Description

Tourmaline, a mysterious gemstone said to possess the magical power of a love potion…Tourmaline, a multi-facetted stone available in an infinite array of colors, offers shimmering, vibrant hues, including green and blue. Tourmaline, a rare gem, bearer of myriad emotions!

No other stone than tourmaline – unique, refined and radiant – could have more deeply inspired Philippe Charriol for his new women’s eau de toilette. Philippe Charriol, renowned for his luxurious lines of watches and jewelry, defines “the art of perfume as an art of living differently”.

Tourmaline is an entirely different eau de toilette: an eau de jour full of contrasts designed for radiant, relaxed, fashionable women who convey modern-day elegance with admirable know-how, naturally combining a pair of slim-fit jeans with a dressy sheer blouse and a men’s jacket. Tourmaline, an eau de jour for every day, pleasant under any circumstances, modern and refined, at once so personal and so easy to wear.

THE FRAGRANCE

This green, floral fragrance evokes transparency and light before being turned upside-down by the unexpected and powerful introduction of woody notes providing truly radiant sensuality.

Perfume creator: Guillaume Flavigny – Givaudan

Olfactory family: floral, green, woody

Top notes : A fresh, transparent start that evokes crumpled leaves mixed with morning dew.

Davana, a flower with a sweet, fruity side, softens the sparkly tanginess of the green notes. Cyclamen brings transparency with delicate refinement, while ivy leaf offers its sparkling, crisp green freshness.

Middle notes: Light, light and more light!

Gardenia, a very feminine, opulent flower with its white petals, blends with sundrenched frangipani blossom to illuminate Tourmaline with a unique burst of light. Water hyacinth, an aquatic flower, prolongs the transparent facet of the fragrance into its core.

Base notes:

Wood gives uniqueness to Tourmaline by making its floral structure gradually evolve toward greater sensuality and refinement for ultra-feminine sensations…

Soft and subtly voluptuous rosewood and transparent, almost powdery and highly tenacious musk inundate the composition with exquisite, refined sensuality. Radiant patchouli provides irresistibly seductive depth and mystery.

Transparency, light and sensuality are the three precious and elegant facets of this beautiful eau de jour, Tourmaline.

THE TOURMALINE BOTTLE AND BOX

The green facet of the precious stone was selected for the Tourmaline bottle: a fresh, subtle color that lets light in.

In the same vein, the design of this transparent, satiny Charriol bottle for women harmonizes perfectly with this light and its bursts of color: curved lines for femininity; sober, pure lines for modernity.

The famous raised steel cable motif, the Charriol trademark, is sculpted in the glass, wrapping around the bottle with elegance and transparency. The bottle’s center features the signature of the prestigious brand.

The Tourmaline bottle, topped with a jewel-like cap with metallic celadon green facets, underscores the natural sophistication of this eau de toilette.

In the same color as the bottle, the Tourmaline box features embossed tone-on-tone logos and is bordered by a vertical silver strip that sets off the raised celadon green letters of the Charriol name.

Tourmaline ideally complements the Eau de Toilette and Eau de Parfum for Women by Parfums Charriol – opulent, rich, luxurious fragrances. Tourmaline Eau de Toilette, 100 ml, 50 ml, 30 ml spray.

Tourmaline was launched in 2010.

This isn’t anything special – but it’s not exactly your usual aquatic either. Sadly, it’s still an aquatic. I received this in a tester pack and it’s not doing too much for me at the moment. I mean, I might buy it if I found it for under $30 but right now it just makes me think of a Britney Spears perfume.

This perfume is another hit blind buy bargain for me! I got the 50ml bottle for USD 15. It’s green floral which has an early 90s vibe to it. Mossy, grassy notes are pronounced along with Gardenia. The Patchouli adds a hint of sweetness in the drydown. Inoffensive but it’s there. I’ve been wearing this for 8 hours and it still lingers nicely. It’s great for summer nights.

I have been going up and below looking for this perfume. So when i finall found it and took a sniff…it was the worst ever. I am glad i did not buy this randomly without smelling it first. It smelled like wet dirt and dried flowers.

A very pretty astringent green fruity-floral that has a sharp 80’s vibe to it. A bit artificial smelling but long-lasting.

Firstly, this fragrance has a wonderful skin hugging embrace that lasts for hours. It’s 24 hours since my last spray of this refreshing fragrance and it’s still lingering on my skin. For an EDT, I’m VERY impressed.
It begins with very lush green notes, which I found invigorating and refreshing during this burst of spring weather we’re having in Australia at the moment. I love that quality as it helped inspire me to do some spring cleaning! The ivy is an unusual touch as it has a pine like quality, again, refreshing, but this soon passes on the baton to the water notes which changes the tone altogether. I liked this transition because the intensity of the green notes could become quite overpowering.
The gardenia and frangipani compete for a short while, but the gardenia eventually wins out. I do love both of those floral notes, but I find the gardenia can be a little overwhelming at times. Fortunately, the water hyacinth provides a handover do a lovely, woody drydown with a hint of spiciness from the patchouli. In the final 24 hours of wearing this fragrance, the sweet and floral notes drift in and out with the spicy woodiness. C’est fomidable!
I love the faceted lid on the flacon too. It’s simple, but it’s such a stand out. The bottle is almost stripped bare, too bare, but the lid just tops it off magnificently! Never forget to show love for the bottles too as they are little works of art on their own! The pale aquamarine colour of the glass is so ethereal and feminine! The bottle showcases the Charriol jewellery making brand well. A true gem indeed!
A refined and elegant scent for your collection of spring and summer beauties. I’ve become a huge fan of Guillaume Flavigny’s perfume creations. I’ve a few of them in my collection now, and I’m hungry to try more.

Could’ve sworn there was tuberose in here, but it turns out to be gardenia. What was mixed with the gardenia to make it smell creamier than the gardenia in the linear Marc Jacobs? The scent is too intense to sniff up close, so maybe not the best thing to wear on a date with the hubby.
Nice work with the patchouli in the drydown, as being not very keen on patch, it’s one I could actually stand, and like sniffing from time to time. Lasted more than 12 hours on my skin!

I wouldn’t have guessed it is aquatic, it is real nice, in a simple way it is actually very pleasant. It smells fresh, with a bit of florals, so it isn’t boring really. I don’t find it very green, it is more a light floral scent, and I would mind owning one bottle for spring and summer.
I always go back to my decant to smell it, pretty scent. Would make a nice gift and it would smell good to a lot of people. It reminds me of True Religion in its freshness and transparency.

This perfume was my first Floral Green and to be honest, I thought it would be ‘fresher’. It is a basic floral, nothing special but nice for every day wear. This perfume is perfect for around the house or just whenever you want to smell like something. Its not too strong and I find the staying power lasts longer on clothes then on my skin. I also spray it in my hair and find it wonderful in your hair.

Watery notes with slightly bitter-sweet flowers and some woodsy notes behind all. Tourmaline is gentle and romantic, it works clean and attractive….I think should be pleasant to anybody. Actually it smells like the color of its bottle – watery turquoise. Reminds me somehow of spring time. It’s always good to have at hand something like this!

A nother gardenia perfume for gardenia lovers you have to try this one much lighter than Private Collection Tuberose Gardenia but still lasts for hours. The bottle is adorable.

I had to have it. I love the original so much. A huge gardenia hit in the heart (which is great by me) it defies the freshest of top notes that had me thinking it was going to some kind of high citrus fragrance. Tourmeline lasts well with a dry down that diminishes into a soft woody warm rose powder. Pretty Dazzling and Glamorous

To me it smells more like grapefruit.

Tourmaline seems to me more floral aquatic than green. Unfortunately, I’m not an aquatic lover and though the bottle is gorgeous, I don’t enjoy the fragrance enough to buy it. This scent for me is something like Nautica fragrances would smell.
