The bottle comes in luxury packaging in bright pink with a bow ribbon, while the interior is decorated with black and white stripes and black satin on which the flacon is lying.

Opening notes of the composition provide a blend of forest fruit and mandarin. The heart is rich and floral, composed of honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, resting on a creamy and warm base created of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and praline.

Viva La Juicy Viva Lux Parfum is available at Macy’s where price of this edition is $1000, due to pure perfume concentration in the amount of 100ml, and in sales it is available at the price of $98 because it is only available in limited number. Update: Now I can see what sets this one apart with others Viva La Juicy. It is purely the quality and the performance itself: SO SMOOTH and LONG LASTING (over 12 hours straight, the scent still remains recognizable and unchanged).

I’m sorry…I must have read it wrong…I’m a big fan of Viva La Juicy but I have such a hard time believing that this Luxe version was sold at Macy’s for $1000 when it was just released!!!! I bought it recently from eBay. It smells nice just like other Viva perfumes or flankers, but I don’t think that back then, or even now, it was (or is) worth a thousand dollars, unless the bottle HAS TO have REAL gold plate on the front with REAL gems, AND the juice inside HAS TO last for…the whole week straight 🙂

I thought I hit the jackpot when I found this on ebay for $34 from Fragrancenet. Esp considering the Pure Parfum and original price tag.
And I was so happy to see the bottle was totally full, and came with the cap! (advertised as a cap-less, 95% full bottle)… but that is where it ends.
This just says Limited Edition Parfum on the bottom, nothing about pure parfum, or Luxe. And I do not believe it’s any different than VLJ EDP. Oh well. I love VLJ anyways, so I will wear this. But not one time did I think this was stronger than the original EDP. $34 is about the rate for any VLJ 3.4 tester, so I’m not sad.
I shamefully ordered the Intense version too…. but it hasn’t reached me yet. 🙂

This edition is hard to get, I bought it online and happily it is as gorgeous as I expected. The smell is to me just like the original VLJ that I love, but in a luxury packaging, the white bottle is adorable and comes in a big pink satin box, really it is beatiful. The lasting power is like the original which is quite good:) lovely perfume, thank you Juicy Couture!

I received this today for Christmas!!! I’m super excited because I really wanted more of the original viva la juicy, but wanted to try this in the “Luxe” and “So Intense” version because of VLJ’s poor longevity… I have to admit, I’m no expert and have not researched, but something about this one is richer and sillage & longevity is a little better. I know everyone is going to say, “it’s the exact same notes” “it’s the same perfume… Ya da ya da ya” and you may actually be right, BUT there has to be something different. Maybe they added more percentage of a note than the other or something, IDK! All I know is that some how, it’s better and I’m super excited to try out the So Intense version!

And I thought Couture Couture was good.
This is very nice! Vanilla and caramel are detected.

I now have both the Luxe Parfum and original Eau de Parfum formulations. This is the same scent, packaged in special edition white glass bottle. As far as parfum versus eau de parfum concentrations? The Luxe Parfum does seem stronger to me with increased sillage and longevity. Not dramatically so, but noticeably so.
The packaging is pretty. The bottle comes in a satin covered presentation box with bow, and the white glass bottle has some extra blingy bits on it which would make it nice for display if you’re into pink and bling. It’s a heavy bottle with a good bit of weight to it and overall it has a quality feel. I purchased it at a closeout price so it was the same cost as the eau de parfum would have been. I chose this one because of the decorative bottle and the hope that luxe parfum might give it some more staying power.
The fragrance on me is fruity, floral, and sweet in that order. My body chemistry pulls the fruit notes forward and the sweet notes are almost lost. I find it pleasant, feminine, light, and girly, but still wearable for a wide age range. I’m in my 40’s and have been very pleasantly surprised by it and how well I wear it.
It really reminds me of a trio of fragrances I wore in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. Tribe, Electric Youth, and Exclamation. They all had that same fruity-floral-sweet vibe about them and I think Viva la Juicy is a modern and higher end version of them.

Is this a new scent of Viva La Juicy or just same scent, different bottle?
UPDATE: Purchased it a while ago & its the same exact scent, just a different bottle!

    Me again 😀
Back to add… I don’t know why, but after I’ve been using this regularly, I actually now get a good longevity and sillage, with a normal amount of sprays. I don’t know if the fact that the weather is warmer makes such a huge difference, or if it’s possible that the juice in the tube was “diluted” during the initial wearings or what, but this performs well now. It’s really weird and I was so disappointed at first when the longevity and sillage seemed so poor. My nose couldn’t be off, because I smelled every other perfume just fine. Maybe it’s the weather/ temps? Anyways, to be fair I had to come back and say that I sprayed 2 sprays of this well over 12 hours ago, and I can still clearly smell it.

Juicy Couture responded to my email when I asked about this concentration:
“We have verified that both the Viva La Juicy fragrance and the Eau De Parfum have a 20% oil content”.
As i understand it, the EdP and “parfum” are exactly the same stuff then? They put the EdP in a different bottle and decided to call it “parfum”. The wonders of marketing eh.

I feel you Chiquis. I really love the scent, and the quality makes me so frustrated. I keep spraying like a mad woman, which I normally wouldn’t even bother to do. All my EdT’s perform better than this “parfum”. This bottle will not last me long, and that’s coming from someone who never finishes a bottle. Have to do some research on better quality scent- alikes…

This was a blind buy for me, based on great reviews of the original Viva. I was a wee bit scared to test it as I got it. I prepared myself mentally for a juvenile uber sweet sickening smell. Some reviews say it smells like Amor Amor, which I don’t like at all. Viva la Juicy has also been voted as being similar to Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia, which I liked a lot.
Well, this is somewhat similar to Amor Amor, BUT. The new formulation of AA smells really chemical and cheap to me. Every time I’ve tried to wear it, I get the urge to scrub it off. Reviews say that the old formula was much creamier and overall better done. I could imagine that Viva is similar to the old one.
This is very sweet but it isn’t sickly sweet to me. The sweetness tones down after 5-10 minutes, and it gets creamier. This doesn’t smell chemical at all. Where I always end up wanting to scrub off AA, I keep sniffing Viva thinking it smells better the longer it’s on my skin. That’s a HUGE difference, even though they are similar.
I’ve never tried the original Viva, so can’t compare it to this LE. As this is a perfume spray (not an EdP), I could imagine that this has better longevity and more depth.
I don’t think perfume has any age limits. Having said that, I couldn’t see myself wearing Britney’s Fantasy, I gave my bottle to my niece. I will wear this though, without a second thought. This is sweet but not juvenile, I actually think that this smells quite warm and classy.
The bottle is a bit tacky. I like everything simple, clean lines. This has major bling, a huge pink bow and crystal top. I have to say I like it, I might have a hidden kitschy side 🙂
    EDITED TO ADD
Scent wise this is probably one of my all time fave sweet scents. I’ve been trying to wear this on and off quite frequently since I got it. I say trying, because it only last about an hour on me. 5 minutes after spraying, I have to glue my nose to my wrist to be able to smell it. Parfum concentration is supposed to be close to the skin and long lasting, compared to EdP. There’s a difference between close to the skin, little sillage and NO sillage at all.
I don’t care if people around me can’t smell my perfume, I actually prefer that. What’s the point in buying/ wearing a parfum you can’t smell yourself either?
I’m so disappointed, because smell wise this was way better than I expected. Quality wise this is one poor excuse of a “parfum”.

This is a pure perfume but it does still have the slight alcohol smell to it, but no where near like regular EDT or EDP. Like the original Viva La Juicy, yes at first it is very sweet; HOWEVER, once it has a chance to warm on your skin it goes from a sickingly sweet vanilla to warm caramels mixed with a nice balance of what smells like jasmine and white flowers. It is a stronger version than the original and the florals are slightly more prominent. The lasting power on this is also MUCH LONGER than the original (almost 12 hours on me). I can go to bed and wake up the next morning and still smell it. My husband smelled it about 30 minutes after I first put it on and LOVED it! He says he believes it is the sexiest perfume I have and I have ALOT! Viva La Juicy is amazing and I get tons of compliment from men when ever I wear it. More so than when I wear any other fragrance.

I tried this today. It does smell the exact same as the original, but you can definitely tell the concentration is increased. The lasting power is amped up. I’ve been wearing it now for three hours and it’s still going really strong, whereas the EDP would be starting to fade by now. I like it a lot, but since I have a bottle of the EDP, I just don’t think I need both. But if you are wanting this scent and don’t own it yet, you gotta get the pure parfum, especially at this price!

It is Pure Perfume. Not EDT or EDP.

I smelled this today at work and it smells like the original Viva, but I’m not really sure if it’s just an intensified version of the original or the same.

I’m glad the vendor never relayed the message it’s a new fragrance and didn’t give us a tester. We’ve been selling it as a limited edition bottle… :/
