Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Weekend Getaway I think was released by the wrong house. Tommy Weekend Getaway is the most recent TH release and it is very tropical. It seriously smells and plays like a Tommy Bahamas fragrance. It is a very tropical scent. I find it is as if you combine Set Sail Martinique, Set Sail St. Barts, Bleu de Chanel, Nautica Life and slightly Dylan Blue. When I first smelt it smelt more like Dylan Blue than I think now. It recently hit the discounters and I would keep my eye out on it.
Tommy Weekend Getaway has a booze to it when it opens, similar to St. Barts, though that is where it ends, despite both being tropical scents. This covers up the bergamot/ginger open which is common in blue fragrances like Bleu, Dylan Blue and Nautica Life. The mid gets a little bit suncreeny like Martinique along with pepper and some clary sage. The base is almost all veitver with some slight sandalwood. So yeah, I think there are maybe a few notes or accords that aren’t mentioned in Tommy Weekend Getaway that are in the fragrance.
Tommy Weekend Getaway is a nice performing spring/summer all day scent. I find that it projects moderately for about an hour and a half and then last as a skin scent for about five hours more. It is really good for getaways, could work in work settings and dates. It may not be unique but you’ll smell good.
Tommy Weekend Getaway is a must get especially if you don’t have the Tommy Bahamas Set Sail fragrances I compared it to and want a Blue fragrance but with its own character. I rate Tommy Hilfiger Tommy Weekend Getaway a 7.5 out of 10. I hope like Tommy Summer fragrances, I can find this over the next few years to replenish this because between this and Perry Ellis Cobalt, I don’t think I need anymore Blue fragrances.

Picked this one up for a good price at TJ Maxx this week. The first day I wore it I got a couple compliments calling this frag refreshing at work. Then later a department store cashier also let me know I smelled good. It has a little sweetness but nothing cloying. Longevity seems better than other Hilfiger frags I’ve tried (ex. 1985)
All in all a cool summer frag and something different from Hilfiger house.

I blind bought this because I was intrigued by the name and the thought of a cologne evoking the spirit of the weekend. I’m sure glad I did! It’s definitely a summer scent and reminds me of tommy girl but with a bit of spice sprinkled on top. Almost unisex but more on the masculine side. I would highly recommend giving this one a try!

I’ve been wearing and testing this for a few days now and surprisingly,I’m enjoying the ginger, vetiver & bergamot combo a lot. No expectations but admittedly,it surprised me how good it is and contrary to what the other reviewer mentioned,I consistently get a good 6-7 hrs on this. The ginger is just so nice and smooth in comparison to other ginger dominant frags out there. Will truly be wearing a lot of this this spring and summer. I say a good release in a while for the Tommy Hilfiger house.

What? No coconut?

Despite the name this is Tommy summer cologne 2018. And unlike last years summer edition (Tommy tropics) this one actually smells like a summer cologne. It’s citrusy, fresh and honestly quite nice. But it’s also very weak starting as a skin scent and then being completely gone in an hour or so.
