try Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Herba Fresca if you want a totally non synthetic bright lemon peel, spearmint fragrance…i cant find another one that compares to it..Totally fresh and not bitter or sour….the rest of these frags seem to pale compared to Guerlain’s.

I have the body lotion that matches up with this fragrance. I don’t think of this as a perfume. It’s something to layer your body lotion with. It does smell realistically of verbena. It’s green with something like a little white flower. It’s fresh and invigorating so I always always put this on after a shower. It feels a tad aquatic as well. I wear this when I go sailing and I’m out at sea. The ocean breeze really brings out the scent and wafts it up into the air. It’s also very unisex and have smelled verbena or mint on guy’s colognes before. However because it’s so fresh and sweet smelling on me I find it very feminine. The woodsy note at the end is also very detectable and very nice. I love this. L’Occitaine to me is just body lotion style perfume and I have their rose scents like Roses et Reines and Rose 4 Reines. Love their stuff.

Refreshing, but not harsh. It strikes the right balance between fresh and sweet. It really does quench your skin during summer, but unfortunately it does not last long. But we already know by now that L’Occitane is not the best at making fragrances last. It’s a fleeting moment, a great one nevertheless. I’d rather have a natural smell that is fleeting than a long-lasting chemical *choke* one.

The smell of this is amazing but longevity lets it down. To me it does not develop well as it seems in 2 hours it is time to reapply. It is well suited to nice hot summer days when you just want to smell nice.

It’s a cooling green woodsy fragrance. I think it’s quite balmy on my skin too. Like being in a forest in twilight movies – that mostly rainy scenes included. I like it.

This is wonderfull refreshing , Lemon, Grapfruit ,verbena and mint, mm.. not to maskulin at all just refreshing and cooling Slight touch of blondwoods . Not a very unik and different perfume , but very much a delight to sprits on when you nead somthing clean and refreshing, I can imagine this would be very nice on a hot Summerday when you just want to feal fresh and clean in the garden .I very happy about this fresh citrus , I can spray away not risking it to be to strong or anoying to others. Ohh and this last and last on my skin , I was affraid this would be one of thouse who just disapears in an hour or so , but that is not the case with this one . 5+ hours

@OTAmom But Verbena Sorbet is discontinued now, so it’s like a newer version of it.

How does this version compare with L’Occitane Sorbet Verbena, which also incorporates mint?

L’occitane has the verbena thing down pat. This one is verbena and mint and it’s perfect for summer. lasting power is surprisingly good for a fresh scent. 5-6 hours. I wish it wasn’t limited edition, because I’d buy a new bottle of this every summer. thumbs up

This is awesome for the extremely hot days or the days wear your planning to be outdoors and do not want to wear something heavy at all. It a great citrus scent, lots of lemon and a little grapefruit as it opens. After a few minutes the mint shows up. This is actually a little spicy on my skin for some odd reason, which I didn’t expect when I tested it. Eventually it calms down in a light citrus verbena blend and becomes slightly sweeter. It smells really clean and never turns sour on the skin. It does not have the best lasting power approximately 4 hours, but I usually just throw the bottle my purse and reapply it when needed. I don’t expect the greatest lasting power from citrus based fragrances. Verbena Mint is great for summer and a wonderful option for fans of citrus scents.

Agree with others- more feminine than unisex. For me, too sweet to be masculine or count as a fresh mint for summer.

Opens with a bright candied lemon, not harsh as the mint softens the citrus. As the lemon fades within the first half hour, the scent gets very green with leafy, lemony verbena and soft mint playing center stage. The mint itself remains light throughout the heart, never sharp.
There’s a rapid drop off in potency within an hour or two. By the time the light green & woody base comes around, it’s long been a skin scent and it’s virtually gone within a few hours.
Granted I wore this outside on a fairly hot day (around 30 C with humidity and four sprays: one to my chest/neck, neck/hairline and one to each forearm), so maybe it would have fared better either indoors or on a cooler day, but I still think longevity is its main shortcoming.
Otherwise a very natural smelling EDT and enjoyable as a daytime, casual summer pick-me-up scent. Definitely try it on your skin before you buy (I’d say generally suited more to women than men), but try now if interested as it is a limited edition for summer 2013.
    Overall: 5-6/10
