Smokey, STRONG and very dark smelling.
Evolves in to something dark and slightly sweet. One of my favorites.

This to me is a very dry, very earthy almost screetchy/sour and very spicy/herbal scent. I get a lot of clove, a lot of ash/oakmoss, it doesn’t feel sweet at all to me. Nor churchy. I get no rose and minimal balsamics / patch / leather. It’s definitely earthy though if you like that style. Earty dry spicy herbal. Drydown is salty I agree with below. Salty and sharp. Ammonia comes to mind hmm…

now on me this appears to be more ambery than the one named ‘Amber’. Reason could be that this one has labdanum and ambergris? I do not get much of the spices, which is a good thing in my book as they tend to be overwhelming if too dominant and same goes for incense. It’s a slightly salty take on amber and not the honeyed syrup.
All in all, it is well balanced and think it’s easier to wear than Rook or Amber.
I get associations with a golden colour (but not honey), had similar feeling when I wore MFK Grand Soir (whileThurible is not as nutty). As I see it, Thurible could be the more subtle sister of Grand Soir (not totally on par though, as Grand Soir has loads of tonka). Montale’s Blue Amber also similar vibe (Thurible isn’t powdery though).
All in all it is a good all-round amber who like them noticeable and mid-weight.

The first amazing thing that leaps out at me is saltpetre. This is wonderful. Incensey fragrances so often leave out the smell of hot charcoal, the sparks which pop and jump when you light a charcoal briquette to burn your finer incense on, but more often wind up burning your fingers on. Thankfully, there is not a hint of charred flesh here, though there is a slightly metallic human tang, slightly salty, slightly phenolic, like a smoker’s breath. It IS churchy. Yet….it’s dusty. It’s the dying embers of a beach campfire, the breath of the breeze off the sea, salt sand in your shoes, crazy dancers under the moon. Jim Morrison would have loved this. I love this.

Absolute gorgeous..it smells indulgent, sexy, completely gender neutral, starts off intoxicating and freshens as it develops. Really lasts on my skin. I love this.

A wonderfully smokey and warm resinous scent. The incense, ash, leather and labdanum dominate on the opening. Gradually you become aware of the salty, warm Ambre gris coming forward along with the clove note. The Ambre gris is the last note to fade on me. It’s almost like the smell of smoky perspiring skin if that makes sense. The smell of your skin after spending a few hours near a bonfire.
A very interesting, modern and perhaps a sexy scent for man or woman. Another easy to wear scent.
I get moderate sillage and longevity.
