Oh, gosh, it’s not an alternative to Armaf, let alone Aventus… Ok, I’ll tell you what it smells like. It’s rancid butter + cheap pineapple/ apple essence + ammonia. Yeah, it makes you sneeze all the time. No, I’m not kidding. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of it. Only for bottle collectors, the juice is crappy.

ok listen n listen up good.
People are talking a lot about pineapple and such, but honestly all i get is the Lemon that others have mentioned. If you want to know what this scent smells like, I can tell you. To mimic this scent, all one must do is pour a bowl of fruit loops and take out a lemon loop and smell it! Thats it! Goodnight!
Also, it does have a sweetness to it, not a tarty lemon, which lemon tend to be, but a nice sweet lemon scent. People put this under spring and fall which I agree with 100% but I dont see why it wouldnt be good for a nice breezy summer night.
Also, I just bought this blind and love it. I wore it on a 32 degree day in NY and I was getting whiffs of it a few hours later in these dry freezing temps. Hope that helps. Never Huff and Fluff, Just Facts Bro!

All I can say is .. this is a great value alternative, or even a companion to Creed Aventus. OK, it doesn’t smell exactly the same, but it has a very similar vibe & I can almost guarantee that if you like Aventus, you will enjoy this too.
If you add to the above that it also has a beautiful heavy high quality bottle too (which looks & feels very expensive) & is an absolute steal at the price, you can’t really go wrong !
As I said it’s NOT a dead-ringer for CA, it has it’s own lovely Pineapple / Patchouli / cedar vibe going on, performance is pretty good too.
A big thumbs up from me ! :o)

I can’t believe no one has made the comparison between this and Gucci by Gucci Sport. They smell so similar to me. I am actually a previous owner of that fragrance, but sold it because I am not a fan. Well, now I have it again! I’m going to hold onto Vision though because while I do not love the scent, it’s not bad either, and I do like the presentation more than Gucci’s. This could be considered a MUCH cheaper alternative to Gucci by Gucci Sport. I do not get much similarity to Aventus or Black XS as others have mentioned.

Beautiful sweet zesty pineapple and ambery fragrance ridiculously cheap for such a smashing fragrance and yes i agree defo a aventus vibe about it longevity and silage moderate but lasts all day as a skin scent. Loved this for years it’s the best out of the jaguar vision range. Highly recommended you can’t go wrong for the price it’s selling at.

for the price its a steal…
    -heavy and good quality bottle
    -beautiful pineapple and citrus notes
    -decent longevity
    -so darn cheap
it often confuses you with the aventus like opening, but its not close enough to call it an aventus clone.its so so good, ill personally add this to my collection , its great on its own, not bad jaguar, not bad at all.after the jaguar gold, this is my second favorite from their house
    7.5/10

All in all I’d say this is a very unique fragrance and I’d say there is an audience for this but for my own personal taste this just way too sweet !
This opens up with a fresh yet, juicy and sweet pineapple note and then once it dries down the citrus comes out mixing with the pineapple making this a very sweet, fruity smell that also mixes with this weird synthetic metallic note that just wasn’t for me. With that said, this isn’t a bad fragrance at all and it’s very different and not run of the mill which is great ! I do get wafts of this throughout the day which are very pleasant but also up close this smells almost pungent and very synthetic as well which makes me not exactly comfortable wearing this outside of testing.
I’m not exactly sure how people would perceive this scent as it has nice qualities but there’s also notes in this making this slightly off putting so I could see some people liking this but people who are sensitive to fragrances being really put off by this.
Performance on this is average as it lasts 4-6 hours with only a decent scent bubble coming off the skin for the whole life of the fragrance. It never really projects off the Ck in but it’s also more than a skin scent. Silage is decent !!!
Overall rating—5 out of 10 ! It gets points for uniqueness and I like the pineapple in this but that metallic sour note in this is really off putting. If this was blended with other notes this could have been really nice.
Sidenote: This does NOT smell like Aventus !!! Not even close
Also maybe it’s just me but EVERY jaguar fragrance I’ve smelled have a really off putting note that’s metallic and synthetic. 🙁

Years ago, I was searching for an uber fruity men’s fragrance. Had I found Jaguar Vision back then, I don’t think I would have ever expanded my tastes in fragrances or my wardrobe.
This is a superb fruity men’s cologne.
It opens with a burst of syrupy, juicy pineapple. The red apple is there to offer even more fruity sweetness. I can’t praise the opening – it smells like a sweetened pineapple syrup.
After about an hour, the fragrance drydowns to a creamy scent that lasts. It definitely has the DNA of PR Black XS just without the signature sour, loud strawberry accord and the spicy, prickly patchouli.
In fact, I would not doubt if Jaguar Vision inspired the house of Paco Rabanne to create Black XS L’Exces – which is a super acidic sour pineapple flanker stomping on top of the Black XS DNA. Jaguar Vision is better in that the pineapple is better executed than L’Exces.
The bottle is so gorgeous with its hefty weight and looks opulent.

    It smells clean & crisp.
A nice morning clean scent to have, right after you’ve taken a shower…put this on.
Reapply after five hours and you’ll smell great all day.
Sillage is about a foot from you.
    3.4 Oz bottle for $14.00…

    Value: 9/10
    Sillage: 7/10
    Longevity: 7/10

    Versatility: Anytime and anywhere.

An amazing and really good value juice. A fruity, sweet, cedar and potent juice from Jaguar with bags of character. In fact, one the nicest cedar based frags out there. In a heavy, quality bottle. Lasts ages and is gorgeous.

“Jaguar Vision I” This is a great fragrance, modern smelling, lovely citrus opening and a musky woody dry down. It has something about it that I love! Great for the office or summer evenings. Lovely minimal design bottle and not expensive either. I’m not sure why people aren’t shouting on the rooftops about this one but maybe that’s a good thing its not over hyped like others.
Now I’m curious about II and III

No similarities with aventus, it has its own vibe of cardamom with pineapple. Good for summer.

here’s my review for the Jaguar Vision III. not the one that listed on this page. those 3 are totally different in terms of scent.
    i got the Vision III.
    here’s my thought :
for the price? its a STEAL like any others said.
it smells synthetic , but it SMELLS GOOD ! so why do we have to complain regarding this? Smoky pineapple-ish in the opening, wait for 15-20 mins, you get that apple notes followed by “something” seductive like erm.. i’ve no idea what notes is that, but it does smells good. erm its like.. something sweet yet spicy. whether it’s a cardamom or the amber. but it’s just make me keep sniffing my wrists during that period of time. after that “period”, it dries down into something masculine – warm – woody type of a fragrance, its just great. and comparison with Aventus?
since i havent smelled aventus yet, so i cant give any comments for this.
but,if Aventus does smells like this, i’d be glad that i got those vibe for IDR255.000 (around $15-$18 converted. and yes it’s a full 3.4oz bottle)
and i do like it’s presentation, its like the HEAVIEST bottle that i own. solid black transparent looking glass.
    well done Jaguar !
    Scores :
    – Scent : 8 out of 10 (smoky pineapple, slightly sweet on the opening, that turns into something masculine in the drydown)
    – Longevity : again, here’s the pros. it lasts for about 6 hours, which is great for the price. you really cant ask for more. 9 out of 10. it becomes skin scent after 3-4 hours
    – Projection : moderate.
    – Silage : nice trail for about 2-3 hours. 8.5 out of 10
    – Versatility : its pretty versatile. daytime, night time, casual. but i wont pick this for formal occasion or something “serious”. quite playful scent.
    Overall : Give it a try !

There is just something about this scent that I’ve fallen in love with! Be forewarned-if your not a fan of sweet frags, stay far away from this one. It’s a hyper sweet, candied fruit smell…and honestly, pretty feminine to my nose. Can’t think of a scent I own that is sweeter than this.(and I own/have owned most:)
I do get a very slight similarity to Black XS L’exces, but that Paco Rabanne creation had a nagging metallic note mixed in with the sweet pineapple smell that would never go away and make my stomach turn. Thankfully, Jaguar doesn’t have that. I can’t say Vision smells “natural”,(because it’s completely unnatural for any fruit to smell this SWEET!lol)but it does smell delicious and no aroma chemicals smashing you in the face.
On me, this fragrance seems to have pretty mellow projection….but the longevity is very good. Which is perfect IMO, because a scent like this you don’t really want overwhelming you or someone close to you. That could get old real quick. Instead I get slight, pleasant wafts throughout the day while wearing it. Extraordinary and unique cheapie that is among my favorites.:)

Actually I needed to buy jaguar classic black but it was a bit sweeter and I tried this vision, just because I found it in a nice bottle, initially a sharp fruits enter your nose and you say.. what’s this???
But just after few minutes Omg.. amazing.
And if you do smoking.. ahh it enhances the whole juice.
    Lovely

Opens with an almost interesting accord of something along the lines of pineapple and the listed patchouli, white cedar, and Brazilian rosewood. The fruity top note vanishes in short order and, in half an hour, you have nothing but Chandler Burr’s “scent of dryness”, i.e. Norlimbanol®, the Firmenich fragrance molecule. I’d call it a scrubber but – after two attempts – it’s not coming off.

This is a copy of Paco Rabanne – Black XS
Maybe not literally, but at about 90%. I think that is a very good replacement. Low price and quite good quality.

A fruity, fresh scent for those hot days
I blind purchased this scent based on reviews. All in all, not a bad scent for the price (usually ~$20-25).
The scent comes off as fresh and fruity from the gate, and dries down to the same. It is not a bad scent, just not terribly original.
It sorta has that new car feel. Not bad, just not great.
Longevity is average, at around 4-6 hours. Projection is about the same. It lingers well for the first 2 hours or so, and then dissipates to a raging skin scent.
All in all, BUY, TRY or PASS? TRY if you have the chance, otherwise you are only out around $20 on this one.
I like to wear it on my days off, when I don’t want to use my more expensive colognes, or when I have to run to the post office. It is just nice enough to project positively, but not out there enough to get noticed.
    Longevity: 5/10 (4-6 hours)
Projection: 6/10 (Projects for about 2 hours, at maybe 6-8 inches)
Smell: 6/10 (Fruity, fresh, clean…a good summer backup scent)
Versatility: 6/10 (Best for hot days/ seasons…would not wear well in cold months)

PLEASE FRAGRANTICA ADD VISION II AND III PAGES!
I think that the reviews below are mixed up. The 3 are quite different. Here the notes from Jaguar’s website for Vision II:
    – Top: Granny Smith apple, Watermelon and Coriander
    – Heart: Marine notes, White pepper and Geranium
    – Base: Ceder, Patchouli and Lorenox
    And Vision III:
    – Top: Bergamot, Lemon, Cardamom and Pineapple
    – Heart: Marine notes and Jasmine
    – Base: Sandalwood, Patchouli, Tonka Bean, Cedar wood, Vanilla and Musk

This is what I expect from a fragrance with fruit notes. But I have to say that the first blast that I get at the opening is something minty, most precisely Camphor, I don’t know from where that comes from.
Ok, but after a few seconds the whole symphony of fruits reveals itself, sweet pineapple, red apple and some citrus that are hidding behind this two, all mixed with musk and amber. Mid way before the drydown it turns more dry, still with some fruits and sweets lingering, but maybe because of the spices I start to get a “medicinal” scent, which is not too appealing to me. But even with that strange moment, I like and appreciate Jaguar Vision just for being (finally!) one of the few perfumes with real character and personality!
This is quite an interesting and out of the ordinary fragrance for men. The sillage is quite strong, so don’t go spraying like crazy.

WOW, what a pleasant and invigorating scent. For ages I haven’t been so wonderfully surprised with a fragrance than with this one, and so different. It is very sweet so I am not very sure about its masculinity, but who cares? The fruit in the top are so ripe and delicious that one second later decay would be certain. Pineapple and apple are made quite creamy by the cardamon. the citus note follow side by side as part of the scent as its frindges. The base is just that. although I find Vision very apealling I can’t make up my mind to when or how it is better worn. In my mind there is a “not after noon” sort of feeling, sort of inverted Cinderela. I am afraid it is just too playful and young for anyone above 20, perhaps? Nice scent exprience at a coke price.

Very good, indeed, Cassiano. That is precisely what we all should do here, but unfortunately… Thanks for the tips on Vision/Aventus. I wear fragrances on a daily basis mainly to work, don’t have any glamorous agenda, so I will not spend what nich scent requires you to do. But Jaguar Vision is quite accessible . Thanks, JM

I have to say, it’s a good sweet-pineapple based scent. You could sense a hint of citruses in the opening, but it’s almost about pineapple!
In the opening you can feel a hint of citruses, and sweet pineapple (in artificial way anyway) take the place, in this moment cardamom show your face too.
When it’s dry the cardamom begin to fade and the apple note appear, with the amber and tonka bean.
To me, this fragrance it’s creamy and soft. I don’t recomend it in hot days, it will be stifling.
This fragrance don’t is similar with Aventus. The Creed it’s more mature and smokier, more elegant. Jaguar it’s more for young people. Only a few notes are similar.

Jaguar became a great brand of male scents for me. First of all, I bought Jaguar for Men. Then, I met Prestige, which I gave as gifts to some people, always receiving good feedbacks about it. Moreover, I have always read good comments about the other colognes from Jaguar. So, I decided to take a risk with this one. And the motivation, of course, was the comparison people do between this one and Creed Aventus. Is it true??
Well, I’m gonna start talking about its amazing bottle. I adore male bottles with straight and heavy lines, like in Dior Homme, DKNY Men, Very Irrèsistible, etc. Vision is another one of these, which beautifies any collection, showing power and virility when contemplated.
The aroma is awesome. As soon as I applied it, I felt like a pineapple in syrup, something fruity and liqueur. After 15 minutes, this sensation turned into a dense smell, where the sweet smell start mixing with the cedar and apple. Two hours later, the smell remains the same but allowed the ambery base to be noticed keeping, however, its linearity. And this is Jaguar Vision: a scent with no variations, no great magic during its evolution, but with a delicious smell.
    What about that Aventus thing?
Well, I think that people are too practical when they give their opinions, but they forget that hundreds of other people will take their words into account in a future purchase. I see this all the time! That’s why I always try to show the real sensation of a cologne, with no hurry, no exaggeration. This is my contribution to the perfumery world.
This being said, I would say: I know Aventus and there is a similarity between them. BUT, it’s only a SIMILARITY! It is that moment when a nuance reminds you of other cologne, without being equal. For instance, Cuba Gold and Le Male: they are similar, but not equal. If you know them, you will get the differences.
To me, when I risk saying that some cologne is equal to another one, it’s because it has been throught the limit of being similar, being identical, like Cool Water and Quasar (from the brazilian brand O Boticário). So, when I read “Vision is equal Aventus, just cheaper”, I disagree. This must be posted for some lazy person, who had the help of other lazy people, and this became known like this.
Actually, Aventus has notes that Vision hasn’t, like bergamot, black currant, birch, rose and vanilla. I could create a new cologne with those notes! Yet, talking about similarities, I could also say that there are similarities between Vision and Black XS (after 2 hours).
To sum up, if you would like to know how Aventus smells, but you never had access to Creed’s colognes, then try to know Vision. You will get a wonderful notion of Aventus, without spend too much money. BUT, be aware that they are not equal and, in my opinion, if you have financial conditions, buy both, because one can’t replace the other.

guys, once again, this has very little if nothing from Aventus….come on now, how you compare the two perfumes? only the first spraying for only 1-2 minutes reminds Aventus a bit…after that, this is nothing, nothing from Aventus…..i have them both and I’n not the only one who said this….It reminds Aventus only for those that they dont have Aventus.

  33. :

I agree with lee.wok only the opening scent will be similar to Aventus but wait for another 10-15 mins and its totally different. Even if you overspray still it will not last that long and will just give you a headache. Perfect for those who love sweet fragrances.

Since there are three separate, distinct, versions of Jaguar “Vision” (I, II, and III) why doesn’t fragrantica get with it, and list each one individually? The same goes for Rochas Man and Rochas Man “Intense”, yes it exists and is rumoured to be better than the original. After not being able to find much information on the differences between these disparate scents other than the notes of each and the perfumer (on Jaguar’s own site), I opted to go with Vision III, which is now on its the way to my door. I’m assuming, and hopefully I’m correct, that as “Vision III” is Jaguar’s newest offing, that the house has had some time and opportunity to “fine tune” and perfect this final iteration. Well, that, and only versions I & III are available with “pineapple” as a note! lol I will keep you posted. I hear murmurs that this “cheapie” is truly a wonderful fragrance and a well-kept secret. We’ll see… Sometimes you don’t need to fork over $300 or more for a great smelling fragrance. $20 bucks will do just fine… 🙂
EDIT: Received my bottle of Jaguar Vision III today, and it smells like yummy pineapple at first and then it smells… vile. Like pineapple-candy coated excrement. This is BY FAR the worst fragrance I’ve EVER purchased. I realise this is not the original Jaguar Vision, but after smelling this iteration, I have absolutely ZERO desire to try that one.

  41. :

    4 out of 5

Jaguar vision 2 supposedly better than the original vision and now vision 3 released with much darker bottle with 3 writing in red roman numeral. As the formula reinvented, the notes will definetely highlight. Jaguar is truly good for daily wear at fraction of the cost so it doesn’t matter.
For cologne that has nothing to compare with other “real” cosmetic brand ever existed, I appreciate its build quality of how it’s bottled, not a cheap tacky plastic or silicon etc, Jaguar cologne is collectible and well support other brand on guys wardrobe.

At first i was just attracted by the bottle very heavy and wellmade. I’m not very fond of Parfumes built up from a brand just to surf on marketing.
And finally the more i wear it the more i like it.
I was usually unconvinced by any peanaple note, and i m surprised to appreciate this sucessfully completed fragrance that concedes nothing to great famous house of parfumery.

I have both Vision and Aventus. Vision is sweeter and the pineapple is sharper. Aventus is a little darker and boring imo. Some might prefer the drydown in Aventus more, but it reminds me of a less synthetic Curve.
EDIT: 6/13/12 Aventus white still overrated, is the better choice hands down. I didn’t give it long enough.

  46. :

I bought this as a blind buy just to see if it really smells like Aventus….
The first sniff from the bottle, did not remind Aventus at all…What I got is cardamon with some apple…After the first application on the skin, the cardamon fades away and the perfume turns to be sweet fruity….It is indeed a delicious smell but I dont see this as a copy of Aventus. Aventus is more smoky/leathery. If you remove that, the perfumes seem to remind one another but are not the same. It is a quality fragrance, with a nice glass heavy bottled and very cheap indeed. I recommend it to all readers who like cardamon, sweet and fruity perfumes….I dont know about longevity/sillage yet but what I recognised, is a quality smell that could easily be from Creed or from any other high classed perfume company. Slightly, very slightly reminds black XS but this is more refined and pleasant. I wouldnt say that this reminds black XS if I havent seen here what others say. 15-20 minutes after the applaication, the perfumes goes into the sweeter direction and will see how it will be developed.
    Update:
After some more time, the patchouli starts to come up and the perfume moves towards the direction of black xs. it is not as strong as the XS is but indeed, it reminds it. I can’t stand black XS but this is ok. Nothing extraordinary, just a nice perfume, well made and cheap. It smells more expensive than it is really is. Aventus is still slightly there, the sweet pineapple and apple also…

Soned is right on all counts. You could literally smash someone’s brains in with this bottle. And the scent, it’s wonderful, for what it is. Amazing. It goes to show that we’ve all been ripped off with other designers as far as price goes. Don’t even get me started on the niche price side of things. I bought my 3.4 oz bottle of Vision at TJ Maxx for $20. Do yourself a favor and go find a bottle to purchase. It’s worth the blind-buy, especially if you like the accords.

  48. :

    4 out of 5

I have a difficult time with people saying this smells close to Aventus. It has an opening that resembles Aventus for about 5 seconds, then the cardamom shows up, and the lack of birch is incredibly noticeable. The cardamom takes this in a TOTALLY different direction, making it sickly sweet when mixed with pineapple and the grapefruit. For $20 what do you expect? If you are new to fragrances, this might be passable, but for you Aventus lovers, do not even think of looking this direction…I promise you, you will be VERY disappointed! Throw in the amber and tonka bean and this stuff stays sweet without the wonderful base that makes Aventus the gorgeous chypre that it is. On its own, this might be passable if you are looking for a generic almost inoffensive fragrance (there is something slightly off putting about this mixture). If you don’t want to spend $140 on a fragrance, I can’t blame you, but this does not approach the quality that is Aventus.
No birch and oakmoss, two of the best qualities of Aventus.
UPDATE: After testing this for a couple of days, I am sorry to report that this fragrance is a no go. The synthetic pine mixed with grapefruit, pineapple and cardamom goes in an intolerable direction. I am not a hater of designer, and I would have loved a cheaper alternative to Aventus, but this juice is sadly a scrubber, and I don’t say that about too many. The synthetic quality just gets too overwhelming and irritating over time. Try at your own risk. Now the Mont Blanc Legend that people are also saying smells like Aventus, doesn’t, but it is a nice juice. I actually like the Mont Blanc Legend.

Very similar to BlackXS from Paco Rabanne! Just the fruity Note is not so intense and strawberry-like but the milky-sweet and woody-ambery notes in the base are very similar.

Nice choice if you not want pay 300 box in a Aventus by creed, this is the same fragrance, really, too close, but with quality also.

When you spray this on you get 2 distinct smells.
    Sweet pineapple and Pine.
    It is that simple…
You smell both at the same time.
It is pleasant, doesn’t seem to last very long though.

    Now, how could this has happened???. A “cheap” fragrance maker (Jaguar), and a young pupil of Michel Almairac (Amandine Marie) got together to give us the following;
1- One of the best and high quality designed bottles ever, anywhere.
2- One of the most elegant, sensual, and long lasting, fruit/sweet/woody ever.
3- One of the best, if not the best, price vs. fragrance quality ratio ever! ($19.95 for a 3.4oz of this!!!!!)
Now, this is a wake up call!. Either Jaguar is giving these away (those Socialist English!, LOL), or almost everyone else is stealing from us…….I’ll go with the second one.

Oh no! The pineapple is screaming at me! It is a bit too sharp at first, and it kills the cardamom, which is one of my favorite notes. Once I manage to get pass the pineapple, it mellows down to this fruity apple’ish smell and makes the scent more likable. The rest is pretty similar to Ed Hardy Born Wild or Creed Aventus (without chypre part) or a bit of both. It’s oriental/gourmand sweet, slightly woody, slightly fruity rich, and warm. The scent gets better over time, but this strong pineapple just won’t go away completely. I find it a bit too heavy and sweet for a really hot day, but I can get by if I don’t spray too much. I think Jaguar Vision is a pretty nice and modern scent, and it’s the best one to date. Plus, the bottle is amazing; solid construction and quality. I got mine at a really good price, so there is no complaint. Thumbs up for Jaguar.
