Description
The limited edition version of the fragrance Very Irresistible Givenchy for spring and summer 2013 is Very Irresistible Givenchy Edition Croisiere. Very Irresistible Givenchy Edition Croisiere conjures up the atmosphere of the Mediterranean, the blue ocean on a sunny summer day with a fresh scent and a light blue bottle.
The smell of marine idyll opens with sea salt accord, Italian bergamot and magnolia. The heart includes distinctive bouquet of flowers of the line; there are rose, pink peony and gardenia. Woody – aquatic base of driftwood and musk is enriched by the signature of this edition – the scent of frangipani.
It is available as 75 ml Eau de Toilette.

This perfume is my first of the Givenchy Irresistible Range, I bought it online because of the Salt note and it is noticeable but I must say I already have a few salt note bearing perfumes and my feeling on this is whoa! It’s so dry!
But it’s wonderful and unique, the dryness is so apparent but it’s also very floral! I’m not normally a floral scent person but the dryness of the scent is such a game changer in how you perceive floral type scents, it makes me think of hot sand but also of lying on hot concrete by the pool, that smell as chlorine dries out of your bikini mixed with floral shampoo.
I am ordering a new bottle. Absolute love!
Bottle 7/10
Scent 9 / 10 wish it was perfume

This does not strike as an exclusively summer scent. It works in rain and wind just as good as it does in the sun.
The scent has that very well know Very Irresistible facet, although sometimes it manages to smell a tad different. To me it has an impression of warm, soft, clean cotton.
I like the dryness and semi-aromatic feel in this fragrance. It’s wearable, elegant and unpretentious. Decent lasting power and projection.

Well, i don´t know how they have managed to achieve it, but this perfume is the driest of all the “Very irresisitible” range i have tried by far. It indeed smells of salt, but not like you would put your nose into a pile of salt, but just like you´re on the beach of a salty seaside. You smell it in the air around you, a delicate aroma of salt, but it is not in any way repulsive or bad smelling of too much salt. It is also very dry at the same time so it gives you a perfect impression of hot summer day on the beach.
I don´t smell any frangipani in here, no magnolia, just a faintest gardenia accord and a lot of musk and peony. All the time i was wearing this fragrance on my skin i kept thinking that this is a very stange fragrance. Absolutely not feminine, even quite masculine, dry, but not a green-dry, feels like a desert without the sand. And all the time the salty accord is delicately surrounding you. I am not sure if i would like to smell like that or wear it, and can hardly think of a proper occasion to wear this fragrance, if only somewhere on a trip in North Africa?
Low sillage and below average lasting power. I don´t think i will keep this one probably. Not because it is bad (actually, to me, this is one of the best “VI” versions out there), but because it is too strange for me.

This is a very easy to wear, laidback but still sofisticated fragrance. I mostly get the white florals, the saltiness and woodiness are there too. I can see it working in warm and cool weather alike, because it is airy and light, but it also has some warmth to it. Overall a very comforting scent. I think this the white floral version of a skin scent.

This is mostly a sea water and powdered peony scent. It’s wearable and innoffensive. If you want a summer scent that’s not too aquatic, fresh, citric or beachy this is one to try. I don’t smell a lot of rose or wood. It feels comparable to Romance but with the spice replaced by salt.

And I smell hard clay. At the beginning of lightly with salt water, then with sweet gardenia. Here’s something clay-sand, a little wash, wet chalk, and it attracted me

I tried it and loved it. Then I got home and the drydown was powdery which is not what I expected. I went back today and tested it again and I love it. That scent of sea salt is what got me hooked….I’m a tropical girl and with the warmer weather I’m longing for smell of the sea. Being nowhere near the ocean, this will transport me to memories of warm days at the beach….

Well here is a lovely Very Irresistible flanker, like vacation in a bottle, it is a soft powdery floral, fresh like a veil, it is reminiscent of the breeze near the beach, it is different, I detect the floral notes, the sea salt also, mostly the gardenia which is lovely ,the driftwood underneath, the scent is feminine, delicate. With an aura of purity, of prettiness also, this is only available this spring so I am pleased I decided to buy it.
I like it wayyy better than LL Coral Flower that has a big synthetic note in it.
This is nicer.

I’m not quite sure it’s good for summer. I find it very “warm”, more suitable for fall or even winter. Probably this impression appears in dry climate and it will be totally different near the sea.
Anyway it suits for night much more and lasts very long, leaving with strong musky and rosy notes.
Not bad, I would like to have it in my collection.

I tried it on the go at the airport duty free; it’s actually lovely. I only tested it on paper so I can’t be sure how this will fare on my skin, I need to try it again before making up my mind. The first blast is fresh with bergamot, then I clearly get the gardenia, not so much the rose. The drydown is much more fruity smelling and the frangipani is the lasting note. On the drydown the signature smell of Very Irresistible is clearly recognizable. I think this Cruise edition would be delectable in hot summer nights!…

Nothing new!!! Perfect for summer, but if you had already tried Coral Flower by Lolita Lempicka, you can say : It’s almost the same
