Things Ahead: I can possibly see a full bottle of this in the future.
Grapefruit and velvety citrus flowers, smoothed with a woody dusting of nutmeg. Smooth like a well-worn rocking chair. This plays slightly masculine by classic standards with very little sweetness in the composition, but for those who don’t need any saccharine, the natural sweetness of the bitter fruit is enough. Warm herbs and humid greenery give Things Ahead a fresh, earthy heart, almost rooty like vetiver. Pimento leaves are missing from the notes above according to the brand’s website.
A delicate balance of oakmoss, amber and orris bring some refinement and depth to the base. I find that this could be rather versatile as a cold weather aromatic or hot weather refreshment. Things Ahead is my favorite so far from this American indie house.
