resemblance with MAC’s unfortunately discontinued MV2 which always reminded me of vanilla ice cream melting in the summer. This was slightly more sharp but the sweet sugary presence continues to linger for hours

I agree with other reviewers that the name is spot-on: this smells like a luxurious tropical vacation complete with fancy drinks, sand, and sun. I found the “main course” and drydown to be excellent smelling – like a fruity version of their white musk, or a lighter version of smoky rose. Unfortunately, the opening notes were a blast of pepper that I couldn’t really get over, even though it didn’t last very long. I liked it, but wound up giving it away since it didn’t really work with my skin chemistry and didn’t seem like a good scent to wear at work. I would not recommend this as a blind buy.

There was something a bot odd about this on me, not memorable or special in any way, I’ve given it away.

I received this via a swap, purely blind swap but i love Libertine and was intrigued by the notes. It is the most beautiful Musk scent, next to Libertine. Oh why is this limited edition ? I like the immense fresh opening of pepper and bergamot which very quickly blooms into a smooth, powdery heart due to the orris and heliotrope. ( the rose is not very dominant, smell a tiny rose). The carnation provides that little greeny, spicy touch and the dry down is extremely nice : woody, sensual musky… Oh, this is such an under-rated scent, BS should better consider to include it in their permanent line, i don’t understand that such gem has to go while their normal musk is very plain and boring. I treasure this in the meantime, hoping my bottle will last for ages.. And by the way, the longevity is amazing, even for an edt. If you can find this beauty on the net, grab it, you will not be disappointed.

I am hoarding the last few drops of this perfume, which I bought at a ridiculously discounted price at an end-of-season sale. It literally does smell like a white hot summer: sex on the beach, rum-infused cocktails, the humid night air. However, it manages to do so in a way that isn’t vulgar or overpowering; I’m not embarassed to wear this out to a casual dinner or to a movie theatre. I would love to know what similar scents are still on the market as this is one of my absolute favorites.
EDIT: I found this for sale on eBay and purchased three more bottles!

Contrary to the sunset-like summery bottle, White Musk White Hot Summer is actually a subtle powdery fragrance. The opening has quite a lot alcohol, with a hit of bergamot and violet. However, it soon settles down to a powdery combination of orris root and heliotrope. The carnation offers some spiciness to uplift the flowers. At the late drydown, there is also a soft creamy woody smell.
The sillage is close along the 5 hours’ wearing. Considering the powdery texture, I’d prefer wearing it in spring and autumn. A versatile fragrance at a reasonable price.

In the opening I get a strong dry woods spiked with pink pepper and a squirt of bergamot. If there is a sliver of green, (the violet leaf) it is soon taken over by the floral mid notes which seem to be “pushed” or enveloped by powdery orris root as it warms to the skin (best part!). And then more woods. Without the sweetness it almost seems to have a sharp-dry-raw-wood-new-paper scent; An odd angle upon first spritz but a lovely dry-woody-floral upon dry down. Very nice for summer.

Didn’t like this at all had a wierd note in it … not sure what it was. Used it as a room spray in the end.
Strangely though I did like the body milk scented with this and actually used that 🙂

I would have to say that this is a very very feminine perfume. I love the carnation in it, the spiciness it gives to this composition. This to me is a super sweet scent almost on the verge of being gourmand. I love this perfume so much. i
Its sad to me that I did not buy two bottles because it is a limited edition. The staying power is awesome, I find it lingers and I get a sweet spicy wif every now and again. I don’t think a teenager would wear this perfume because it is to sophisticated, even though it might come off as gourmand to some. I get no citrus in this or any fruit whatsoever. Only musky sweetness with flowers and pink peppery woody note

I tried this last summer it was quite nice and reminds me of a hot steamy night. ( make of that what you will)LOL………..

Opens up with light warm fruits, after a while it turns to somewhat baygon brand bug-sprayish on my skin, even though the bug spray note is very very light. Then it turns to sweetish musky base.
I find the drydown kinda similar to the white musk blush (by body shop too).
FASTSleep – :
The Body Shop’s noses are pretty good at creating nice, light fragrances, perfect for every day wear during summer. White Musk White Hot Summe might not be very memorable, and even within the TBS fragrances it is not the very best, but it is very safe. Personally I like it better than the regular edition, besides this is more suitable for teenagers.
