I remember advertisers giving thousands of free samples of this at my high school’s gates and in football games around the early 90’s. So every boy at my school bathed in this for months and it was the most awful thing I ever smelled. Pungent, nasty, incredibly strong and unbearable in close quarters and hot weather. Funny this awful smell reminds me of my school crush who got himself a plastic bag full of samples and used every one of them during the year. I can only think of something as awful as this and it is the old Varón Dandy cologne. Luckily Vorago is very rare today. On the other hand Varón Dandy still goes strong among senior citizens.

I do not remmember it as being so bad ;), although it is true that it was a typical, very strong and generic men’s cologne. The date of release is wrong: it appeared for the first time in the mid’eighties. It didn’t contain any note of absynthe, the smells of spirits were not fashionable then. It was advertised by Don Johnson, who was at those days very famous due his role in the TV series Miami Vice, which was hugely popular in Spain.
