This smells exactly like you would think these notes would smell. IF you like Creed Virgin Island Water, you will like this. Not a dupe, but that “family”. DUA’s Carribean Waters is their VIW dupe, and it’s JUST like it!!
This scent is very light, like a skin scent on me.. I love these people, they are so talented..

Right off the bat- I get a refreshing burst of lemon and creamy vanilla… It’s an inviting blast and the quality is very much present from the opening. I’ve read and heard much about the quantity & quality of perfume oil the founder infuses into his creations and this is very much evident from the very first blast that comes out…. That opening is so magical and so inviting that one ONLY wishes it would stay throughout …….. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that the scent drastically changes- it’s just that the initial blast and intoxicating opening fades ever so slightly….
The “Lemon Cream Pie”/”Lemon Gelato” vibe is very emblematic of what you’re getting in this juice… DUA put together a seductive and very smooth mix of lemon and vanilla that is so well crafted and its unique among many others who try to pull this off in that it does not end up smelling like cleaning fluid, a room fragrance or some synthetic mess! Instead, we are left something that any man can and should wear…. Like that blue suit in your wardrobe, something like this oughta be a staple in your collection… One small caveat: DO NOT SPRAY ANY OF THE DUA FRAGRANCES DIRECTLY ON YOUR CLOTHES IF YOU ARE CONCERNED ABOUT LEAVING A STAIN…. The concentration of perfume oil is so rich that IT WILL leave its mark…. This is my lemon ice cream cone on those warm sunny days……. [9/10] Overall! Too bad they vaulted it and it’s no longer available

Honestly not my favorite from this house. It’s a skin scent that lasts quite awhile, but I was expecting more of the lemon and bergamote and less of the vanilla base. If this were to be amped up with a touch more of a masculine edge I would have liked it. As it is this is better suited from my wife than myself.

Dua Fragrances Vanilla Lemon Gelato is, as expected, a strong burst of lemon and vanilla in creamy gourmand balance with one another. It’s bright and sweet, though the lemon is overall more dominant than vanilla. The notes listing shows vanilla extract, though I get a far lighter vanilla experience overall, not a heavy cake-like or extract-like or boozy experience. It creates a a lighter (in terms of character, not strength) gourmand experience.
Other listed notes include bergamot, orchid, tonka, and geranium, and while the bergamot (as part of the sharp citrus component) definitely makes sense, I don’t get much of either floral note, though they could certainly be in the background, smoothing things over between the contrasting vanilla and lemon.
Unsurprisingly ideal for warm weather wear, I’m not sure I’d wear this for a formal occasional but it could be all-day useful for a wedding since it maintained a lot of intensity through the first hour or two. It does eventually dry down to to expose the vanilla a little more than the lemon, as would often be the case.
Overall a lovely fragrance, great performer, and solid versatile option, especially for warmer weather.
