Superb vanilla and nuts shells.
I smell a nutty vanilla with nuts shells. It feels like a cream and a delicious skin butter. I don’t detect any cacao! Iys just vanilla that is mildly sweet.
Quite pleasing and captivating.

To me this somewhere between Xanath and Tuaca…it’s that boozy. The “bourbon” in the name couldn’t be more accurate, this is the clear, creamy vanilla of Réunion (formerly Île Bourbon). DSH Vanilla Bourbon is sweet, but smoky enough to make it call to mind a digestif, rather than a dessert. Vanilla Bourbon can be layered with just about anything to add smokiness and warmth. I would never have imagined a comparison to Berdoues Vanilla Cacao, even if I’d read the fragrance “notes” prior to trying Vanilla Bourbon. My nose simply doesn’t pick up an individual cacao note, but cacao may be the note that translates to “smoky” in my mind. I adore Vanilla Bourbon. It’s decadent, sexy and intoxicating. The edp lasting power is outstanding.

At $70 for 30 ml this is blasphemy in the highest regard! Check out Vanille Cacao by Berdoues which is basically the same scent but priced at around $25 for 100 ml!

I’m confused as to why I can barely smell anything from this and my skin usually amps vanilla notes. All the dsh frags i have are quite strong, enough to smell at least whereas I can’t smell anything with this unless my nose is squashed into my wrist!?! Weird will update and try again another time. Ps I have the oil concentration.

Beautiful cacao vanilla perfume, I have the edp. It’s cacao on me first then the smokey vanilla but really the notes blend so well I get both from start to end. It’s a soft perfume light silage only projecting for maybe two hours then a yummy skin scent that I can still smell in the morning. This is so delicious that even with the lack of projection I am still planning a back up bottle. I have to wear this at least once a day, it’s pure comfort. If you like vanilla & chocolate this is a must try, heaven!!

Wow and WOW!!!
I might have got a little tipsy with Bourbon Vanilla. This fragrance is intoxicatingly rich but never overbearing. I hit all my pulse points and “Oh my gosh”. I am enveloped with the most gorgeous vanilla imaginable. Quite exotic and no synthetic smell here. The cacao is in there but I definitely get the boozy vanilla. The cacao shows up in the dry down with slight hints of smokiness. The scent is beyond great on it’s own but I also would think this would be great for pairing. I have a few ideas in mind. Also, great for a guy. I received compliments from co-workers throughout the day. What an unexpected delight.
