Ok, it’s been FIVE years since my last review about this EDP and my tastes have changed quite a lot. To the extent that today I am wearing this scent (the aluminium bottle ensures wonderful shelf life) and I must admit that I actually like it. I’ve grown to embrace the lemony notes and the warmth of the vanilla underneath. The combination still smells somewhat strange for me, but today I ocasionally catch whiffs from it when I swing my arms and I think I smell like a lemon meringue pie, which is always a good thing to smell of. Nonetheless I still think that the lemon notes are too strong and a little bit artificial.
I wouldn’t buy again.

WHAT A HUGE, HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT! No wonder it’s been discontinued!
According to the description, the initial top notes should smell gorgeous, -I mean, lemon and Brazilian orange, wow! Instead I only got a nasty and artificial air-freshener-type stench of lemon which dissapeared in less than 5 minutes. Then, I could only feel a sickly sweet vanilla as a middle note. It really is too sweet, even for CSP standards.
This fragrance develops too fast, less than 10 minutes after spraying you already get its cloying base notes: vanilla and dark chocolate, the same type of note that made me hate Amour de Cacao. In my humble opinion, chocolate shouldn’t be there. It makes this fragrance dark and overly sweet, and it really clashes with the citrusy top notes. To top it all, its lasting power is very, very poor, it doesn’t even last 5 hours!
Strangely enough, I find this fragrance identical to Pink Sugar, which I really don’t like much. Unless you’re a really gourmand fan and don’t mind smelling like burnt candy, I don’t recommend this one.
Big thumbs down to CSP!!

If you like citrus, marvelous hibiscus, and lemon with a beautiful vanilla base, you will love CSPs Vanille Citrus. In my humble opinion, this is simply exquisite. Smells delicious!
Notes: Candied Lemon Peel, Brazilian Orange, Blackcurrant Syrup, Tahitian Vanilla, Pink Hibiscus, Sweet Rose Jam, Chocolate, Vanilla Cream, Sugared Condensed Milk.
