This has become my favorite from the Bloomsbury collection. It starts with a burst of mandarin, very fresh and citrusy! then the deep smokiness and woodiness of tobacco comes out! I never expected to enjoy this scent, but out of all the 5 from this collection, this I have worn the most! the dry down on me is so rich and buttery, creamy…almost powdery!
I have started combining it with Myrrh and Tonka….excellent results for me! Very appropiate for the Autumn weather! Love it!

Light and airy. Very fresh. None of the notes are too heavy. Clean. Love it.

Tobacco and Mandarin was the first one I want to try from that set because I have a crush on tobacco note. Often perfume with tobacco note are sweet but this one is fresher and lighter so elegant. I really like it. A nice adition (addiction) to my tobacco perfume collection.

The tobacco is the dominant note here. This smells more masculine to me than feminine.
When you first spray it it smells almost chocolate-y. The scent is truly beautiful. The chocolate is not a listed note, because it is the tobacco that gives a chocolatey fragrance. Some tobacco leaves smell chocolately, and Jo Malone London captures that beautifully here.
I love tobacco-based scents.
However, you have to realize that the heart brings about this baby powder scent. You wouldn’t think so from the classification and the notes, but there is a definite and noticeable baby powder vibe in this fragrance. And it lasts.
I got a solid 5 or 6 hours out of this – although I must say it is a very light scent with low sillage. Perfect for work. Any Jo Malone scent is perfect for work. So after an hour or two it is just a skin scent. Some may hate this and say Jo Malone is not worth the cash, but if you want to wear something to work, her scents are perfect.
Best for autumn IMO.
03-16-17 A co-worker complimented me on this scent and had me write it down for her.
04-02-17 I got another compliment on this today.

I want to like this one, and other people seem to love it. However; on me, it’s straight hay!! I do get the mandarin (not too much/if any tobacco), but it’s mixed with “hay”. I remember that there is a similar note in “basil and neroli”, and I cannot wear that one either.
This one doesn’t work for me..
