Metaffevy – :
Despite the name, this is a predominately citrus fragrance, which mandarin and bergamot being the most dominant notes.
It opens as a summery cologne type scent. It reminds me of an Atelier Cologne sort of fragrance. I don’t notice the melon, it’s all orangey.
After about an hour, there’s a nice jasmine and a slight hint of the violet leaves, but they’re very shy and subtle considering the name would suggest they’d be the stars of the show.
The whole composition warms up a bit in the drydown, thanks to the sandalwood.
Mostly it’s a perfectly nice, citrussy, summery sort of a scent. But not really interesting or original enough to tempt me into buying a full bottle. I was hoping for more violet and jasmine, a lot more.
The sillage is moderate and I got about 5-6 hours longevity.
Because this house makes pure perfumes that are supposed to be strong in both sillage and longevity, a full bottle is small. IN this particular scent, a full bottle is 10ml – for about the same price as a 50ml bottle of eau de parfum. I don’t feel the sillage and longevity are good enough for such a small amount, so it doesn’t seem like a great deal to me personally.
