Gorgerous. Absolutely gorgeous. From start to finish. It’s like someone managed to bottle happiness. As good as any niche perfume house I have tried. Almost like sherbet. Orange, vanilla, a hint of ginger , maybe chocolate. Lovely gourmand perfume. Everyone loves it. I’m looking everywhere for another bottle as mine is almost finished. Sadly it has been discontinued.

I like this scent and it is a fairly weird concoction like the other Tokyo milks but maybe one of the weirder ones to me in a good way. You’ve never smelt this before, I’m sure. It’s a scent teetering on robust sweet scents but something in it doesn’t combine perfectly with robust or spicy body chemistry. It would sit nicely on a person with a more sour or sweet and mild body Oder. I have a robust chemistry and spicy scents like amber do me well. If I wear this I can’t wear synthetic fabrics or be sweating too much because it turns something unpleasant in that case but on one of my dry, cold skinned and very clean days it sings like a forgotten love letter found 30 years to late to act on, curiously nostalgic for some unknown time and place long ago so sweet and obscure.
Their is a beautiful melancholic element to this that is balanced with sweet optimism.

this is what you get with TRUTH No. 85… sugared vanilla, juicy orange and cedar warmed by the sunshine.
its just an incredible combination of notes that work beyond my wildest dreams. 3 heavenly smells that transport you to places unknown. it dries down to a mellow woody cedar, an unassuming vanilla and a whisper of orange. truth is a comfort scent, its fragrance wraps you in a warm blanket of fall memories and deep calmness. this is by far my favorite of the “fate & fortune” collection. i honestly cannot stop huffing my wrists!! *SWOONING*

I just got this today after going through the whole Tokyo Milk “Dark” line. It was my favorite by far…however I think the dry down is a bit too crisp for me. Initially I get a burst of caramelized oranges which gives way to a soft, honey like citrus before the cedar peeks through. I think it’s one of those fragrances that’s better the less you wear. A small whiff is all you need. Anymore and I’m drowning in bitter cedar :/

The orange is more noticeable at the beginning, but quickly fades away. After that, you are left with vanilla and a strong earthy note with tobacco. This is a complex and different scent, as per usual with Tokyo Milk perfumes. I could see how someone might not like it at first, but it’s almost addictive- the more you smell it the more you like it. I agree that it could be unisex, but I think it’s just a squinge more feminine than masculine due to the vanilla. I love love love the apothecary-like packaging, it makes me feel like a Victorian scientist. I also have Destiny and I think I like Truth a bit more.

I have a similar one like this, named “Yesterday, No. 21” but I don’t see it on Fragrantica yet, though. It has listed as scents a type of rose, Linden, Ginger and a type of wood, but I primarily smell a fruity scent reminiscent of dark, ripe grapes. It’s a nice simple scent. I don’t pick up any cigar, tobacco, or even wood for that matter since it’s listed. The cigar look seems to only be aesthetic for this particular scent. It’s a roller ball, enclosed within a glass tube like an expensive cigar, like the image above. Very unique and interesting presentation. I suppose once I see it listed, I’ll transfer my review.

Delicious!! To me this starts off as a sweet orange but quickly develops into a rich, sweet, vanilla cigar. I love the smell of cigars (even though I’m a woman!) and so I was instantly drawn to this. I think on my skin it smells amazing, but there is something slightly too masculine about it for me. It’s gotta be the cedar (although I swear I get cigar/tobacco, not cedar). The vanilla is really lovely. I think this could be a unisex scent but it borders on masculine. Sillage is moderate and longevity is moderate as well. I have really gotten to appreciate Tokyo Milk.
