I’ve arrived at Vol-870-YUL-CDG in search for something specific. The HG is a spray perfume version of a Christmas holiday bar-soap I own, that smells like Siberian Fir with *sweet* Berries (raspberry, blueberry, blackberry). Substitution of Siberian for Balsam fir is fine, and I wanted to see if Apricot can stand in for the berries. Vol-870 wasn’t what I’m looking for, but it’s lovely in its own right.
Cypress and fir come through in equal measures, and the Apricot is decidedly unsweetened. There are brands that intentionally falsify their accords, in order to minimize cheap copies. That’s not the case here. Monsillage’s pyramid matches my experience. They’re a good house. Love their Eau de Celeri, and own a full bottle of Pays Dogon.
If you have suggestions on the Siberian Fir x Berries, please PM me.

I have a sample of this from twisted lily. I want it as it smells so unique. Some women or men who like very “feminine” frags might find it a little too masculine but I think that is only because of the fir and the sage which are there but the Osmanthus and apricot really smooth and unisex it imo. This is so worth trying. I’d say it is mostly a skin scent but might be wider with a spray bottle. my very first reaction was that I was in a wood shop with freshly cut wood which to me is a good thing.
