HemnupNuamp – :
All the notes sound wonderful and the blend is the key. If it is anything like her coking we are all in for a treat. I love her recipes. They do not fail. There is a softness among southern women, and I am sure her cologne will reflect the same. I will head to Walmart to try this one. I hope from the sea of celebrity frags, this will be great. If anyone can pull it off, she can.

I enjoyed the perfume of this, but the body mist smelled very cheap. If you have the option go with the edp.. It had a lot of amber and slight peach.

Maybe Im nose blind to this scent? I smell nothing. Absolutely nothing. When I saw it was like Cherished I really wanted to try it and I’m glad I got a sample because I can’t smell anything at all.

This is such a soft and beautiful musky scent (on me). While it is light, it lasts a good 8+ hours on skin and i keep getting whiffs of it even when I think I can’t smell it anymore. For $20 I seriously can’t complain about this blind buy (since no testers were out).

I’m going to re-post the review I left on Walmart’s website, as this fragrance hadn’t been added to the Fragrantica directory yet:
I’m a big fragrance hobbyist (“Perfumista”) so this is going to be specific: This is such a high-end, niche seeming scent to be so affordable. Nothing about this blend screams or is discordant in any way and although very fresh and clean smelling, there’s nothing harsh or sterile about its freshness.
It opens on a creamy, almost buttermilk and petals blend of honeysuckle and vague white florals, with slight kick of dry fiber background, like hay or linen. The florals get milkier yet stay very fresh, developing into an almost solar-musk kind of powdery oiliness, almost like luxury suntan oil.
At this point, the woods emerge and although many notes are listed, they all blend together to mostly come across as a pulpy, buttery sandalwood. The sandalwood blends with an amber that gets stronger and more golden on drydown, with a very slightly grainy, resinous touch that’s almost a little salty like ambergris, finishing the scent.
Longevity is amazing for just the body spray and I imagine the EDP will be even more long lasting. The body spray noticeably wore for a full 8 hours and I could pick it out on my clothes the next day. It started out strong for about 4 hours and remained an ambery, sandalwood whisper on the skin for the rest of the day.
It’s suitable for work or nights out and I imagine the amber will carry stronger on damp evenings. Great value, dynamic and stylish composition and a fairly unique offering in a sea of fruity-floral laundry scents. “Trisha Yearwood” offers something a little more tender, nostalgic and natural for those who want something special to wear that isn’t too challenging to noses around you.
