Charmingly masculine on a man and exotically sexy on a woman. This is my only like from the Bloomsbury collection. It is a cozy rosy boozy drunken love for me (I feel “bossy” wearing it actually), with a smooth, gentle shot of whiskey and warm cedar. The rose scent gave the composition sophistication, class and elegance. Very interesting, and unique indeed, perfect for a cold winter night. I was so lucky to snatch this rare find at a steal price. A few light sprays would be enough to make a great entrance statement at any party. Less is more in this case.

love it!
my local jo malone counter sold out within a few months. they still kept the tester, though, which i would keep coming back to the store for.
then, on holidays in fukuoka, i saw this in the duty free shop and bought the remaining 3!
quite steep, but it’s unique in the range. seriously, i have never smelts cedar come across so undry. it’s a revelation!

It starts off boozy and just ends up “warm”. Love it!

I love whiskey and cedar, so I had high hopes for this one. While it is not a bad scent, it didn’t knock my socks off either. Being a guy that does not care for rose, I get much more rose that I care for. The cedar is present throughout, but I was hoping for more than just a small sip of whiskey. The dry down is the best part of this scent. The rose blends into the cedar and make this one bearable.
I find this one to be much more feminine that masculine. In fact I would LOVE to smell this on a woman, but it is a pass for me.
I did get good longevity, but moderate projection on my skin.

Quite lovely. Rich on cedarwood with a ‘sip’ of whiskey to spice things up (booze smell doesn’t overpower). A welcome spritz
of rose balances / feminises this quality unisex woody fragrance. Reasonable longevity. This is different enough to stand out from the crowd & skillfully blended into a smooth warm delight.

This perfume is so intoxicating. I love it. I am crazy about the notes of whiskey, pimento, cedarwood, and floor wax…It’s a gorgeous woody perfume and the unusual note of floor wax really make it more special. And I adore the ”painted” bottle and the concept of this limited edition about the Bloomsbury group.

Love this one from the Bloomsbury set! It is similar to the JM Black cedarwood and juniper, but not as sweet! It gets boozier and deeper in the dry down!

I like this one, and I pre-ordered it. It’s masculine, so avoid if that isn’t your thing. Whisky and cedarwood starts boozy and sweet with the whisky, and then gets very woody. I think it would be gorgeous layered, maybe with pomegranate noir or myrhh and tonka??
