Evesustictats – :
I adore Vanille by Santa Fe Botanical Fragrances ; I may be addicted. Unlike other vanilla-oriented scents, this one doesn’t bring food and sweet desserts immediately to mind. It is soft, warm, mellow and a tiny bit spicy, and has a true perfume-like complexity. The authentic, aged Mysore sandalwood is a rarity even in perfumes that cost many many times more, and this balancing element of smooth, woody sweetness is what make Vanille so special. On my skin, the open of vanilla, cocoa and fresh currant notes give way to a longlasting sandalwood enhanced by the lighter elements. I have tried so many vanilla fragrances, and they often have a fake or plastic note that becomes unbearable. That is not true of SF’s Vanille, which mellows and develops beautifully.
This is a fragrance for you and those close to you, not for the whole room. But oh what an addictive treat for those nearby!
