I stay away from warm sweet stuff so my only vanilla love was Flirt! Glamourazzi. This one is another one-of-a-kind vanilla gem that I sniffed directly from the bottle at TJMaxx. The only one from Vera that I liked, but did not buy as I hate tiny bottles and big gift sets of lotions (i despise perfume lotions, I go thru lotion like crazy and so I have my lotion staples that dont relate to actual perfume). I bought the big bottle rly cheap online. The reviews on here that mention play-doh really made me buy it cuz duh I love play-doh smell (usually almond gives that impression).
I smell more than salt and vanilla, something coconut. Yeap, it smells IDENTICAL to Fake Bake self tan THE MOMENT you apply it which is nice, but with a self tanning product you lose that scent and youre left with the common stinky self tan coffee odor. This is vanilla with a coconut vibe, not overly sweet or warm so appropriate for summer, but I love it in winter too. The bottle matches the content. I love the bottle, so elegant. I no longer self tan so I actually enjoy this without the stinkiness of the self tan.
On its own is great, I feel like I have just self tanned, only because I used to use the Fake Bake and loving its scent. I also paired it with Michel Germain Tattoo the lemon bars perfume of poor longevity and the outcome was amazing & super long lasting.

A lot of undue hate here from my perspective. This opens as an earthy vanilla bomb with a slightly salty and buttery finish. It dries down to a light musky vanilla and hangs on for around 6 hours.

This has a very unusual briny, seaweed-like note that puts me off. Cool, salty, and strange, I get that more than vanilla. Surprisingly interesting, but I don’t like that note.

With vanilla being what I gravitate towards most in fragrances, I scooped it up blindly from Marshall’s and am glad I chose the 1.7 oz bottle over the .5 oz and am contemplating getting a backup
It’s salty, it’s sweet, it’s almost buttery and greasy smelling…it’s strangely addicting and I just keep reaching for it! Lasts a good long time on skin too
As for the review that mentions the B&BW Boardwalk Vanilla hand soap – you nailed it! I’m finishing up my bottle right now 😀

On me this smells like a basic generic vanilla candle. I do agree with Zackkcaz that this could make a nice layering ‘fume. Soft to moderate sillage and soft to moderate longevity. I only detect the salt for only maybe about the first half hour..but all in all just basic a creamy vanilla scent on me. The bottle is kind of pretty, the embossed quilt pattern on the glass, reminiscent of Vera Bradley bags. All in all for I think it was $9.99 at TJMaxx, can’t complain…sometimes a nice basic creamy vanilla is..nice…

For the price it is enjoyable and could be a layering note. First it opens as a mostly synthetic harsher vanilla, on my skin it quickly warms up to a more natural pleasant vanilla. I get no salt 🙁 and this is a one note pony. Because of it short longevity I Will not buy again.

Straight up PlayDoh. The worst fragrance I’ve smelled in a long time.

This is a great salty vanilla along the lines of Olympea and Vanille Marine. I don’t know why it has so many dislikes! It’s definitely the best of the Vera Bradley fragrances. I like it because it smells (to me) like a Bath and Body Works scent that was only available in hand soap and candle form: Boardwalk Vanilla Cone. It has that ice cream vibe for sure.

Oh my, I didn’t know you could go so wrong with such a minimalistic set of notes!! I’m totally a gourmand and feminine fragrance person, and this sounded like it SHOULD have fit me perfectly, but no way!
The only way I can describe it is bitter, stale, and sour vanilla-ish. I don’t know if it’s just me but I also get a hint of old cigarette smoke (not like in a good sensual tobacco way either).
Not fresh at all like I was expecting from the inclusion of the sea salt note. No thanks, I’m glad I got it as a sample because I totally would’ve bought this blindly by the description alone.

It’s gross. I’ve been wearing it all day and it smells like that crust on a metal sugar jar at a greasy diner. Almost like a sweet vinegar. It’s bad.
It needs to be grounded….. like you need to layer it with a woody base like sandalwood or rosewood. Even a dark chocolate or maple. It smells crusty and unfinished.
This is definitely a layering scent.

When I received a sample of this in a beauty subscription box, I was wary of it as soon as I opened the vial. All I could smell was overwhelming vanilla, but I figured I would give it a chance. Once it was on my skin and had dried down a bit, all I could smell was Play-Doh. This would be perfect for a preschool teacher who wants all of her students to say she smells great or someone searching for a bit of childhood nostalgia, but I didn’t care for it. Maybe it’s just my body chemistry, but this is not something I would ever wear.
