Description
A unique, limited collection launched by the house of Demeter Fragrance was presented in May 2009 as a handmade line created of 100% natural essential oils and natural ingredients. Demeter Fragrance invites us to experience complexity, dept and opulence of their five perfumes from the Vintage Naturals 2009 collection.
We can compare the collection with the finest wine, which lures us with natural aromas of fruit and spices. As wine improves with years, Demeter vintage fragrances change their aromas, colours and nuances from year to year and become even better. What is especially interesting for five fragrances of the collection is that each fragrance will be different every year, just like vintage wine.
Each fragrance from the Vintage collection is limited and produced in 25000 pieces and is built around the main ingredient – flower it was named after. Geranium, Lavender, Mimosa, Patchouli and Rosebush take us for a wonderful olfactive journey which glorifies nature!
Patchouli offers an intoxicating composition – orange oil and cedar in top notes, while nutmeg seduces us in a heart. A base incorporates cedar, patchouli and vetiver.
All five fragrances of the collection are available as 50 ml (1.7 oz) EDP spray and 15 ml (0.5 oz) EDP splash. For all fans and curious buyers, there is a collection of all five fragrances as a mini set (15ml edp splash each).

I can’t find anything to say that sherapop hasn’t said perfectly already. This is a nice, dry rendition of patchouli and if used sparingly (that’s important!) it’s a wonderful smell. Blend with a little Sandalwood for even more exotica.

1 word for this. dirt! i never wear straight patchouli, never could. my nose dosen’t care for it at all, it always comes across to me as dry dirt or wet dog. good for those who like it. you won’t be disappointed.

Sherapop, you can still buy it on FragranceX. And about the fragrance, I like this one very much because it is not as strong as the old lttle bottles patchouli oil. I only would like that it lasts longer.

Speaking of patchouli, Demeter VINTAGE NATURALS 2009 PATCHOULI presents this note in a pleasing composition featuring nutmeg. Both patchouli and nutmeg tend to be strong and can easily overwhelm a perfume, but here they play off one another quite nicely.
I had been expecting more of a run-of-the-mill hippie patchouli oil rendition, this being a Demeter launch, but I am pleasantly surprised to have been wrong. Although I do not smell much citrus here, the nutmeg and the cedar temper the patchouli extremely well, rendering this creation quite appealing to my nose. Neither excessively dark nor dirty, PATCHOULI would even be appropriate for public settings, what certainly cannot be said for every patchouli perfume!
PATCHOULI is a fine woody oriental unisex fragrance (not really a chypre, and definitely not for women only…), and I hope that bottles are still available, as I’d love to have one!
