Very pleasant. Lots of compliments. Soft, not to overwhelming. Hard to find now. Went through the bottle in one month!!

I like Tommy Bahama pour homme & St Barts. So I was curious to smell this but when I did It was not pleasing at all. It reminded me of wet wood (not a bad thing), rum gone bad and Peptol Bismol which even though you always seem to whiff the bottle due to intrigue, its not a pleasing scent overall. In any case it was very strange to me & im afraid i wouldnt get compliments but sour faces or raised eyebrows. I then recently got into very cool from Tommy & Martinique which is a darker almost night time wear of St Barts. & now that i seem to have & like all Tommy Bahama scents i am now intrigued to try Set Sail South Seas again & if i see it at ross, tj maxx or marshalls as i did with the others, I will purchase it. If i still cant wear it i will use it as a linen spray.

Another transparent fragrance from this line that becomes trace by the 4th hour. It provides a refreshing citrus blast over a heart of rum accord, water accord, and juniper. The base is nearly non-existent- despite the notes listed on the duplicate entry here. Since when is cardamom (a very volatile oil!) a base note!? Anyway, SSSS is very-nice if you’re attending a lively, but short, event. It’s smells a bit like planter’s punch (one of sour, two of sweet…) meets the ocean. Sillage is soft to moderate.
I bought and reviewed all of the TB men’s fragrances except Vintage Paradise (which so far is only available through their website). I am keeping only TB Signature (an elegant spicy-woody) and SS Martinique (a unique aquatic) as they seem to be the only ones designed using a traditional pyramid.

This cologne was something wicked bad on me. Same as ‘Nattonline’ – I couldn’t get this stuff off of me fast enough. I like St. Bart’s a little.

great on clothes, to give them that beach surfer smell, it actually compliments Hollister Socal!!

I finally got to try this today and all I smelled was a really bitter and medicinal woody headache. It was so bad, my friend told me to PLEASE go wash it off. Whether the tester went bad or my chemistry just didn’t work with this fragrance. My result may not be conclusive. but I believe this is the worst Tommy Bahama so far. Stay away folks! unless you wanna take a risk.

Run and wood notes. Simple and casual good for the low price.

I picked this up at Marshall’s while I was visiting friends in Cleveland! I was at the counter about to purchase a few items when I took one last look over at the mens fragrances & lord behold there was Set Sail South Seas! I over looked it! I searched thru all of there mens offerings & I bypassed this beauty! Needless to say I jumped out of line to grab it before someone else did! This is great! I get well over 6+ hours of longevity! It does not project far but its nice when someone gets close to you & especially for a hug! Not a huge pyramid here & there is no need for one! Beautifully done by Tommy Bahama! This is the only frag house where I actually enjoy every scent they make for men!

the wood and rum really make this scent feel exotic and hip
from a good scent line, this is definately a must have and probably the best of the tommy bahama scents this will get u noticed and if over applied slightly u will be complimented compared to many other scents

I was a little disappointed in this. I expected something masculine with a hint of sweetness from the rum. But the rum comes off quite fruity and as for the woodsy notes they aren’t that prominent. But after its all said and done its a OK summer fragrance.

After liking Tommy Bahama’s Set Sail St. Barts, I really wanted to give this a try. I ended up not caring for too much. This, to me, smells a little feminine :/. I really do smell the rum in it though.

One thing about this scent is that it is a faint scent, at the time of application, it smell’s really good, but it gets better over the course of the day, kinda fruity/beachy/woodsy/citrusy…but good

I smelled this at TJMaxx today and it smells like a guys version of DKNY DKNY women. A total green scent with a vodka note. Thats all I got..

this stuff is great, but they got the notes wrong
