This has been my favourite for a long time, the perfect spring welcoming fragrance, it is a shame that it has been discontinued. My old bottle has a little bit on the bottom, but now it’s only good for room freshener as the opening turned alcoholic, I spritz and enjoy the mild, dreamy spring air it brings. It also had more decent longevity than the lilac and lily of the valley fragrances by Fenzi I use nowadays for this purpose, or the Yves Rocher versions. I loved this so much and I miss it.

I declare Volare Spring Flower my “welcome spring” fragrance.
Like in 2011, I chose it to be MY fragrance for the first days of spring this year.
Volare Spring Flower opens with a burst of sunny and energizing citrus notes that put me in a good mood straight away.
It only takes moments for the gorgeous wisteria to come out and play with the citruses.
Wisteria is indeed strongly reminiscent of lilac but it is lighter, a lot less dense, and comes without lilac’s head-ache potential that seems to trouble quite a few people.
This fragrance is actually even fit for summer wear as it oozes soft and sweet freshness.
The drydown is mainly about wisteria and musk with the musk note being a little smoky; I agree with Action, Volare Spring Flower is quite sensual at this stage (my husband says so, too).
What I like about this fragrance is that it lasts and lasts.
It surrounds me in a sweet but fresh wisteria/lilac-like scent cloud that is with me all day.
And when I spray Volare Spring Flower at night, the scent is still quite prominent the next morning.
The musky notes are distinctive, too, but they stay rather close to the skin – I like to say that they are to be enjoyed by me and my loved one only. 🙂
All in all this is a great, long-lasting spring fragrance that can be worn on warmer days, too.
I also recommend it to everyone who loves lilac but finds it hard to deal with the headiness that comes with lilac, like in YR Pur Désir de Lilas (which I happen to love but which makes my husband nauseous).

Rarely I can wear an oriflame perfume, because mostk smell like a cheap imitations. But this one is an exception to me. It’s jasmin and a little of musk and fresia but mixed very well and precious. Feels like smelling natural flowers. in the bottom it is getting a little bit spicy

I love the original Volare but I LOVE this one as well!! I need to get me some big bottle of this!

While the beginning has a healthy blend of aromas Spring Flower settles into the base notes quickly. I agree the wisteria is the predominant note in the dry down and it does happen to smell very much like lilacs. It’s a slightly sweet, soft scent. Somewhat comforting, good on overcast cool spring or summer days. Along the lines of Herve Leger in style, but brighter and more floral.

Smells like lilacs, only lilacs and nothing else. It is light and boring since it has no other components. If you like lilacs go and get it.
