Longevity on dry skin: rather weakish, might have to spray more on my skin
Sillage: medium, if I use a bit more but this is a nice one to spray several times
The opening is a nice fresh citrusy opening with a gorgeous touch of bergamot. I barely get any dried fruits but the light green tea note is there. I LOVE tea scents and also love rose scents…this was a kind of blind buy. If you love roses and (green) tea then give this a go! It’s very (re)freshing for summer but still special enough. I just wish those fresher (tea) scents would last long on my skin which is never the case 🙁
perfect for spring and summer but not soo much for the evening
super oldschool packaging…the juice in the bottle counts but must admit that the ugly packaging turned me off (looks like a grandma package)

Really comes into its own on those ultra humid hot days in the city, it’s a breath of fresh air. Holds well. A citrus rose with green tones, lingers and uplifts.

A very pleasant combination of fresh roses and green tea leaves. If you are looking for freshly cut roses in a garden mixed with tea plants, not too girly nor too sweet, Un Zeste de Rose is your choice.

This scent associates with adolescence, innocence and first love.. Very likeable, soft lovely perfume. I can imagine that some women may find it a very nice fragrance.
Since I like more unusual perfumes, I can see myself wearing it very occasionally.
Main notes in this scent are rose and lemon, and in the beginning lemon really stands out, which adds this special “zest” to the scent. Middle notes I liked a lot – it turns into a soft and tender rose scent with notes of jasmine, tea and just a little bit of amber (it’s not a very sweet scent! rather a fresh floral).
Overall it is serene/romantic scent with mediocre longevity and projection.
Perfect choice for summer romance 🙂

ZEST is lovely and light but ZIP!…it’s gone.

“Un Zeste de Rose” is a perfume best described with a word “mediocre”. It has a nice, pleasing scent kinda similar to many other “fresh rose” fragrances out there, it has a medium silage and it has a staying power of 5 hours.
Being “mediocre” is nothing too bad, I think “Un Zeste de Rose” will appeal to many – I like it, it’s a lovely, refreshing rose, very inoffensive and suitable for most occasions. A perfect safe blind buy for rose lovers. Unfortunately this lacks depth and uniqueness. I also feel that 5 hour longevity is a bit too little for the price. But that’s just me.
Try if you look for something easy-to-wear.

Very very likable! And actually very respectable as well, because it has great staying power and projection as well. I have put a little drop in the neck of my t-shirt and even though I’m wearing a big woolen sweater over it I still get a waft of this lovely juicy rose fragrance! It was a few hours ago I put it on there, so until now, I’m delightfully surprised 🙂 🙂 🙂

Un Zest de Rose is a beautiful natural smelling soft tea and rose perfume on me.I normally do not like tea notes in perfumes, but here it is mostly adherent to the top notes and softens quickly. There is also citrus here, of course, but it’s not sharp nor strong.I am actually mourning the older version which was very citrussy and tart and hence more refreshing than the current, much softer version, but the new version might be easier to wear or love.
Un Zest de Rose is so light that it is hard to overapply it.It’s a serene and quiet scent to me despite the citrus notes. I think it would be a “safe” purchase as a gift for a woman.

This is as sparkling as a sunfilled summer day after a night of rain. Heady and refreshing. It has fair sillage and longevity is 3-4 hours tops. However, I’ve found that if it is sprayed first, followed by Rosamor (Oscar de la Renta) plus a bit of tea rose attar, the results are a delicious scent with great sillage and amazing longevity. Compliments are copious with this combination.

Hmm, I wondered; will this simply be an opening burst of citrus, as in so many fragrances, followed by the rose-almost-soliflore that is Rosine’s signature? I was indeed pleasantly surprised when this fragrance lived up to it’s name; the citrus was clear, “zesty” and while it was predominent in the opening, as expected, it retained a clear presence throughout the development and dry-down, a rarity with any citrus note. The rose quickly joined in, and it was a dance of floral – citrus accords throughout. I was surprised and enchanted with this fragrance; it was different and interesting, with good longevity.

Wow, what a positive surprise and what a positive fragrance!
I have always been reluctant to try rose perfumes as I was afraid to get something too sweet or too heavy.
Am I glad, I tested (and meanwhile bought a big bottle of) this perfume. It is exactly the fragrance that surrounds you when you eat lemon sorbet while you are sitting in a garden next to a bush of lovely smelling tearoses.
It is the authentic smell of white roses, cool and sophisticated, and light, sparkling citrus notes. There is amber listed as a basenote, but I don’t get anything warm or powdery here. On my skin the white musk comes out after some time, accompanying the white roses. There’s the overall expression of freshness and coolness, and this doesn’t change for hours. The perfect perfume for the coming spring and the hot days of summer.
Sillage is average, longevity on my skin is about 5-7 hours, then the smell fades and at some point is just gone without leaving any “dirty”, stuffy or woody traces. Love it!!!

What can I say?
Enchanting, just enchantingly innocent

When your mission statement and goal in life has become to combine rose with every conceivable permutation of all other possible perfume notes, you’re going to have to face up to the world of citrus. UN ZEST DE ROSE does just that, with a big dose of yummy candied citrus rind powerful enough to make you forget that you’re still romping about one of the many rooms in Rosine’s resplendent rose mansion.
I have to confess that when I saw the name, I was a tad bit skeptical: rose citrus? Even the house of Fresh holds back on the citrus in its CANNABIS ROSE, and they have a penchant for citrus that certainly rivals and may even surpass Rosine’s obsession with rose. Happily, my skepticism was all for naught in this particular case: UN ZEST DE ROSE is really beautiful, when all is said and sniffed.
Although the citrus rind (primarily orange, to my nose) strikes me as somewhat candied, the bitterness tempers the sweetness, making this a very pleasant citrus-rose scent in which the rose plays, in the end, only a supporting role. This composition is straightforward and linear, but the components are natural and nice enough to land this unexpected creation on my wishlist. I would recommend UN ZEST DE ROSE to anyone who appreciates a good citrus fragrance, whether or not they usually do rose…

I read a review about this niche line of fragrances and went to their website to see if I could get samples. Voila! I recvd the 15 sample packet, and ordered the remaining six. I am in love with the all, and look forward to trying a new one or two each day! So far, out , my favorite is ‘Rose Kashmirie’-very soothing and cozy. the fragrance lingered all evening, a constant companion!

6/10 on my personal rating for the Rosines. It is very pleasant and fresh, a lemon/rose with a subtle, slightly amber and musk underbase. It didn’t really hold my interest but it is a lovely fragrance for everyday office wear. Not very longlasting, a couple of hours on me.
efforEnelve – :
It’s not citrusy, it’s very rosy. Other notes aren’t dominating, I hardly feel them.

Unexpectedly complex, as citrus is such an olfactory bully that it can easily reduce a frag. to just the loud bits of pith and peel. Une Zeste de Rose keeps the rose a steady constant – only giving the citrus enough room to brighten, but not overpower. Others on the list have used the word “youthful” or “young” to describe the effect. I must agree, this is not a drawing room rose, instead definitely a young beautiful outgoing rose. Brightness abounds, but without any loss of depth. The layers of tea, musk and (gray??) amber provide tiny, understated anchors, while letting the rose, citrus and just a hint of the gardenia soar. The final result is much like flying a neon colored kite using ornate Victorian scatter pins as tail weights. This frag makes me crave summer in a most ferocious way. I shall have to re-visit it in warmer weather.
Grillewenlano – :
So pretty! A bright green sparkling citrus opening gives way to a slightly sweet, faintly jammy, tender pink rose, muted by tea. Very pretty and delicate, I find this one addictive. Perfect for the New York City summer heat, it fades softly away like a windchime.
click74 – :
Thank you, Mandi, for introducing me to a delightful, polite & true zesty-rose scent.
Early morning…shower-fresh & innocent…pure white cotton night clothes…the heat of the day yet to come…sipping Earl Grey tea served with a slice of lemon…admiring crisp, dewy roses just unfurling from their tight buds, bruising their green leaves between your finger tips…hopeful, wishful, peaceful, awakening your senses.
The tea, bergamot & citrus combine beautifully with a light, crisp, slightly sour true rose to create a simple-yet-effective delicate scent. A slightly bitter green note develops & mingles with a subdued jasmine as the perfume settles. There is an aura of cleaniless from the musk & warmth from the lightest of amber bases – think cosy, white fluffy towels.
Zeste is an innocent-romantic scent with a fresh & zingy edge that I have really enjoyed sampling. Sadly its fragile beauty lasts a mere hour or two on my skin &, like a delicate flower, it blooms for the morning & fades in the heat of day.

Rose, Tea and Citrus notes – those are all i smell.
To my nose the Tea and Citrus notes are more dominant than the Rose.
A very refreshing and uplifting scent, makes me long for a glass of iced tea.

I instantly got tea and lemon at the opening, and then the rose appeared and formed fresh and lovely scent)) One of my favourite combinations! it’s easy likable and wearable: great for summer and spring! Unfortunately, not very long-lasting on me…

This must be one of the most simple fragrances from the Rosine line. It’s truely an innocent white rose, drizzled with some lemon juice an rind that gives it a cologne like quality. The drydown is clean and just a little bit soapy, but not as soapy as other Rosines. It’s actualy pleasant, bright, and still smelling natural.
The bottle is lovely.
The fun thing about this one, being so fresh and light, is that you can easily blend it, ( trial and error), with other things, to “copy” other Rosines…
My most favorite combinations are:
Un Zeste de Rose + Guerlain Aqua Allegoria Mentafolia = Diabolo Rose
Un zeste de Rose + Estee Lauder Brasil Dream = Rosa Flamenca
Un zeste de Rose + Balmain Ambre Gris = Secrets de la Rose
Well, not exactly, but similar!
Rosines are such fun perfumes, I love them!
Sadly I didn’t find a combination yet to recreate Rose Praline, Rose Kashmirie and Un Zefir de Rose, which are my favorites from the Rosine line…. and nowhere to be found in Cananda….

Perfect rose scent ! It’s fresh but warm like early summer, like sun’s smile. Best Perfume’s de Rosine composition.

Just opened my beautiful Un Zest de Rose…It opens with a lively burst of zesty bergamote & lemon…slowly the hint of dried fruits (unusual) comes through…the middle notes of rose are simply enchanting, it’s an oldfashioned soft rose scent that is just wonderful..mingled with jasmine and tea…and the warmth of the holly and musky amber is just perfect…A very romantic perfume…..I love this scent, I’m so glad I purchased it…. This one is a keeper :o)
