Tendre est la Nuit Majda Bekkali for women and men of Majda Bekkali

Description

“The night comes forth and in its wake heightens the allurement of the shadows and sweet lethargy. In the darkness, the air exudes a metaphorical fragrance suave and rich. Some flowers offer things to the night which in the day they stubbornly withhold.

Noises fade and whispers can be heard, forms blur and lines merge. Obscurity quivers, profound and dangerous. It gives birth to a sense of ease and tumultuous fear.

I think of Zelda marching towards her tender night and of her sweet madness, to set off, leaving behind the blinding brutal light of reality” — press release of the brand. Tendre est la Nuit was launched in 2013. The nose behind this fragrance is Delphine Thierry.

    Mostly patchouly olibanum coffe.
Nice fragrance, simple, very very oriental-Africa smell, a bit indian shop also.
After one hour it reach a good ebony wood vibration.
Remember me a lot I Coloniali Olibano by Atkinsons. And in a far way Black Cashmere by D. Karan.

It is excellent scent ,complex and very chic.

because it’s scent is so beautiful and high quality.

Complex! is a nocturnal perfume, I feel as if there was fog around, full moon and a cold but light wind! incense is not heavy but made “fresh” from the other notes, especially the notes of benzoin. is very interesting evolution in the skin drydown emerges with incense and patchouli that becomes more and more in the shade as time goes on! this fragrance I like, I’ll try again in the cold months of winter.

an amber fragrance with notes of patchouli, incense and cuir. I consider this scent a very sensual and elegant despite being a bit gloomy. perfect for the cold season. wonderful bottle

I personally see this a pepper overdose with an animalic baseline. I can’t see any charm that captivates me other than the bottle itself. It’s unisex with chaos complex blend.
I’m trying so hard to love it but i just can’t! nothing so special or understandable in this fragrance!

    Incenso meravigliosamente seducente.
Incenso illuminato da un dolcemente sensuale elicrisio, riscaldato dall’ambra, sorridente di pepe e benzoino.
Un profumo difficile da definire o da intitolare, data la raffinata complessità e le molteplici sfumature.
    Ambrato, fiorito, smoky-incensato, cuoiato resinoso.
    Patchouli caldo, morbido, elegante, vellutato.
Se fosse un tessuto sarebbe velluto blu trapunto di stelle.

You really have to wait about an hour to discover the brilliance of this. It’s a patch scent but not totally dominated by patch. It has a slightly sweet/smoky/dry vibe to it. Very distinguished and intoxicating. I am a huge fan of the immortelle note so I have been trying to sample as many scents as I can with the note. This has not let me down as a few others have. I am happy to have tried this for sure!

A boozy onset with strong patchouli/wood feeling mellows to smooth leather incense and woods. Stark, strong but also lovely. Would consider this unisex. Also reminds me very much of something I’ve smelled before, possibly at a Wiccan store or herbal shop. Nice

Sophisticated, Sexy and Seductive, Tendre est la Nuit is Addiction from first sniff!
A heady, intoxicating Leather-Smoky-Floral blend that empowers and entices. I love this style of perfume – makes me feel glamorous! Sprayed this on my wrist and could not resist smelling it all day. Granted, Leather-Floral Chypre might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you are a Leather or Oriental fan, do give this a try and you will not be disappointed. Well-suited for autumn or winter evenings.
The women testing TelN next to me were completely overwhelmed by the intense top notes that they kept wondering what it was - Ambrette and carrot seens, Leather and Animalic notes permeate throughout, followed by Pepper and Incense, drying down to a more masculine Smoky and Woody base. Somehow reminiscent of Cuir Garamante by MDCI which I adore, even though that’s classified as a Men’s perfume.
I admit I was first drawn to Majda Bekkali’s perfume by her beautiful sculpture-like bottles. Once tried, I am equally impressed with their quality and composition – only wish I could afford more from her line.

The first word that came to my mind was “weird”. I was raised Catholic and am old enough to remember the old Latin mass so I’ve always had a weak spot for incense perfumes. However… No doubt about the opening note is frankincense, which is how the scent immediately opens but after about 10 minutes it gets sweet–weirdly unpleasantly sweet. It finally topples over into a frankincense/patchouli/burnt wood coma before fading out completely in about half an hour. The only possible connection I can see between this stuff and Zelda Fitzgerald is perhaps this is what drove her insane. Someday someone will explain the logic of perfumers putting more effort into the bottle than the juice inside.
    Sillage: 1-2 ft
    Longevity: mercifully short
Fabulosity: Screech from “Saved by the Bell”
    Value to price ratio: terrible

……..and the house keep cranking out more tooth decaying-like frags! If you know anything about Majda, you can almost guarantee that they will concoct a fragrance with a sweet oriental/gourmand twist. Tendre has an almost earthy interpretation overshadowed by what seems to be caramelized mossy woods. At times it’s hard to distinguish the labdanum from the sweet patchouli while the incense serves as referee. Also added to the brew are the typical gene of sweet resins found in most Majda creations. The base rounds out to a slice of leather blended with a waft of wood. It doesn’t take long to determine that this is an androgynous frag and one to include on want lists.

I so wanted to love this, as it is based on the fascinating Zelda Fitzgerald, and because the bottle is stunning. Sadly, on me it’s just patchouli; like the kind you find on an incense stick! That note emerged strong as soon as I dabbed it on and it didn’t change throughout the entire 10 hours it stayed on my skin. (Yes, it’s a longevity beast.) I could not detect any other note in the composition, though naturally this could just be the way this perfume interacts with my skin. So sad, but I could go into a hippy shop and rub myself with an incense stick for much cheaper. Then again, some people love patchouli; if you do, this one’s for you.
