This one was a blind buy. According to L’Occitane’s description, it is an “exuberant floral”, which was what I expected, being a “night flower” eau de cologne.
On my skin, the notes remain the same from the beginning until the end: there are flower and aquatic notes, very fresh and crisp, but soon follows a bitter, herbal and salty note, which reminds me of rosemary, that turns the fragrance into what looks like some kind of seasoning! At first I tohught I could blame it on skin chemistry, but I have sprayed it both on paper and fabric, and the result was just the same, either in hot or cold weather. The “salted rosemary” prevails, even when the fresh flowers are long, long gone.
I highly reccomend to try before you buy, because the notes are very misleading and this was a huge disapponintment for me.
Even though it is an eau de cologne, longevity and sillage are poor. The fragrance is completely gone in less than 1 hour. I had already bought 2 cologne fraiches from the same brand and they last the whole day on my skin.
