Askania – :
A bittery sweet spice and coumarin scent. Manly and almost Oriental.
It lasts for many hours on clothes with relatively low projection but it’s a good thing. A perfume for more intimate occations.
Now discontinued and hard to find on line in Greece.
Xeroxqlvmo – :
Tonka Brown Magic Happens on me is a ton of spices (mostly cardamom), a lot of cedar, some lemon and a little rose on a base of tonka bean, sandalwood & white musk. Now and then it reminds me of Jesus del Pozo Ambar because of the cardamom, cedar and citus notes, but it’s not as warm and there’s a lot more wood going on.
It last for hours and hours – at first the sillage is heavy, but most of the time it’s moderate. Also, initially the perfume is very masculine, but it becomes more and more unisex with time. And honestly, I don’t even mind the masculine prelude – neither does anyone around find it inadequate for a female.
This is a bit of a special perfume to me. Not only I really love the smell, but it also brings back a lot of memories – I discovered it while on holidays in one of my favorite places on earth, Greece. In an istant, it transports me to a happy place – no matter how rainy, gray and cold the day is. I guess magic does happen.
