Description
“Inspired by an intimate and experimental attitude towards scents, Valentino interprets the art of fragrance layering for today. Valentino Noir Absolu Musc Essence can be worn alone, but has been specially composed to explore layering combinations in the wider world of Valentino fragrances. Valentino Noir Absolu Essences are an opulent oriental vision in ebony studded glass bottles. Composed of rose absolute, orange blossom and powdery heliotrope in a white veil of aldehydes, it is finished with the warmth of tonka bean. Valentino Noir Absolu Musc Essence reveals powerful and woody facets when layered with intense fragrances and increases the longevity of the notes of the fragrances with which it is layered.”
Available as a 100 ml EDP.
Valentino Noir Absolu Musc Essence was launched in 2018. The nose behind this fragrance is Olivier Pescheux.

Well… whoever says that there is no musk here, let me highlight to you that it’s a quite loyal resemblance of natural kastroori musk from the famous Himalayan deer.

dark-x is right… there is no musc here. Only a combination of heliotrope and aldehydes (in my opinion)
alexmar76 – :
Uh. Tonka beans. And no musk despite being called “Musc”. I’m still gonna try it but after reviewing the notes my excitement dialed down rapidly.

AND FInally here you are!
As it is mentioned above this fragrance is wonderful for layering, it has no similarities with its sisters Valentino donna/ uomo noir absolu, nothing dark here, it is somehow soapy, I have no idea why is it called musc! There is no musk here, but lovely mix between powdery, roses, and Tonka Bean notes, I can smell also the orange blossom back there, it is a hit for me, love it!
I don’t find it unisex at all, it is more on the feminine side.
Nice aldehydic fragrance!
