This is truly a gem. Thank you to those who have suggested it in the forums as it encompasses the spices I wanted without being overpowering. I love it.

This is a festive MUST for all gourmie lovers! There’s a bright, uplifting citrus up top that keeps it light and wearable. Comforting, cosy and delicious – for me it conjures up the aromas of Christmas past perfectly.
It would make a phenomenal Christmas candle/room spray…in fact, I might spray my wrapping paper with it if I’m feeling fancy.
The website is clunky as hell and I didn’t even receive shipping notification, so was pleasantly surprised when it arrived this morning. Only took a few days to be delivered to the UK.

I’m a green floral / white floral person and so this is the 1 gourmand outlier in my collection, but it is outstanding and like nothing else out there. So warm, inviting, and complex. I had no problems with the ordering process.

    This is just lovely.
First the French site isn’t too bad if you’ve got a tiny bit of French under your belt or use Google’s page translation feature (Chrome does this for you, it’s not 100% but it helps). I didn’t have any issues at all with ordering. Shipping was really quite quick coming from Europe and they included a few samples and a lovely handwritten note thanking me for buying from them.
My normal perfumes are things like Coromandel. Two sprays and I’m leaving a scent trail behind me all day, more and I’m making people choke. This is far lighter, so you can safely spritz away. It opens very much like a holiday cloved orange. Bright, and fresh, and mulled. Spices and juicy citrus fruit.
As it dries down it starts to smell like the scent left behind in the kitchen after a holiday baking extravaganza. Warm, spiced, yummy, not too sweet. Dusty spices, a warm oven. Extremely cozy and enjoyable. Is it a show stopper? No. But it is so perfect for what it is that I’ll probably set it out all by itself and wear it all December.

I’ve never written a second review, and aside from how annoying ordering from the french site is, I will probably never stop wearing this around the holidays. I tried to get different other holiday scents to mix it up and everything else pales in comparison. This is a christmas kitchen in a bottle, its amazing

This is my favorite winter perfume. Nothing is more comforting to me, the cinnamon, cloves, orange and spices are like the kitchen during the holidays, it makes me feel good.
It lasts forever on me. The only down side is the customer service and website for this house. It is outside of a miracle to place an order, and forget getting them to reply via email.
I have tried to buy fragrance from them repeatedly and the website goes down, or texts go unanswered always. Such a shame for such great perfume.

If you are looking for a signature scent for the holiday season this it is!!
For me it the orange notes that grab me first, but it’s not a crisp clean citrus – it’s warmed by the cinnamon and ginger.
I agree with others, it is sweet but well balanced and not at all sickly.
Absolutely my choice of fragrance for Christmas even here in OZ where Christmas is all about the sun! Who doesn’t think oranges on a hot day 🙂
Oh and I had no problems buying online from the parfumerie’s website. Shipped to Australia with no issues and even arrived with some lovely surprise samples 🙂

I wrote maybe 3 or 4 times to Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque, the adress on their website. I like to buy their perfumes but try some first, would like to pay for the samples. But they never answered. That is behond unpolite.
It is so stupid from them though because i would share my foundings and experience.

I can’t believe I never reviewed this extraordinary perfume. To me it opens with a dry balsa and cinnamon scent, then evolves into a warm fireplace scent, then into a lovely incense that reminds me of an old Byzantine church. It then evolves into what a previous reviewer said: orange studded with cloves, and I also find in the background there’s a warm brick kitchen with gingerbread baking in the oven.
For those inquiring, you can buy these at select stores in France (listed on the perfumer’s website) or buy directly from the perfumer’s online website store.

I get cinnamon, gingerbread, ginger, and some vanilla and orange. After a couple of hours, less spicy, more dessert-like. I was looking for a holiday scent and this is the winner! I feel like a christmas cookie. I’ll be wearing this all month, its perfect. Incidentally, for everyone asking where to get it, I ordered from the Parfums et Senteurs du Pays Basque website and it got here (to US west coast) in about two weeks. Hazmat shipping from Paris cost half again as much as the perfume, but it was moderately priced to begin with and definitely worth it!

I got this in a split on this site and received it last night. It will take a bit to figure this one out. The scent I get from this right now is a cornucopia of Holiday smells. Right away it was the scent of a clove studded orange, then gingerbread, sweet and ginger mixed together. A very comforting perfume.
This will put you in a festive mood.

Where did you get this from??
Can’t get any hits on Google to buy.

I find this to be a very different, original gourmand. It has lots of ginger and cinnamon, an average amount of vanilla, a little tiny bit of coconut. Kind of sweet but mostly sweet-spicy. This strongly reminds me of Christmas, almost like those cinnamon brooms you hang on the back of your door. This perfume is quite strong and pretty long lasting. I already have plans to wear this the entire month of December.
Edit to add – also, I’m surprised I didn’t put this in my review in the first place, the opening smells kind of like bubble gum. Like ginger and bubble gum. From the notes it looks like there is a lot of citrus in the top notes, I don’t feel like I’m getting citrus but that might be what is creating this vibe. Overall a unique perfume.
