Description

Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is a new version of the Viva La Juicy fragrance from 2008 by Juicy Couture, coming out in August 2014. The fragrance is created by Honorine Blanc as a glamorous and decadent version of the original.

This “golden” composition begins with luscious wild berries that form an introduction to the heart of Sambac jasmine and honeysuckle. The base features warm aromas of sandalwood, golden amber, caramel and vanilla elixir.

The classic design of the bottle and packaging takes golden color, decorated with pink letters and logos. The fragrance is available as 30, 50 and 100 ml Eau de Parfum.

I received this perfume 4 days ago. It really reminds me of a body mist made a local brand here in my country. Could it possible been duped? Yes, i think so.
ANyway, the smell is ok. Not Wow-ok but just ok. It smells and looks luxurious even though it doesn’t last well on my skin. When i sprayed it on my shirt, it lasted until the day after i sprayed it. My 3-yr. old daughter loves it though.

So far, Gold is my favorite Juicy Couture fragrance. The caramel definitely takes the stage. Imo, caramel is a tricky note and if not blended well, you wind up with a sticky, burnt, rubbery mess. Although the caramel in Gold is dominant, it is blended very well with the other notes. I do not detect any jasmine. It’s sweet, but not overly so. In comparison to the original, which I found smelled a bit generic, this one is warmer, creamier, and more luxurious.

I have it, but i dont use it much..
I like the opening, the caramel sweetynes, but its something in the depth of the perfume that gives me a sharp hedeache.. like a needle.. i find the same note in my perfume la praire midnight rain.. a needle like hedeache in that one single note..
    Maybee its sandalwood?

I’ve been wanting to buy this and amazingly I found a rollerball that I had purchased long ago that I never used and totally forgot about. Wow am I impressed! This really is a sexy decadent scent! I get mostly the caramel & vanilla and amber with a tiny bit of the berries & florals. Definitely a fabulous scent for the cold weather. Smells delicious!

Oh sweet caramel. I bought Gold Couture as a birthday present to myself some years back. I really enjoyed it and wore it on nights out, dates and vacation trips. In the end, my taste changed and it didn’t speak to me like it once did.

I ABSOLUTELY love this perfume, the caramel, vainilla, everything about this makes me feel so sexy and like a vixen. I wish it was my signature, however, it just doesn’t stay on my skin. It stays for 1 hour or even less, but when I get home, I just can’t smell it, not even in my clothes. It makes me sad that a perfume that I love so much has such a bad longevity.

I bought this from Youtube reviews voting this one of the sexiest perfumes. It would be sexy if it would last more than 1 hours. You have to smell it to be sexy. I love the scent but performance is terrible. I believe that’s probably due to the reformation of it. I wouldn’t buy again.

    Juicy Gold Couture
With wonderful accords of caramel, vanilla, white floral, sweets, Woods, and fruits.
The notes are wild berries, Sambac jasmine, honeysuckle, sandalwood, golden amber, caramel and vanilla elixir.
It’s a modern sweet concoction that seems to be very popular to the masses right now. I find it to be sweet, and floral fruity. When wearing this, it is very much in the same vibe as Mon Guerlain and Mon Exclusif. Could be related in my opinion. Not very different from one another. If you want to make it easier on your pocket book than one of the latter, then this would be a good substitute.
On me This is a sweet treat with lots of caramel and a very warm lingering vanilla, mixed with dark berries, and a light white floral bouquet softened with sandalwood. I also get a nice spice in the mix that helps kick it up another notch. It’s a warm, cozy, sensual scent. Its sure to satisfy any or most gourmand lovers. Very appropriate for a cool autumn or winter day. It’s projection is moderate and as for longevity it’s a bit below average. It also depends on the weather. It seems to perform better when its cold. It’s very good reviews and a 4.5 out of 5 stars, I think it’s worth the small fraction price to obtain this fragrance. A nice addition for any gourmand fan. Xox

    Another love.
Smells of caramel, vanilla and sweet berries. Though the prominent scent is caramel, it’s not as strong as the caramel in Jessica Simpson’s Fancy. And yes, the two fragrances do smell a like.
Juicy Couture Gold dries down to a very soft caramel on me, as if it’s saying “I know I just got here, but I’ve got to go now. See you on next spray”.
Where as Jessica Simpson’s caramel says, “I’m not going any where so you might as well enjoy me”. After 6 hours the fun is over, then it’ll exit the door.
I also think Katy Perry’s Meow smells a lot like JC Gold.
All three fragrances are beautiful. It’s just a matter of pick and choose. I’ll use JC Gold and KP Meow for office wear and JS Fancy for dates with my hubby.
Presentation? Juicy couture always beats almost every other perfume company when it comes to the design of their bottles. Love displaying them on my vanity.
Yes another love, this one is definitely a keeper.

Run-of-the-mill caramelized sugar. Very boring toffee-shapooish scent. Harmless and definitely overrated.

  11. :

Nothing special going on here, just layers of vanilla. Smells identical to the popular Avon Luck, which I had simultaneously, hence was able to compare. The bottle design is the best thing about it – quite spectacular.

This smells like bubblegum on me, in the absolute best way possible! I adore it, one of my favorite sweet fragrances!

  13. :

At first this one is not in my interest at all because I’m not fan of sweet perfume. but one day I forgot to wear perfume and just try this from counter brand and I’m totally unexpected love it! it’s not that sweet or it’s not fruity sweet that make you smell childish and my boyfriend like it too.

  14. :

It was love at first whiff. This is caramel on me through & through. Easily my favorite perfume. Good sillage but sad about the longevity. When I spray this on my wrist, it’s gone in about an hour. It lasts a little bit longer on my neck & clothes though. I reaaaally love the scent but I’ve yet to find something as sweet that lasts longer.

  15. :

    4 out of 5

Good sillage and caramel/honey notes. I suppose this is a less fruity / more honey version of the original VLJ. It’s a fruity floral gourmand that I actually like. It doesn’t give me a headache like true gourmands.

  16. :

    5 out of 5

Too masculine for me. I don’t know maybe my skin chemistry. I prefer the original VLJ which is more prettier than this.

  17. :

    4 out of 5

I’m part of the minority that enjoys the original VLJ more than Gold Coutoure. This was hyped as so sexy and edible, so it was a blind buy for me. The caramel was a little too pronounced and it didn’t make sense to wear anywhere else but in situations where you’re trying to come off as sultry. I didn’t like the lack of versatility but, again, my opinion on this one is not popular.

  18. :

    3 out of 5

Lovely. I have finally found my caramel. After about 40 minutes this reminds me of Britney Spears Curious in Control, only stronger with more emphasis on the Caramel. If you love Curious in Control, I suspect that you will love this!
It’s not really that similar when you first spray it, but at the 40 minute mark, there is definitely a similarity to Curious in Control. Love!

  19. :

    5 out of 5

When it comes to VLJ fragrances, there is a note in their DNA that I can’t quite put my finger on but really gives me a headache. I adore the juice in this frag, it’s exactly the kind of scent I gravitate towards, but if I smell my wrist too closely I can pick up the note that hurts my forehead. Sounds so weird but it really actually hurts my sinuses! With that aside I like this scent enough, its pretty generic and nothing entirely special. The sillage is poor, it sits very close to the skin, and the complexity of the juice completely vanishes within an hour. I wish it would be a tad bit sweeter with the caramel and amber notes. One funny thing I find about this frag is that if I allow the bottle to sit too long I have to shake it in order for the strength to perform? I find that odd, but maybe it’s something that happens. I am disappointed in the scent as an EDP though.
**EDIT: After wearing several times I can confirm that I don’t like this scent as much as I thought I did. Thankfully I bought it on Fragrancex.com and only paid a little over $53 for the tester because if I had shelled out the $100+ for the size I purchased I would have been extremely disappointed. This smells so good on clothing, but it does not last whatsoever on skin. It performs poorly and is frankly quite cheap smelling.

  20. :

Of course this was a love for me, I’m so predictable. Safest blind buy ever. After trouble with the delivery it is finally with me! What a lovely scent, I just want to bathe in it. There’s not much to it tho, it’s not a very complex scent but it’s not pretending to be either. If you like sweet scents and gourmands you will like this. Will most likely repurchase when I’m done with my 50 ml bottle. Not good sillage and lasting power tho but for me it is worth it.

Don’t get the hype about this one… At all. This doesn’t last long at all, 2 hours, max. It’s not strong, definitely a skin scent. To me this smells very chemical /synthetic , however, because it’s not strong it won’t cause headaches. This smells quite generic, just another sweet perfume, nothing special at all for the price, I’d only get this if it’s on sale. Don’t think this is “sexy” at all like some people are saying… This smells innocent and something I would wear daily when I was 15/16. I only use this when I want to smell kind of good / “decent” but not use my really strong and expensive perfumes. Definitely not a nighttime scent, day time. Would NOT wear this going clubbing because nobody would be able to smell it. Such a weak eau de perfume. Very disappointed.

  22. :

    4 out of 5

I don’t get any berries at all, just a straight up vanilla, caramel, sugary-sweet concoction… I expected this to project more, but the sillage is soft. It is sweet but not toothache-inducing. Prada Candy is stronger on the caramel note and it projects more. This is a quiet perfume and does ask you to lean closer. It lasts long on my clothes though.
Personally I like stronger perfumes that have a moderate sillage, something that wafts up every now and then when you move.. This one isn’t. I do understand why it is sexy, because my boyfriend complimented my scent when I wore this.

I am writing this review to remember the day…It’s not an actual review but I will try my best since I have a lot of time to desribe a perfume. Sorry, it’s not me but the industries or houses don’t make nice one anymore. Weak is the key word for the new releases, right?
First time I met the ONE I was wearing La nuit tresor Caresse from Lancome and it was nice. This time I wanted something gourmandise and rare. Viva la juicy never let me down and this edition is limited. If you ask me which one I prefer more, I would say the original, never mess with the original. Its’s a lesson. I was and I am in love with a perfect bast*ard 🙂 Now I know and I feel happy and ready to ask and live more in an intense way because life is short fragranticans. Wear your perfume but don’t forget to live your life too.
Gold couture is a gourmandise edition. It smells exactly like a sweet we do in Greece or even famous in Balkans. It smells like something you wanna chew or eat with nutella. Sometimes it definetelly smells like an aerozol with weak sillage but some others it’s a bomb of pleasure. A touch of berries, then caramel with a soft vanilla and an amberish/sandalwood effect that lasts forever. I mean it! Even after shower guys. It’s the seduction you can use in bedroom if it’s gonna be sweaty and trust me they will remember you forever. I am into buying an 100 ml bottle but we will see.
Smile, believe and try the best for yourself, that’s my lesson for today cause I had a really bad period, but I transformed pain into passion. When you want something, get it! No one is better than you!! xoxo

Amber + amber + amber + hint of zero sugar wild berries on me. It is sweet and warm, but not headache inducing sweet (usually gourmand fragrances make me nauseous). Gold is the perfect color to describe it. It is good but lacks that depth that usually high end perfumes have – the notes are somewhat synthetic and cheap to me, like drugstore mists. I bought it after all the Jeremy hype and did the same test to my male friends – none of them had the same reactions after this one like Jeremy and his friends did. It wouldn’t offend anyone but it’s not that perfect balanced smell I was hopping for. The lasting powder is also terrible, if only this lasted longer I think I would like it much more.

This is a very ‘meh’ perfume.Simplistic, unoriginal somewhat masculine perfumed water.
Caramel?really?this is the reason I wanted to try it on in the first place based based on the glorious reviews.Nope-I can barely smell a hint of caramel.Mainly some synthetic masculine notes and sth sweetish in the backstage.I even thought that perhaps I am anosmic to caramel, but I tried a simple caramel perfume (just a caramel note) and it smelled perfectly fine on me.
So no,dear Jeremy (I had to look his review after reading the comments here),I get why you like it,it is after all a pretty unisex cologne (yes,cologne-I don’t think it merits being called a perfume).I also get why you keep referring to your female audience as ‘girls’,only teenagers could wear this one and pull it off.
Finally, the bottle looks childish and cheap.Sorry Juicy couture-I really wanted to like you…

After seeing so many positive reviews for this and even watching the Fragrance Adonis, Jeremy Fragrance, say that this was the sexiest female fragrance; I set out on a mission to at least try it. What I will say is that to me this smells…just like Viva la juicy but a bit softer and not as intense and I think a bit more daytime friendly. Where to me, Viva la Juicy was more night time because of the intensity. That being said, I was disappointed that this was not unique in that it’s basically a milder Viva la Juicy and expected a bit more. Still, this does smell okay and might be enjoyed more by someone who wants a more tolerable version of the sometimes headache inducing Viva la juicy. However, this was not special to me and is not what I would deem as particularly sexy at all. In addition, this sits more closely to the skin in contrast to Viva la juicy- that grabs anyone’s attention.

I love love love this scent! It can be easily worn by any gal who likes gourmand, no matter the age. I repeat, NO MATTER the age.
If you love gourmand scents, you should give this one a try! Caramel is very intense in this perfume, which I 10000% appreciate. Before anything, I’d like to say I don’t regret the purchase AT ALL.
Now, the elaboration part. This is, in my opinion, a nighttime perfume. A very sexy, elegant, somewhat playful, but nonetheless, amazing perfume.
The scent itself would get an easy 10/10.
Now, the problem. The silage. The projection.
Normally, I’d expect those kind of heavy gourmand fragrances to have a heavy projection, too. That is what I seek for, at least. I mean, if someone gets really close to you, yeah sure they can smell it. But for me, personally, it is not enough. I want the silage to be, at least, someone sitting behind me on bus, to smell it.
So that being said, the projection would get 3.5/10. Approximately 4.
The lasting power in normal, about 5 hours. 6/10.
Overall, I definitely do not regret buying this beauty, but I am not sure if I would repurchase.
If you are someone who just enjoys smelling good to yourself, this one would work just fine as you yourself can smell this on you just fine. But for someone who enjoys somewhat heavy silage like me, it would be a tiny problem.
Nevertheless, I would recommend this beauty to anyone who loves gourmands as much as I do.
    BIG EDIT
    OMG GUYS
I used a scentless lotion on my neck before applying the perfume and it worked wonders! 3 guys came up to me and told me how amazing I smelt! At this rate I might increase the projection to 7/10 :))

Love the smell. Sweet but not overly sweet. First notes for me is more licorice like rootbeer and turn later become soft caramel and amber. Longevity and sillage are poor though.

    Hello all.
This is my first review here. As many of you have mentioned, I also bought this fragrance couse of Jeremy overreacting on this scent 🙂 I have to say, he is kinda right. It definitely IS very interesting perfume, sweet and deep on it’s own very delicious way BUT… I’m really sorry that I have to say, that the longevity of this beauty is… Is not. Perfume doesn’t last at all on my skin, maybe it is problem with my skin chemistry, becouse, i actually never had any enormly long lasting perfume but this one is especially weak, at least for me. It last maybe one hour. So for me, not a good choice. I will probably give it to someone else becouse of this problem, even though it last longer on clothes. Also I really don’t like the bottle it looks messy and cheap. It reminds me that annoying woman Janice from The Friends series 🙂
So to sum it up = good scent but bad longevity so it’s not worth it for me
    P. S. Sorry for my english, not my first language 🙂

I’m a guy and i think this so sexy on girls. it is not complex or masterpiece but It’s just sexy as hell. so sweet (not overly) and feminine. it’s even better than original juicy couture. this one and noir are my favorites from this house.
and btw if you don’t like it yourself your boyfriend will like it 😉

Light, sweet, and girly nice fragrance!
I’m not a fan of this fragrance, It hasn’t come to me very special but It’s good. It can be good summer fragrance for me.
I’ve heard about this smell from ”Jeremy’s Fragrances”.
He has been talking about it.

I love it.I am 51 years old and for the last couple of years I have really been liking gourmands.I went to Macys last week and deceided to smell the Juicys. One was too fruity, one too flat. Then I smelled this one.It reminded me of Fancy by Jessica Simpson but a little different. So I tried it on and had a twenty minute conversation with the girl at the counter. Then I smelled the dry down and said I will Purchase the big bottle. It stays on my clothes very well and dries down kind of sweet tobacco on my skin. The bottle is beautiful with the black lace bow.Very glad that I bought it.

I love this one more than I expected to.
I bought this along with the original Viva La Juicy off of kohl’s a week or two ago. Needless to say, a bit after I ordered them I panicked a little because I initially thought that this was the original Viva La Juicy perfume just in different packaging. Before the dup arrived, I sampled it at ULTA. I was relieved in knowing that it wasn’t the same scent. Gold Coutoure and Viva La Juicy do have very similar notes.
Gold Coutoure is basically Viva La Juicy without the praline, Gardania, and Mandarin orange. The vanilla and caramel have more of a presence this time around, which in my opinion actually helps differ it from the original Viva La Juicy. Do I think that Gold Couture and Viva La Juicy smell alike? No actually I don’t. I might be in the minority here but, I just can’t catch any similarities in the way they smell. It’s not harsh on the nose like OG Viva La Juicy is. Which is good.
I have only worn this to bed as means for a comforting smell. Two sprits is all you need, too. I was able to smell it even past the 2 hour mark which is incredible. Next morning, there were hints of it. So, I would say in my experience, the sillage and longevity have been good, I would say 8 or 9 hours at most is adequate. It’s really sweet but not sickingly so. Will I only wear this to bed? Nah. At least I don’t think so.

  37. :

I absolutely love this perfume. It is, in a word, edible. The opening notes are berries and caramel, very sweet and slightly fruity. The berry disappears quickly though giving you a caramel and strong vanilla dry down. The dry down does however have a slight amber touch to it making it more sexy sweet as opposed to sickly sweet (like prada candy).
Longevity (as with most sweet gourmand fragrances) is very poor. I get maybe an hour on my skin (a lot longer on my clothes though). The sillage is also moderate. The smell is so nice that I am willing to forgive the performance. What I love the most about this perfume is that it continues to smell sweet when it drys down while many perfumes will smart smelling kind of horrible after a few hours.

  38. :

    5 out of 5

It’s one of those fragrances that makes you smile while wearing it. Smells like a sophisticated, classy, sexy and seductive woman. Sweet, but not girly sweet. I could wear it no matter the weather/day-night. Decent longevity too.

  39. :

    Super sweet caramelish/vanilish perfume.
Just like it promises, thats you get. For me to much. Over done. But for gourmands lovers is a good one.

Very sweet. Very light. Peasant scent on skin. I bought it because several years ago I used the original juicy couture and wanted to go back in time with this fragrance. It is worth the money but I outgrew it and no longer enjoy as I did before. Very feminine, almost girly
Bought a bottle for my friend as well and must say I enjoy smelling it on her

  41. :

    3 out of 5

I loved it at first sniff – its a happy, very sweet and girly perfume. Its not especially sexy to me, even tough it is refered to as sexy so often. Its flirty and girly and definitely not too grown up and classy to me. My boyfriend loves it, he said it smelled like something to eat.
I am in my twenties and I see this fragrance on girls/women from 15 to 30.
It is sweet and fun and I would wear this anytime I want to feel confident and happy. Its like a sweet cocktail thats almost too sweet but still so delicious. It might be a bit overwhelming and strong for some. I think this cute bottle will stay in my collection.

  42. :

    3 out of 5

This is all caramel on me. I love the scent but honestly its smells the same as Fancy, which lasts all day, on me. At this price point I expect better than 4 hours longevity as well.

  43. :

    5 out of 5

Oh my gosh. The sweetest Juicy of them all. Sweeter than Glacé and Sucré. At first, like others have said, it smells similar to the original VLJ. But then it starts to morph into this DELICIOUS caramel/vanilla/amber scent. The notes blend together so perfectly.
This is definitely not for the nose that loves floral, fresh or oriental. This is a sugar rush masterpiece and one of my favourites from Juicy. It’s all about the caramel, caramel, and more caramel.
The dry down after 30 mins – hour is really the speciality here. And beware – it will trigger your sweet tooth. In my opinion this is the best super sweet scent you can buy. Next would be Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande. But this has way better staying power. It also lasts way longer than some of the new Juicy Couture scents.
It will certainly become a classic.

  44. :

Finally! A version of Viva La Juicy that I enjoy!
I’ve always found that the original Viva La Juicy was headache-inducing because of how loud and bombastic it is. It is sickly sweet on my skin.
Viva La Juicy Gold Couture worried me when I first put it on because it smelled almost identical to the original Viva La Juicy to me. As the perfume dries down on my skin, though, the amber and the sandalwood come out to tone everything down. The result of that makes the perfume smell creamier and “smoother” (if that makes sense) rather than straight up simple syrup being smothered in your face (like the original Viva La Juicy). It’s a really nice scent. If you’ve been a fan of the original for your entire life, but are looking for something much more toned down, then Viva La Juicy Gold Couture is for you!
Overall, I wouldn’t call this perfume a favorite of mine, but it is nice. I know a lot of people have used the word “sexy” when describing it, but I personally don’t feel “sexy” when I wear it. I feel feminine and girly … Which is not a bad thing in the slightest. For me, this is a “girls night out” perfume rather than a “date night” perfume.

    mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm smells so nice!
Bought this on a blind buy after watching Jeremy’s YouTube channel (Just like a lot of women) and what he said was 100% correct.
Smells sweet, feminine, very sexy, and light. It smells intensely sweet at first but after a few minutes it nice and much lighter.
Caramel and vanilla are in the notes and my skin smelled so good i couldn’t stop sniffing for hours lol
And men really do like this stuff! My fiance is EXTREMELY picky when it comes to fragrances on women. He said this and “I am juicy” are his favorites.
It lasts about 4-6 hours on my skin. Which isn’t bad but it does linger on your clothes all day.
If your not into sweet and light scents then you probably won’t be a fan. But I will keep buying more and more and more of this perfume everytime i run out 😉

The perfume wearer will be a flirty young adult. I bought this because of Jeremy and its not bad! Is it mind-blowing? No. But its still nice for everyday wear, or maybe when you’re in the mood. Its more luscious than the original. This is when Viva la Juicy goes to work/ college.

@Mirei. Ebay is actually one of the worst places to buy perfumes – lots and lots of fakes. They can be sealed in boxes and look new and authentic, of course. You can go to some big department store and spray JC Gold there and then compare it to the one from Ebay. The authentic JC Gold Couture stays on clothes for days and days, even if not more than a faint caramel vanilla trace scent. A scarf that I sprayed it on and put away into a closet made the whole closet smell like caramel-berry-vanilla for over a week. On skin JC Gold doesn’t stay long (3-4 hours max.), but I guess that can depend on skin chemistry, too.

I bought this because of Jeremy’s review on youtube. Tried a few times but I don’t like it. It’s a nice scent but doesn’t fit me. The bottle is still 90% full – please PM me if interested in getting it – I live in Canada.

The longevity and sillage in this for me is atrocious. I purchased this new in a sealed box from ebay so I’m pretty sure it is authentic. I can only smell it for 20 minutes max after spraying and after that point I have to press my nose into my skin to smell even the faintest hint. I see a lot of people saying that the sillage and longevity is very good especially compared to viva la juicy but for me it is very weak. The first spray is very alcohol-y, and then I smell honeysuckle and berries. But the drydown lacks intensity so I barely smell any caramel or amber. I believe this is just a problem with my skin chemistry but even so I am disappointed because I was hoping for much more of the sweet sexy gourmand other people get. For me it is minimal. It lasts a weak 1.5-2hrs. I wish it worked better on my skin!

Caramel-y vanilla lovely. At first warm and bit heavy (as perfumes with ‘gold’ in name tend to be). At first there is some cold vibe which is somewhat similar to patchouli thou it is not listed. It’s something similar. Then perfume settles in more warmer and softer gourmand vanilla. To be honest it’s lovely, but nothing interesting or special. Could fit for any occasion and age. After some hour it reminds me easier and settled Mon Guerlain.

Loved the pretty gourmand opening, but the drydown was rather nasty and raunchy on me, which may be the sandalwood used in this scent, and some honeys can do that too, even though honey is not listed in the official notes.

So when I initially bought this perfume a week ago I panicked because it smelled nothing like the sweet scent I smelled in the store. It smelled more like a citrus fresh and I hate both. However, after a few sprays something happened. It literally changed into this warm sexy sweet fragrance that I can’t get enough of. The transition was slow as after each spray it kind of grew on me but all the hype is definitely worth it. Also if sprayed in the right places in a good amount this can actually last a good 6 hours which is decent. A 4.5 out of 5 for me

Bought a rollerball because of all the hype on youtube surrounding this perfume. This is a VERY strong perfume. I think it’s worst than Aqualina’s Pink sugar;and I own that perfume too. It can give you a headache and make you want to rub the perfume right off. However, if you apply just a little bit it’s very enjoyable. It’s super long lasting as well. I don’t agree with the projection being so loud, not a good clubbing scent. I am happy I got the rollerball, I won’t be repurchasing. There are classier/higher quality gourmands out there ( and cheaper). Hypnotic poison, Poison girl, Treosor la nuit, Valentino valentina pink, are way better than this one.

I was intrigued by Jeremy Fragrances unending adoration of this scent. So I tried it out at Sephora. It honestly isn’t that mind-blowing as he says it is. It smells nice and sweet at first, very much like any of the easily palatable bath and body works scents. Then it dries down into something slightly masculine, kind of like Aqua aftershave musk for men. It’s weird but all the Viva La Juicy have this masculine heart for some reason. Then it returns to a more vanilla-Ed version of the top notes. Overall, not bad, not mind blowing though and poor sillage and ok lasting power. If you can snag it cheap, it’s not a bad everyday fragrance for someone with a flirty personality.

@marinalyssa: Scentbird doesn’t have a “version” of this; they decant the authentic fragrance from the bottle into travel atomizers. They’re authorized decanters. Nothing to blame on them. Sometimes things just aren’t as nice as we remember in our memories. 🙂

I grew up wearing Viva La Juicy in middle school and loved the scent with my chemistry! Of course, the entire family of perfumes all share that same Juicy essence, so for my age range I don’t find it that wearable anymore. But after all the amazing reviews I saw on Youtube, I decided to try Viva La Juicy Gold via Scentbird. I don’t know if Scentbird’s version was watered down or what, but this smelled sooo mediocre! I was expecting it to be Viva La Juicy on steroids or a more refined version at least. It opened up with a light version of what I remember as Viva La Juicy and ended up drying down to an awful, empty smell on my skin. I really wanted to love this and for now I’ll blame it on Scentbird, but I’m still shocked at how overrated this fragrance is. I really hope they didn’t decrease the quality of Juicy in general.

Sooo delicious. A gourmand-lover’s dream come true. The caramel (and vanilla?) note satisfies the sweet tooth. It’s very nice. Not for the snobby “not a woman’s scent” people. It is “young” and tasty, and it lasts. Don’t use too much, and make sure to get a fresh bottle to avoid a synthetic drydown.

I’m gonna be honest here. The only reason why I bought this is because of the famous YouTube’er Jeremy. I so regret buying this. This perfume represents nothing of my taste. It gives me a headache whenever I smell it and it’s not a pleasant smell for me.

I love that I bought into the hype. On me, this is a yummy caramel treat, but it stays light and playful thanks to the soft vanilla-berry combination. My family can’t tolerate many perfumes, so as a habit, I’m very cautious about what I wear at work. I asked my extremely allergic coworker to vet this one, and he was
