I detect amber, magnolia, jasmine and musk. To me this perfume is best described as warm soft spicy rather than sweet. There is a sweetness present but it spicy and menthol sweet rather than gourmand or candy sweet. Projection is very good for the first 90 minutes- within arms length, thereafter it becomes a skin scent. This is long lasting for avon 5 hours on my skin. It is enjoyable and smells rather complex for the first 90 minutes, I find that it dries down into a fresh cotton laundry skin scent, with slight raspberry menthol undertones. It is a very pleasant fragrance and one of Avon’s best. I used to own this and I do miss it, Luckily my aunt still has a bottle and I always have a spray whenever I visit.

It reminds me of my fathers age-old aftershave, he used to buy… On me it is definetely masculine. Sorry. Dislike. 🙁

Sweet and floral. Strong at first but then mellows into a powdery musk. Slightly masculine smelling but that could be down to the musk dry down. Great fragrance though. Found a bottle on ebay luckily as Avon have stopped maing this.

first: do not buy this without sampling!
would say its oriental, starts harsh, and yes it starts like a male-fragrance! i smell no raspberry in the head, neither later.
after 10 minutes lot of elegant oriental flower, must be the jasmine and rose mix.
after 30 minutes comes the amber and the sweet vanilla and it becomes soft and creamy, my favorite phase of all 3.
i expected something complete different sice i LOVE the first TRUE GLOW (the orange/yellow flame-bottle) and i dont like oriental/flowery stuff. its quite the opposite of the first true glow, very elegant, after the harsh start becomes a very feminin oriental/vanilla one, but in a classic way not a sexy one.
basenotes reminds me on a flowery soap when i was a child and i took a bath before i was put into my pyjama and into the fresh bed-linen watching out into the dark night-sky hearing some crickets doing their noises…
maybe this one memory makes me keeping it, but i have headache now sniffle it for hours for a review…
just give it a second try, its a frag full of opposites (head: male, middle: extremly female, base: chreamy and soft. wtf?!)
actually not a bad one if u like orientals and elegant ones, it has quality (for avon;) just wanna mention this cause avon frags often smell cheap and chemical…
all in all, with the promotion/bottle/color of the bottle(a blue flame is a strange concept)/my expectations after the first true glow, i would say its a WHEIRD ONE 😀

It may smell a bit masculine but the fragrance is one of those very few Avon fragrances that do not strike an European nose as “too evident”. Interesting and friendly rather than pretty or fascinating, TG Nightfall is likely to become your everyday perfume despite all its shortcomings.
Igorexa – :
I agree that True Glow Nightfall is a bit more masculine but I’d rather describe it as a classical oriental perfume. The scent is permeated by typical indian spices, aromas and… ideas! The beginning is quite strong and heavy, but it quickly melts down. As it develops, a soft powdery note appears.
I expected to see sandalwood in the pyrmide.
It smells like an indian shop :-))) and it’s suitable for India lovers!

Masculin deodorant smell, strong, invasive, kinda cheap smelling too, but what bothers me the most is it’s lack of feminity. Bleah..
FriendBrianna – :
that one is more better than the original
less spicy and more quite
