What oh what is this..?!? LOL..this is pleasant enough, I suppose..Not a perfume-y smell, to me this is more like a fruity body mist, in a prettier bottle. And yet..doesn’t even really smell like a fruity body mist, but if I were pressed to describe this, I guess that is the best answer I could give. Maybe the bottle I got is bad. But I agree with the other reviewers saying the notes listed here seem very inaccurate. To me this is a sweet fruity scent..almost like a fruit jam smell. Mehhhh..not really my thing. Just not something I want to smell like. Maybe will be nicer in the warmer months, I will hang onto this until then and revisit this then. But right now this smells like a fragrance that missed the mark of what it is trying to “say”..at least on my skin. Mehh..next!!!

Yes, the note matrix here is WAY off. Definitely not what I am smelling when I wear it.
Let me say, the fragrance itself was sweet and rosy and really pretty. BUT! It was completely gone from my skin in 2 hours. Nothing. No trail…no hint. Not even a skin scent at that point. And life is way too short for fragrances that don’t tick all of my boxes. If I wanted a body mist, I’d pull out my Bath and Body Works mists.

I just bought myself a 1.7 oz. bottle of Touch With Love for under $10 on the ‘bay, based on the raving reviews here. I don’t know what to make of this juice. It’s definitely plasticky and synthetic. Roses? I guess… I’m getting something kind of bitter and cough medicine-y combined with a bit of soft sweetness (which I’m assuming is vanilla?). The top notes have probably gone off, because I get pure acetone upon first spray. I can’t tell if I like TWL or I hate it, haha! I keep going back for repeated sniffs, though. Hmmm… I think this fragrance is going to be one of those that I’ll have to re-review after numerous wearings… Puzzling.
ETA: I wore it all day; the dry down’s not bad (powdery/warm/soft), but overall, I don’t think I can wear this. *Sigh* Another blind buy for the swap stash… Hey, I lose out but my fellow Fragranticans benefit, haha! 😉
E(again)TA: I think my issue with this fragrance is that it’s too linear, at least on me. I want scents that evolve over the hours, showing nuances and facets not initially present. Though TWL’s dry down’s pleasant, it’s still-on me-essentially the same fragrance throughout its life.

Previous reviewers are correct, the notes pyramid and classification for this one is 100% inaccurate.
THIS fragrance has a modern, elegant vinyl/plastic/waxy note like a scented lipstick/ lip gloss. I don’t know if this makes any sense, but to me it SMELLS like shiny red patent vinyl or PVC. I imagine a thin, angular brunette in a red vinyl minidress and matching designer lip-gloss, carrying a small bouquet of red roses and wildflowers dusted with scented cosmetic powder.
The notes pyramid and less-than-thorough-or-enthusiastic description are way off, but the reviewers save the day with accuracy and helpful first-hand experience.
For me, Fred Hayman’s Touch With Love is lovely and unique.
No idea about performance yet but the fact that my bottle cost less than $10 USD makes longevity a non-issue.
Very soft, I find the projection initially moderate with a decrescendoing dry-down. Very waxy, creamy, glossy, TWL is a lovely fragrance indeed.

Correct Notes: Bergamont, Mandarin, Cyclamen, Luscious Peach, Fresh Berries, Dewy Freesia, Violet, Cedarwood, Musk and, Vanilla. (This listing shows oriental and thats is FAR OFF BASE) If you get an older bottle, the citrus is a little vague, so don’t look for the Bergamont at the top, but the rest is there so you don’t miss it except at the first 2 seconds of spray which is pretty much all I get from top notes.

Powdery, creamy, sweet. Smells like a body cream, and its quite nice!
Wait! Now I know what this reminds me of! Vera Wangs Embrace Rosebud Vanilla!!!!
Notes are way off…no green..no amber to me. Just rosey sweet creamy lotion with vanilla! <3

I have to agree, very powdery and rosy, church lady scent. Not unpleasant just staying in the high notes for me. I don’t think I smell anything oriental, however.
Edited: the dry down is almost a faint sandalwood-musk finish. This part is very pleasing and not heavy. faint powdery floral mixed in. Not bad.

Berries over cheap woods. Very generic. A disappointment.

This is little gem was unknown to me but thanks to the wonderful reviewers on this site, I was able to make a perfect blind buy. TWL is gorgeous! Take some fluffy rose-flavored marshmallows, smash ’em with raspberry lipstick, throw some amber on top and there you have it! It’s like sticking your nose in an expensive make-up bag. Thick, sensual, and so very feminine. This is a younger, gentler, sweeter sister of Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose. Stays close to the skin and fades after a few hours. But for the price, it really can’t be beat. My best cheapie ever. Love!
Ps: Fragrantica: Please correct the notes. These are all wrong. This fragrance is not woody, green, or oriental at all!

I was very surprised by this perfume, in the best way possible. Due to its low price, I admit I was a little prejudiced– I was expecting something that might be good for wearing to bed or casually, but I wasn’t expecting much more than that. I certainly wasn’t expecting to find a new love 🙂
But this stuff is great! Both the look of the bottle and the smell remind me of pink lemonade combined with vintage lipstick. It’s a sweet, delicate, fluffy soft cloud of roses and raspberries. It’s similar to Frederic Malle’s Lipstick Rose, but a softer pink. There’s also a little tart green-ness at the start which is giving it a slightly citrusy, lemonade aspect.
Overall, it smells much more expensive than it is– not at all like a cheap body spray or drugstore perfume. This is a fairly safe blind buy for those who like ultra feminine sweet pink scents (such as Lipstick Rose, My Insolence, Drole de Rose etc.)
My only complaint is the longevity and sillage. You really need to spray quite a bit to get the desired sillage, and it doesn’t last long on me.. but other people without hungry caterpillar scent eating skin will probably have better luck in that area, perfumes never last long on me. And besides, this scent is so inexpensive that it’s not really trouble to re-apply often.
    A winner!
PS- notes listed on this page are way off. If you go into this expecting a green spicey oriental you are going to be disappointed. This is sweet delicate roses, roses, roses. Maybe some violet/iris and powder. Definitely not an oriental though.

I’m in total agreement with drugstore classics’ spot on review. (Thank you!) A great budget find, complex, long lasting, and different. Really am liking this one!

    Edited:
Aha. The notes here are confusing, but the fragrance is lovely.
Very well balanced, in fact. Touch With Love seems to encapsulate both traditional and modern perfumery in one satisfying little treasure. Old fashioned floriental, meet the new girl, rose-vanilla! A little like scented lipstick, in fact…
Summary – A happy bargain if I ever saw one. Ideal for someone newly acquainting themselves with more classic perfumery. And also ideal for ME, the vintage lover learning to like modern vanillas. 😉
Update – The more I wear her the more she is to me a Creamy Raspberry Vanilla Rose The notes may be off, and that’s OK. It’s an adventure. 😉

Its like a sweet soda – I can smell it as she walks, like a cream soda cloud that washes over me! The “she” here refers to my sister, she sniffed “Touched with Love” at the perfume counter today as she bought her birthday gift, a “Perry Elis” gift set, and decided that she had to get it for $85TT.
I do still pick up some of those green notes though – but that is closer to the skin. A pretty perfume, not the run of the mill flower/fruit scent. Sillage is awesome and this can make you smile because those around would definitely know you’re wearing some interesting perfume……..

  16. :

This is a like and not a love. It’s a pretty enough scent, dominated by rose and with clear notes of raspberry, powder, and vanilla. It doesn’t have great sillage, but it does last several hours.
While this is a keeper, it won’t be one of my top scents. It doesn’t develop much in the dry-down, which disappoints me (though some seem to prefer that), and it is just a little to comfortable and soft-focus to me.
I can easily imagine this being absolutely loved by someone else, though. There’s certainly nothing cheap about it.

This smells so good…Not listed as a note, but I smell vanilla. To me this smells alittle like Roses and More,Would buy again.

    SCORE!
I’m pretty sure rose is missing in the notes. I LOVE rose and this is a very sweet, powdery rose. Not baby powder “powdery” though.
It smells just like the opening of a very expensive lipstick – one that’s laced with raspberry and vanilla.
Good grief, it’s so inexpensive with great quality ingredients (whatever they may be) and Gorgeous!

One of my favorite cheap thrills, that does not smell cheap in the least.
Sweet, powdery, lipstick-y rose composition, wery well done. Reminds me of the scent of some high-end lipstick from Dior or YSL.
I would say, among so many rose perfumes out there, Touch with Love is quite a unique little gem, with fabulous projection and longevity.

MMMMMM. yes!! Picked this up on a whim and so glad I did. Notes listed above are not correct – spices and wood? No. This is rose.
The scent it leaves behind in the box is misleading. The box trail smells 80s mishmash.
On first spray, the top reveals that sweet thin veil I get from Bvulgari and Dolce & Gabbana fragrances. It doesn’t last long, as soon after settling, a deep heart of rose opens, mixed with a tidge of berrycitrusvanillacream. Ever so subtle vanillacitrusberrycream, but just enough to feature the rose. I am immediately reminded of the Paris rose scent, L’Occitane rose, and the rose scent in Lancome cosmetics. This is warmer than Rock N Rose Couture, thanks to an amber/woods/powder/vanilla base.
Thankfully rose is my signature flower, so I’m totally into this. Gorgeous. This is a daytime rose, easing into dinner. Maybe good for a summer outdoor nighttime picnic, is casual but bold.
    Enjoy!

This perfume works extremely well with my body chemistry- every time I wear it, I get a lot of people (friends, family and strangers!) saying, “You smell divine, what are you wearing?” My 16 year old cousin told me, “Oh my gosh you smell like a goddess!” lol
With my body chemistry, this scent goes on with heavy green and spicy notes, then fades into a woodsy-powdery scent that is just wonderful. I’ve been wearing this for over 8 years, and I don’t see myself letting it go any time soon!

I just purchase the 1.7 fl. oz. size for $7.80. It’s alright – not too crazy about it. All I smell are roses. It comes on strong with a piercing scent of roses then mellows down to a salty-powdery rose scent (according to my body chemistry). Roses, that’s all I smell. Reminds me of my rosewater toner I ran out of – yes, must purchase more rosewater toner. : ) Maybe I’ll wear it for leisure or a trip to the store. If not, I’ll give it to a relative or friend.

Sweet and powdery, mild, pleasant, but kinda cheap and synthetic. For the price (3.4 oz for $9.99), not bad. I agree, it’s a soft, sweet, comfort scent. Reminds me of baby powder or lotion, with a bit of rose-vanilla-amber, and maybe like raspberry syrup? Might be good for a young girl.

I love this perfume. It was really a surprise, I didn’t expect much. But it is like a conforting scent, and slight surupy type of scent. Not sticky surupy, but the aroma of it.

For no apparent reason I love this. I’ve been basking in the comfort of this scent all day long. I don’t know what I smell for sure. I can’t compare it to any other scent. I know that during the bitter cold of winter, there are times when your chilled and this scent smells like and feels like a warm blanket right out of the dryer. Clean, dry, warm, cuddly. This is a blankey in a bottle. Buy a blankey and save a hug!

A bit too strong for me.
Packaging and bottle looks a bit cheap~but it is cheap, so

Good news to rose lovers!…A real rose scent for a good price…
That’s similar like Rochas Lumiere or Givenchy’s Very Irresistible. If you like them, so you’ll like this…
This has no oriental and no woody side IMO,I smell only fresh rose in that…

Ooh, I really love this one! The amber in this really stands out on me, and it gives this mysterious, sexy vibe. I also get this note in it that smells clean, but maybe that’s the new soap I used.. either way it’s nice. I also enjoy the warmth of the wood undertones. It really gives me the cozy warm feeling that I like in my Fall/Winter perfumes.
I got this as a tester from Scented Monkey… too bad I spilled the whole thing on the bathroom counter. I’m going to have to get a bottle of this one!
Editing to say I got my bottle today. It took me several tries to get the perfume to pump out and I ended up with a half spray, but I sprayed again with a full spray. I think this was a big mistake. The first 30 minutes of this was ok and everything I listed above, but after that I started getting this strong bittery wood smell that did not agree with me at all. I think I started to get an allergic reaction from it. My throat got all scratchy and my lungs as well. I don’t remember this from my sample at all. I think it’s because I just put too much on. I tried to get some off with water, but it just sort of stuck around with me all night. I guess it’s safe to say a little bit of this goes a long way!

It is very sweet powdery long lasting and different from your average perfume,I got a 3.4 oz for $9.99 and I am glad I did.I like this one ALOT!
