thats a very nice soft sweet essence and I,m so glad I owe a full bottle of this, a shame YR is always discontinuing its best males fragances as they did with nature millenaire and Eryo, the worst thing is than you cannot find them anywhere anymore

Everyone has those perfumes that keep some great memories with them. Tel Quel is a scent I recall my dad was using when I was just a kid, and everytime I recall that smell I automatically remember my dad and my childhood.

What a beautiful warm scent. It was probably the first perfume for men that I truly liked; it was when i realized that there is more to it than generic boring scents, always putting the = between “masculine” and “stinky”.
Tel Quel is spicy, vibrant, sexy and smart; bohemian, if I may. I wear it myself quite often (actually, when I got Presence d`une Femme Mont Blanc, I understood why some reviewers deemed it masculine – it is a lighter version of TQ).
It has a generous pinch of nutmeg, but i think there is much more notes than is described here. The amber-sandal base is wonderful, and I truly mourn the fact that it is discontinued.Doggone it, bring it back! it is one of the inexpensive great scents that we all can enjoy.

What a wonderful manscent…Thanks Action, SO MUCH, for the vintage mini!
I am extremely blessed to own this cologne, being that I only came to find out about it many years after it was discontinued…I ususally open everything I get in a package (retail or swap) as soon as I get it, and go by the first sniff as to whether I will like it or not. To be honest, when I smelled this particular scent (from the bottle), I thought: classic, Brut-ish; nice but nothing wonderous! Oh, how wrong I was…
This scent comes on like an aftershave or classic splash-but only for a few moments-then it begins to mellow, sweeten and really shine. The neroli and tea together are fresh and slightly sweet, but so very subtly! It has a truly unique scent, as it does not smell like one of the usual tea themed scents. The blossoms give it a light floral spring-like airiness and the tea is lush and very nice! As it develops, the corriander’s dry spiciness with the powdery nutmeg makes it warm, smooth and very comforting. The drydown, which sounds/reads so generic, is anything but…the vanilla is smooth and natural smelling, and so rich and sexy alongside the resiny golden amber. The red cedar and sandalwood are dry and woody, yet aromatic and creamy all at once. Fresh, spicy, smooth and woody: why is there nothing like this today from YR? This scent is great for autumn and winter; yet has enough “freshness” to wear in the early spring or even on cool summer evenings. Outstanding!!
Sillage: very good
Longevity: above average
Overall: 4.25/5
One has to wonder, why have so many wonderful scents have been created by this company…and then are discontiued within 5 years of their creation? Sales volume? Make room for newer “better” things? Hardly! To keep up with the big Houses? Who knows?…All I know is I have loved YR for the last six years; but after recently smelling some of its vintage creations, absolutely adore them! I really have to wander-Why Yves, Why???
