I already have more fragrances than I’ll ever need; but now that the weather has finally gotten warmer, after a long and gloomy winter, I’ve started to crave YR The Vert. It’s a beautiful creation by Francis Kurkdjian, similar to his own EA Green Tea, but with added citruses. So, we have a herbal infusion with lemon and orange, and some white musk, and basically that’s it. In terms of sillage and longevity, Black Afgano it ain’t: namely, as other reviewers have confirmed, it doesn’t have much staying power, which is typical of the entire Yves Rocher line except for the So Elixir collection. But it is meant to be used lavishly and topped up frequently, or to be applied during the scorching summer days to provide a quick refreshment.

And I love it as well =))

Truly nice green tea scent. Light, fresh, with a bit of soft citrus, also having a cosmetic vibe, a bit creamy. Good for warm season!

Very light, pleasant to wear. Absolute green tea, citrus with the peal; light wood: all scents are very natural. It is “pulsating” with me. You thought it is gone, but heeey here it is again! And you get a dose of fresh green calmness. Perfect for ppl who do not like strong scents and are looking for an uninvasive mood-enhancer.

I really love this!
So fresh, so clean.
I get a lot of compliments when I’m wearing this perfume. 🙂

It’s not the first tea scent inside the Yves Rocher collection. The fans of this brand would remember Fraîcheur Végétale Thé Vert launched in 2003. Both build around a recognizable green tea accord introduced by Jean-Claude Ellena in Eau Parfumée Au Thé Vert for Bvlgari in 1992.
According to my personal classification the whole Un Matin au Jardin line belongs to a category of the “morning colognes”, the light fresh waters with low staying power. So they can be sprayed directly after waking up to give my morning a nice boost and disappear by the time I go to the shower.
Thé Vert acts like a refreshing sip of green tea with lemon served outside on the background of the spring garden. Fresh air, energizing smell of citrus and a lot of bright shades of green. Sometimes I even smell a whiff of fresh white blossoms brought by a gust of wind (a small reminder from Cerisier en Fleurs). A faint transparent woody background completes the picture. This cup of tea works like a good tonic filling me with joy and energy for the day. The staying power is extremely low. I don’t know whether I can finish drinking my tea before Thé Vert is almost gone. I can barely smell it in an hour. But I am still happy to have it as a morning cologne.

Top notes are nice, crisp, and fresh with a slightly musky dry-down. Nothing unusual; very similar to Elizabeth Arden’s. Sadly, just following a current fad.
palahx – :
Good smell, but drydown is musky, similar to lancome treser for love. Similar to bvlgari exquise too.
timbird – :
Yes, this one is more similar to Arden’s Green Tea. It’s more citrusy than the plastic cup Vert
fertibertik – :
Any difference with plastic cup Vert?
