I agree, these are safe blind buys. They aren’t expensive and they are lovely and inoffensive. This one is a sweet violet made soft with vanilla. Very pretty and comforting, but as the others, little sillage or longevity. Not a problem at this price point; just reapply! I’m liking these a lot.

Love it, ordered this and the white musk from Les Senteurs…and layered together they are fabulous! Takes each to another level, lasts on your skin for at least 7 hours.

Just a thought……. If you purchased the whole line of Les Senteurs gourmandes perfumes, ( I think there’s about 8, so if you buy from eBay, you’d only pay $120 which is the average price per bottle of a chemist line (drug store as Americans say) perfume! Amd you’d have almost a litre of perfume! Wow

This whole range of perfumes in the vanilla line of Laurence Dumont (or same house of Les Senteurs Gourmandise) are GREAT VALUE FOR MONEY and safe blind buys.
At worst, and I doubt you’ll be disappointed, it won’t cost the earth.
I have the violet vanille and it’s fantastic.
Buying a third bottle from the line now, Tendre Madeline and the vanille chocolat! (Or vanille bourbon)
3 new perfumes for under $50 collectively! Who wouldn’t love that? (I usually pay $150 – $400 per bottle of top shelf brands.)
This is lovely although low in price.
Doesn’t smell cheap! I’m loving this fragrance!
Reminds me a lot of Insolence by Guerlain so I can 100% guarantee that if you like insolence and sweet perfumes, you’ll be pleased with your purchase.
And it’s just as lovely, minus the pretty bottle and large price tag.
All in all, I’m very pleased with my VV.

This is quite a lot like Kenzo Flower but just a tad sweeter.
I have Kenzo Flower but I think perhaps I might enjoy this more as it’s not as overpowering.
Great value for money!

If you love Violet your are going to love this perfume.
It is one big Violet bomb with Vanilla sweeteners and powdery fillers.
The fragrance stays true to its notes during the day and loses none of it staying power.
It was a 42C day here in Australia and this perfume did not miss a beat, I smell just as fresh and gorgeous this afternoon as when I first applied it this morning.
One of my all time favourite Violets.

Gigantic violet. If you don´t smell the violet there is something wrong with your nose… It is a very exaggerated version of Flower by Kenzo. Something chemical in there that doesn´t agree with my nose and makes me dislike this eau de parfum like others from this brand. Dissapointing blind buy.

I ordered this again because I thought it was so pretty the first time I had it a few years ago…What a huge disappointment, another one reformulated. I no longer smell the violet. All I smell is the vanilla, I do love vanilla but when I order a fragrance with vanilla and violet, I want to smell the violet too!

Mmmm, Vanille Violette is instantly likeable! Soft and sweet, but with a good projection. Fresh powdery violets and light vanilla blended seamlessly with the other notes to form a feminine scent that is floral and gourmand, but also has an interesting waxy/plasticky feel.
There is something here that while not juvenile, takes me right back to childhood. Dolls, makeup, candy, and carefree contentment. A very pretty and comforting fragrance!
It stays mostly linear with the violet dying down to a vanilla skin scent. A mood booster for me!

Powdery violets and vanilla. Great quality for the price. Vanille Violet is my favorite sleep scent. It’s so pretty and soothing and lulls me into sleep.
Briarey – :
This is my all time favourite perfume. Nothing compares. If you love violets like I do, this is the best take on it that I’ve ever experienced. So powdery and rich. I bought this at Sephora in 2008 and have had difficulty since then tracking it down :'(
Sonnychka – :
A creamy rich violet bathed in vanilla.
Very well blended.
Excellent longevity and silliage.
…and at an incredibly low price !!!
I do see the connection to Flower by Kenzo…but this one is SO much better !

Violet sugar cookies. Not overly complex, but sweet, yummy, fun and comforting. Enjoyable and not too expensive. Win.
Arnold–007 – :
This parfum made me feel nauseous. The vanilla scent in this seems nice but it’s overwhelmed by the strange violette scent.

Immediately upon smelling this I thought… nostalgic…but what? Baby powder! But done in a very grownup way. Opening is similar to Tokyo Milk’s Honey and the Moon except with more fresh violets and vanilla replaces the sticky honey. As it dries down it turns into talcum powder, still with violets in the forefront. Compared to other reviews it only yields slight sweetness that keeps apart from being as gourmand for me. Wearing this I imagine myself as a flapper dusting myself with french powder before a night on the town. Very simple but with a vintage feel. I’ll use this for spring days when I want to smell light and fresh but I’d rather turn to Honey and the Moon for the edible violets. I’ve also been enjoying Balenciaga Paris’s wet/earthy chypre take on the flora.
doker007 – :
A really nice violet scent..But violet should be listed in the perfume pyramid since this is a violet fragrance.
bercut88 – :
Really beautiful and what I was looking for in Angel Violet, but the latter was overly sweet. There are a lot of similarities to Kenzo Flower and LD’s Vanille Violette, especially on the dry down. I would say this is a really safe choice if you are looking for a softer, powdery floral.
jan4eg – :
VANILLE VIOLETTE is another very appealing fragrance from the Senteurs Gourmandes line in which vanilla appears but does not steal the show from the star, in this composition, violets.
I have tried a number of violet-rich frags in recent months, and many of them seemed more like plastic violets than fresh ones. VANILLE VIOLETTE, in contrast, does not have that plasticky quality at all. The violets here are noteworthy, not pushy, as I have sometimes found.
There is not a lot of development to this fragrance, but it is a pleasing synthesis: violet and rose petals sprinkled with a touch of vanilla sugar and sustained by benzoin. I’ve eaten rose petals before, and this composition makes me wonder whether violets might be edible too! In any case, I’m adding VANILLE VIOLETTE to my wish list.
