I bought a travel spray of Vanilla Blend at an airport in Australia, originally thinking it was a lavender perfume, and because it is marketed as containing only natural essential oils.
And indeed, this is lavender, but something more…
The vanilla is beautiful and airy and the geranium adds a hint of slightly rosy floral freshness, nuanced with subtle green herb and spice.
Truly a beautiful rendition of vanilla and lavender. Simple, clean and comforting and blended to botanic perfection. Sadly though my bottle started leaking and I threw it out as the twist cap became too loose to use and I lost a lot of this marvelous scent.
The sillage is intimate and the longevity isn’t great, but for the price, it’s worth having it in your purse (packaging seems to have been updated since I bought mine so hopefully the leaking issues have been allayed), or to spray for some clean aromatherapeutic cuddles before bedtime. Urban Rituelle is not widely available outside of Australia, but if you do get a chance, do try the honest fragrances from this house’s botanical perfume line!
