Pretty. Better than 98% of Avons. Sillage is soft. Longevity is about 5-6 hours. It’s…pretty.
The End.

I got this because I was selling Avon for short time. And I thought that I may like this because it has gardenia and I have certain affinity for white florals. Alas, far too late I didn’t realize that I tend to like tuberose but not gardenia. People think those two smell alike but nothing could be further from the truth. Gardenia tends to be very green, very potent scent. Tuberose is far more sweet and in some scents, can be cloying. Overall, I love gardenias but not in fragrance.
You really get full blown gardenia here with green stems and leaves. If you like that sort of scents, you will LOVE this.
I am not a fan though

To me, this smells like yellow tulips and some honey. It’s nice, but I feel no “DNA” of the TTA series there. On my personal taste, it also lacks some freshness.
The scent is floral-sweet, soft but with a nice longevity. I am not a fan, but I can fully understand why are people liking it.

This would be much more popular if it had another name than Avon on it. I bought it blind and almost gave it up after smelling it in early spring, while the weather was still cold, but after just a month I tried it again and fell in love. A fresh white floral spiced with a little ginger, suited for every occasion, with a feeling of warm skin in the drydown, thanks to the immortelle. I like this much more for the summer than, for example, EL Bronze Goddess or SL Datura Noir.

A beautiful bouquet in a bottle!
Perfect light floral fragrance for this time of year.
Very appropriate for the office, school etc.
Wearing it gives me a happy feeling!…like sunshine in a bottle!
It also seems to be one of the rare Avon perfumes that has a nice longevity to it during the day! (I maybe reapply once at midday).

I get lily-of-the-valley even though not listed. Clean, sweet (but not overly) gardenia and honey. Somehow it reminds me of YSL Paris from the 80’s.. same floral powdery feeling.. a very nice and pleasant fragrance – a little bit mature. Smells much more expensive than it is.

Today I used it after a long time and the whole day I was looking around me to see who smells so good?! I like it a lot. The whole composition reminds me on my favourite flower, blue hyacinth, even though it’s not in it, so no wonder it makes me feel good. I don’t care that it’s a fragrance for the masses, as long as my chemistry handels it so well..

For myself, this is a casual sophisticated fragrance that wraps a woman in a warm blanket of comforting notes and quiet luxury. Nothing about is pretentious or obtuse; some designer fragrances definitely assault the senses with their overwhelming presence, announcing “this woman dropped a lot of money on this perfume!”. Daydream by Avon more lingers around a lady and is never overbearing or announcing, more akin to a quiet invitation. The fragrance definitely smells expensive and can be worn for special evenings or running errands.

soapy gardenia (almost lily of the valley-ish) from beginning to end, which is a few hours on me. pleasant, warm, lazy. not an everyday fragrance for me, it’s quite relaxing and appropriate for a chill-day at home reading … i wouldn’t wear it out or to work

Gardenia and Ginger. And I’m really liking the Ginger. Unexpected for a floral. Lots of honey in the dry down.

I got this as a gift from Avon, 50 ml EdP. Beautiful bottle.
I was very curious to test this, because the reviews are somewhat negative.
The notes of gardenia are strong, immortelle I don’t know how it smells, but I love the strong gardenia.
The dry down is clean and soft.
Longlasting.
I was planning to sell the bottle or give it away – but I’m keeping it myself. It’s different from my other scents.
Daydream is a perfect name for this perfume, it has a lot of sunshine in it.
This is a beautiful floral spring and summer scent.

It lacks the creamy sweetness that most Avon perfumes have.Opens with a honeysuckle-like flower ( is that Gardenia ? ) , after about 2 hours it becomes a little bit soapy and creamy. You’ll probably like this if you want something simple and clean
Longetivity was around 9-10 hours on my skin.

I received a sample of this from my Avon lady today.
It’s very floral, normally I can smell Gardenia at 100 paces as it hates me or my nose hates it, but all I get is a chamomile, varnished wood scent. Very sweet and nice but nothing spectacular.
It has the same odd note that Moschino Light Clouds has… like a nail polish smell. Not harsh, soft and dare I say likeable.
I won’t be buying a bottle though.
