I’m a fan of both tea-centered scents and creamy gourmands, on the condition that they’re done well. And Tea Escape is a very well made fragrance that at some point in the development morphs into a very nice, seemless combination of both of these – so it goes without saying I’m a fan of it as well.
At least that’s how I feel about it after it’s had some time to settle, because I find the opening lacks the harmony of the later phases: the green tea combined with bergamot is rather sharp at first, and to my nose it clashes just a little with the milk and rice notes, which are also fresh and realistic and not very sweet at that point. So my first impression was slightly disappointing, but very soon Tea Escape begins to warm up on the skin, and then it isn’t long before it fulfills all the promise of that original, enticing note pyramid that looks good enough to eat. For a long time the tea stays dominant and its realistically earthy, bitter character keeps the scent from straying into full-on dessert territory, but it sticks around all day, getting sweeter all the time, and it does get there in the end. This daylong, very enjoyable transition between the cold, rather bitter opening and the warm, sweet drydown is what makes this fragrance, I think. And it’s very wearable and versatile as well – I can’t imagine a situation where this would be out of place.
I’m not sure yet whether I’ll add this to my wish list. On one hand, it’s not quite a love for me, and I know by experience I tend to avoid scents where I don’t enjoy the opening very much, however much I know I like the way they dry down. But on the other hand, I do like Tea Escape very much, and the perfume hoarder (or let’s say “collector”) in me is clamoring for a little decant. We’ll see!

Tea Escape is much sweeter than I’d anticipated based upon its “herbaceous, fresh floral (with) notes of purifying mint and green tea” description. This is less a traditional Japanese tea service (as the official copy and photo would have you believe) and more of an after dinner stroll through Little Tokyo on a balmy summer night, sipping a matcha bubble tea.
On my skin, Tea Escape veers dangerously close to gourmand territory. Which is not necessarily a bad thing; unusual gourmands usually go straight to the top of my “must try” list. Just a heads up to anyone considering a blind buy on the assumption that it’s a “fresh floral.” It’s much better described as a creamy green gourmand, in my opinion.
If you’ve read my other reviews, you may be aware that I consider the Replica collection pretty much beyond reproach, and I’m not going to make TE the exception. But I will say that it’s one of my least worn of the “Memories” line up.
EDIT: My husband wore this last night, and on him, it was straight up herbaceous green tea! Just a reminder to always take reviews with a grain of salt, as scents can vary so much from wearer to wearer.

A beautiful tea fragrance. Fresh, green, floral and a bit creamy.
Initially I mostly get green tea, bergamot and jasmine, and later the freshness gets toned down by the milk and rice. Creamier it becomes. The drydown is soft, sweet tea. Very nice!
Sillage is moderate, longevity is about 6 hours. The last 2 hours it’s really a skinscent.

This opens extremely green, overwhelmingly so, with an almost dirt-like scent that is actually quite pleasant. A light earthiness that, to me, borders on the smell of hamster food. It then softens out to a powdery milky mixture, while keeping the green. As it wears down, the scent of ‘tea-leaves’ develops and it gains a slight sweetness that balances well with the cooler milky, green, earthiness.
It is not for me but I can see it being right for others. I’m happy to have tried it.

So pleased to finally own this, my first Replica. The only other one I’ve tried is By the Fireplace, which was disappointingly synthetic for me, with no smoke. I experience Tea Escape mostly as a delicious nutty floral, with a soft coziness that I think partly must come from the milk. I don’t get citrus (which I’m quite happy about), mint or even what I would think of as an obvious tea note. As others have said, the combination of nutty/savoury with freshness is a lovely contradiction and makes it very versatile. The nuttiness/rice balances the sweetness in a way that I find very addictive.
It’s not a loud fragrance but given that my skin is perfume-eating and it’s an EDT, performance is comparable to some EdPs at around 4 hours for me. I do think this is quite a distinctive scent and while I haven’t tried that many other tea fragrances, I definitely haven’t smelt one like this before. The rice note is what really makes it distinctive. Along with Penhaligon’s Paithani (rich rosy chai), this is my second milky tea fragrance. I think they complement each other beautifully (summer and winter tea!).
It seems that the price has been a criticism of the Replica series but I found a bottle for 60 Euros and am more than happy to have paid that for what already feels like a unique and cherished scent in my collection. Contemplating a backup bottle…
EDIT: By the way, a specialist fragrance store here in Europe told me that Tea Escape is being discontinued. It seems to be still available retail in the US from what I can tell but it’s become near impossible to find here – no one has stock or seems to be re-stocking it. I’m ordering a backup bottle today (a slightly used one at a good price).

I received a few sample vials of Tea Escape from Nordstrom when I recently picked up my bottle of Sailing Day, and it afforded me the opportunity to revisit a scent I had long since written off. I really like this one and am surprised more men don’t enjoy it. The scent definitely leans feminine, but the matcha/green tea aspects give it just the right amount of gender neutrality, counterbalancing the floral undertones. And, as others have noted, there is an almost licorice-like quality to the top notes, which I really like.
As a guy this affords me the ability to smell nice when I’m tired of the amber/oud/musk contained within most modern men’s fragrances. I also find that I can mix it up during the spring/summer/fall when I want something light, but am not necessarily in the mood for a citrus scent.
Longevity is pretty good and I can go a good part of the work day and catch whiffs of the scent from time to time. Sillage is also slightly better than average, leaving a nice tea-like cloud in my wake.
Overall, I liked this enough to pick up a full-sized bottle and have every expectation that I will use it throughout the summer and into the fall. Personally, it’s a little too light to wear in the winter, but perfect for every other time of the year.

I am surprised people don’t view this fragrance as more versatile, seasonally. I think that cream-y, sweet quality it has makes it unique and versatile for all seasons.
That being said, I do think this is definitely a day time perfume. Matcha, mint, and tapioca. It smells like a creamy boba green tea was put in front of me and I just punctured that top film in a way that caused the scent of the cup’s contents to waft towards my face. It is a comforting, realistic, contemporary (strangely?) cup of refreshing green tea. I love this so much and it is great for layering because it is both creamy and fresh. I highly recommend grabbing a tester of this from Sephora. I don’t think you’ll regret it. It makes my mouth water!
Sillage – is probably about a 1-3 foot radius.
Longevity – is moderate for it to have a more substantial presence. Longevity is lengthened if you count the very close-to-skin sillage that it leaves behind.

I have a decant of this perfume and it is beyond lovely! The opening notes are tea + bergamot, so it is like a bright cup of Earl Grey. That quickly develops into a mellow minty green tea. The mint gradually fades, leaving that delicious matcha tea scent with milky sweetness. Just amazing development – I love every phase of this gorgeous scent.
Downside is longevity – it just doesn’t stick around long enough. At this price, I’d like to see more staying power, but honestly, it is so beautiful that I am still adding it to my want list. This is a must for tea lovers!

This smells amazing! Very green/tea like at first but then opens up as a soft floral mixed with matcha. Very feminine, soft and clean. Smells like a spa and I think it is a very natural, easy yet sophisticated scent to wear. I was intrigued by the milk note in this but I can barely smell it on my skin. I love it nonetheless.

I have come to love this fragrance. It is not the normal vibe I go for, but I find it quite addictive. This scent is fresh and green, but somehow also comforting and enveloping.
On my skin the mint note really pops. Very herbal mint tea with an underlying richness from the milky jasmine and osmanthus.
A strange creature that is somehow comforting and cozy enough to be suitable in cold weather, but light and green enough to not be too overpowering in hot weather.
However, on my husband this scent is entirely different than on me. On his skin the prominent notes are the florals and the jasmine seems thick and heady. We both prefer the way it smells on me.

I adore this perfume, it’s so unique yet elegant. All the notes are present but blend into each other seamlessly. I also feel this perfume could be worn by any age, from teen to elderly. I find, at least on myself. That it wears off quickly which is it’s only limitation. Except maybe, something about this sent comes off as… closed minded, uncreative. If that makes any sense. All around amazing scent.

I sprayed this on my neck when I first walked into Sephora to see how it wears as I walk around the store. Now I’m back at my desk and the scent is killing me. I hate it. Way too sickly sweet. So unexpected since I like the bvlgari tea fragrances as they are very fresh. I’ve had my share of bubble teas and matcha and this fragrance smells nothing like either.

  13. :

    5 out of 5

Wow. I love this. It smells like matcha and jasmine milk tea. I haven’t smelled anything else like this so obviously it’s like nothing else I own. I love the milkiness.

  14. :

It smells exactly just like bubble tea! O_O I’ve tried most of Replica perfumes and they are really spot on! If you want realistic smelling perfume, look no further! They really got the aura of what they describe on the perfume. My only complaint is the weak sillage (at least on me and my dad) and poor longevity. I don’t mind reapplying but I am hoping I can smell it more for the price. It wasn’t crazy expensive but it’s a lot to ask for a scent that is weaker than cologne. The scents are really lovely though and unusual unlike the generic perfume you smell everywhere.

  15. :

    3 out of 5

Sweet, matcha bubble tea. That’s essentially what this smells like. Who would have guessed that this very specific smell would make such a great perfume? (MMM, I guess!)
As you would expect, you get the fresh bergamot and mint at its most intense upon first spray. As those short-lived top-notes fade away, milky, sweet rice starts to swirl with the unmistakable scent of earthy, slightly bitter matcha. The mint surprisingly doesn’t completely disappear- I can still detect it even hours after applying. Tea Escape feels so unique in that it’s a slightly bitter tea scent, but also satisfyingly sweet and gourmand. It’s noticeably “fresh,” without being “sporty” or aquatic.
Such an uplifting, fresh scent would seem destined for disappointing longevity, but I actually find it to be pretty good- around 6 hours for me. Sillage is good, but not enormous, making it perfect for the summer.

  16. :

    4 out of 5

Tea Escape is unlike the usual green tea scents, it’s more interesting and more realistic.
At first there is a bitter note from the green tea and mate. I usually don’t like bitter scents, but it is very refreshing at the same time and it also mellows down a little soon.
The rice note is definitely there, as well as the milk note. It’s creamy and only slightly sweet, like very fresh milk. There is nothing cloying or sour, as it sometimes happens with milk notes.
Jasmine and bergamot aren’t distinctive, but it’s clear that there is something floral and a citrus note, it just makes everything smell more like a perfume and not like you just spilled tea and milk on yourself.
As the fragrance dries down it becomes warmer, but it’s still a fresh tea scent. The performance is average. I like Tea Escape on warm days, but I can imagine that it might be nice in winter, too, as a break from sweeter, warmer and more intense perfumes.
    On my wishlist.

Holy cow, this is.. this is what I’ve been wishing tea perfumes smelled like.
Tea is the first note when I spray this, and I expected it to fade away like a lot of other opening tea notes, but this only settled in and made itself comfortable. I loved the opening, tea, mate, a bready, fresh rice I kept sniffing all the way to work, and by the time I’d got there I was starting to smell cream. The cream mixed with the chilled sweetness of the tea, and for once the cream didn’t turn into a cloying vanilla on me! The miracle I’d been hoping for! I think the rice helped the cream from going too far, keeping it grounded.
Longevity was great- I was still sniffing my wrists when I got in the car after work, and it traveled the most when it was two and three hours- someone sitting next to me told me it smelled incredible, but mostly it trailed me through my day and kept me company while I worked.

I’ve wanted to try this for a while, and my mom happened to get a sample in the mail with a recent Nordstrom order (along with 4 other Replica fragrances – it’s like they knew she was going to give all the samples to me!). This fragrance exceeded both hopes and expectations. I love tea notes and pink pepper together (Kenzo’s Tokyo comes to mind), but here I was surprised to find a solid blend of the yerba mate and green tea notes. What it ended up blending like on my skin is the very distinctive scent of roasted green tea leaves. This is my absolute FAVORITE type of tea, in part due to the distinctly nutty smell, and having it project in such a non-synthetic way on my skin was amazing. The opener had a strong jasmine presence for me, and that’s died out into a subdued sweeter yet not floral scent (milk/rice combo?). Very interesting fragrance that I’ve never had anything like before, and I really want to pick up a full bottle now.

The notes intrigued me so I got my hands on a sample. I do like this scent and find it to be unique. I pretty much only pick up the mint note. It is very much like a mint leaf, so very true to life. I imagine this would be refreshing after a workout and on summer nights. A nice pick me up 🙂 I like the drydown about 5 mins in a bit better than initial spray as the notes have settled a bit more and there is some tea smell. If I could get my hands on this one for cheaper than retail I would get it. Otherwise I will stretch out my sample.

Yum. Love the idea behind this scent, and it contains some of my favorite unique notes such as matcha, rice, and creamy milk. However, something about it kinda bothers me… The pleasant bitterness of the matcha kinda turns into a Sharpie marker aftertaste on my skin (maybe because of the mint?). But overall, from just a whiff, this fragrance is perfect. But it’s not a “love” simply because of the slight Sharpie scent aftertaste I’m getting.

  21. :

YUM this literally smells like matcha mixed with a splash of milk and a hint of mint. Simple and straightforward but delicious. Seriously authentic green tea note. Very cool. Dry down takes on a sweet jasmine milk tea vibe. Since that’s my favorite tea of all time I’m super in love.

A fresh spring/summer-scent. Fresh Tea with some Mint, Rice and Milky Jasmine. Very nice, almost skinclose (I like). A bummer its gone within 2 hours on my skin. I was gifted a sample and I like it alot, but I don’t think this shortlived scent is worth the money – If you find it for bargin – go for it. If you’re a daring man who likes milky teanotes – try it.

  23. :

The tea is obviously very prominent, from the very beginning. I do get a bit of the bubble tea vibe, coming from a milky, creamy note. This soon makes place for the rice. Not fluffy like rice cake or sweet as sticky rice desert, but more like a nearly burnt rice. You know that stage, just before it actually burns and turns black, the rice starts to get crusty at the bottom of the pot. That stage. All the while, there’s still that very realistic–and ever so slightly sweet–green tea note.

  24. :

This is very much a perfume rendition of Genmaicha! That said, it would maybe maybe make a better candle or room fragrance than something I’d personally wear, as it is a little too much on the sweet, sharp green side to meld well with my personal chemistry.

  25. :

    4 out of 5

I had been wanting a fresh/green tea type of fragrance, but I have to be careful, as for me, a lot of times fresh/green notes can get up in my nose in a bad way, so it has to be a soft fresh, not a harsh ‘screaming’ overly crisp fresh. I must admit, I had some trepidation with this one when looking at the accords, but the milkiness and the white floral make this very wearable for me.
I do like it and will wear it in spring or even on summer days, as the humidity here can make a fragrance on my skin amplify in bad ways. Not an everyday fragrance for me, but I did not purchase it as an everyday fragrance. I do not really regard this as a ‘safe’ or a ‘crowd-pleasing’ fragrance, and just is not one I would wear to the office. Not saying it is anything bad, but just sometimes green notes and fresh and spicy notes can be tricky with some noses, so I will wear this for shopping trips, casual day trips, that sort of thing. Which is exactly what I was looking for with this fragrance.
A couple of spritzes and I am ready for the day. Sort of an ‘awakening’ yet also a comforting fragrance. However, I definitely think this one should be tested first and not purchased as a blind-buy.

As realistic as it’s name. A rich green tea scent. During springtime on a a windy day this would smell lovely.

  27. :

    3 out of 5

This beautiful scent is very realistic, if you have ever had matcha then you will recognize the smell. The balance between fresh and warmer elements is perfect, it’s not as fresh as a cologne nor as warm as a gourmand would be. Perfect for warmer weather, I just wish the sillage was bolder. Maybe I’ll just buy a decant.

Very different and very nice ,I only have a sample but this might be my next purchase as it’s such a paculiar weird smell that it’s strangly addictive , it lasts forever into the next day and the drydown to me is the best part. It’s super creamy or let’s say milky and has rice notes as well as amberette in the base.
So I went to Sephora and sprayed a strip and put it in my pocket last week. The next day I put on my jacket and I smelled this super amazing milky , rice ,sandalwood smell. Very creamy and yummy ,a little sweet as well , I sniffed the sleeves of my jacket ,nope , where was this coming from ??? I was obsessed with the smell I smelled little whiffs here and there and needed to know which one of my perfumes has this heavenly drydown. I was at a loss. ,,, later in the day ,still trying to figure out where this familiar but strange smell was coming from I realized it was the tea escape test strip in my pocket. Once home i tried locating the sample they gave me and tried it on my skin.
Tea escape is a very different ,milky ,rice perfume with tea notes and lime on top. Quite paradox and neat. It’s one of those perfumes that you need for its uniqueness. It’s strangely addictive. It’s savoury , ozonic ,milky and yet fresh. Very warm ,cozy , almost hot but still fresh. It’s so paradox !!!! I need it !

Upon first spray, smells like a hot cup of green tea, and as it dries down, it eventually smells exactly like a Japanese matcha candy; not super sweet, almost savory in a way, but calming and pleasing to the senses. It persistently stayed this way on my skin for many hours, much longer than I’d expected. I love matcha, and this perfume is an excellent representation of it, but I would not purchase/wear Tea Escape again because I personally don’t want to walk around smelling like it all day long.

  31. :

At first the mint is a bit more prominent than I would like (I tend to dislike mint), but this is blended together beautifully. It starts off as a fresh and fabulous tea scent. For me this is an artistic rendition of tea, very perfume-like and easy to wear for any occasion. I drink unsweetened green tea everyday and this is not a hyper realistic / plain tea scent, nor is it bitter. It does dry down to become a sweeter, milky almost vanilla green tea. I have about one more wearing left in my decant and I will miss it when I run out. I can easily see this becoming my signature scent.

  32. :

Instant love! This scent is a creamy, milky green-tea jasmine marvel. I don’t feel like I smell like Teavana, and it is totally wearable in a way that I didn’t expect. I didn’t get any of the top notes on my skin, but every chemistry is different. It didn’t feel oriental to me, but more like a night watching Downton Abbey while drinking a London Fog while wearing a feminine, romantic perfume. This is the first time encountering rice/milk/osmanthus and I am obsessed with the creaminess. The jasmine, mate, green tea is soft and a well rounded scent. Normally, jasmine is a harsh note on me and I loved that that wasn’t the case with Escape.
This is the first time my husband has ever noticed, liked, and commented on a perfume. I am so glad that he loves it as much as I do. Instant favorite go-to, holy grail.

The best option if you’re looking for an oriental tea fragrance. This smells amazing! Exactly like matcha green tea and sesame. But I’d be a little hesitant to wear this in public. Theres no logical explanation for anyone to smell this much like tea lol. Without actually being tea.

Jasmine tea on the opening, then a milky/green matcha tea with rice. I like that it’s not citric (didn’t smell any bergamot) or sharp and I approve of more milk notes in perfume, I love them! Overall, the scent isn’t for me, but I appreciate the interesting take on tea.

    DESCRIPTION
Opens as a chewy matcha (Japanese green tea) ice cream mochi rice cake, creamy and mildly sweet. The milky rice notes stay from beginning to end, melting ice cream mochi into warm tea latte more jasmine than green, making for an experience that calls to mind the word “rounded” first and foremost.
Calming, quiet, peaceful. Relaxed. Subtle, soft, and sweet. Hair casually pinned up, oversized ivory cashmere sweater over slim dark denim, curled up on a sofa bathed in sunlight from the white bay window, thoroughly engrossed in the book in hand. Warm and approachable.
    OPINION
I love matcha everything – in food and drink. This being my first foray into fragrance since the days of Liz Clairborne’s Curve trailing softly behind through academic corridors, I honed in on Tea Escape first and foremost while knowing that my personality has evolved into such a defined presence since Curve that anything not rooted in the woody/aromatic realm would likely not be my cup of tea (pun not intended).
Sure enough, the tester spritz on paper was an immediate letdown. I wanted to love it but couldn’t bring myself to like it. Undeterred, I left with a vial to observe how the notes would play once melded with my skin. The object of my quest: a pure matcha note. Not dessert matcha. The frothy liquid of a deep, lush green, with tendrils of steam rising from the earthenware bowl just handed to me by the tea ceremony Tenshu, whose kimono rustles as she gracefully, purposefully moves about the tatami mats.
Going both off of my own olfactory experience and that of many fellow reviewers below, this ultimately wasn’t the scent journey Fabrice Pellegrin had intended, regardless of what the launch video and photo image branding portray. Regardless, Tea Escape remains a beautiful scentation for those it speaks to and was an educating first dip in the fragrance pool.
The day I sampled Tea Escape on paper, I spritzed Maison Martin Margiela’s entire line alongside those from Nest, Clean, Tocca, and Tokyomilk. Without looking at notes or names, bottles carrying woody notes swirling with spicy green captivated me completely, even as a new nose who’d bypassed fragrance counters her entire life. It was incredible to experience firsthand how strongly personality dictates what speaks to us.
    SAMPLE VIAL
I have a full 1 ml vial of Tea Escape that’s been robbed of one drop (I prefer my interview candidates not to wander) as of today, and the beauty attendant was so delightful as to fill my requests quite generously. As I’m in search of my signature and am of a minimalist mentality, I won’t be opening this again. If you’re curious to meet this lovely lady and a Sephora or Nordstrom trip isn’t feasible in your area, let me know.

Would be incredibly cool and sophisticated on the right person. DO NOT blind buy, however, ones chemistry really makes or breaks this fragrance. On me, this came out way too green and harsh. The green tea here is VERY realistic (really an A+ to Margiela on that aspect for this whole line of perfumes), but the longer I wore it, it became bitter and heavy, completely stomping out any of the other notes. I really can imagine this being gorgeous on someone who’s body works with it though. Sample away! It’s a very interesting juice.

What a surprising scent! Tea is wonderfully fragrant in all its forms but when translated to perfume few brands take advantage in the diversity of tea to make unique scents.
A lot of scents made with tea in mind are centered around green tea. Green tea is my favorite kind, and Tea Escape is actually also centered around green tea. I don’t like most scents with “green tea” in the title or advertised as a note, because so many of them are so heavily citrus it doesn’t actually smell like tea to me. Examples include Elizabeth Arden’s infamous Green Tea or even Bvlgari’s popular Eau Parfumee au The Vert. Tea Escape is more successful to my nose in smelling green like tea leaves than those. More interestingly to me, it smells like my favorite kind of green tea called Genmaicha.
If you’ve never had Genmaicha you are overdue to treat yourself. It’s delicious. Basically, green tea is mixed with toasted rice. Tea Escape is quite heavy on this rice note. The osmanthus is present heavily, which adds a pleasant and unexpected creaminess. Jasmine is also quite noticeable in this composition, and as everyone knows green tea and jasmine scent is a match made in heaven.
I really enjoyed sampling this scent, and do desire a bottle for myself one day. This perfume is delicate and pretty, but also unique and artistic. Escape is fitting as part of the title. It’s a lovely scent vignette of the far east.

I really was on the fence with Tea Escape for awhile. It smelled incredibly fresh and light on paper, and almost immediately on my skin, it transformed into something else. Happens a lot with me, but this particular fragrance changes almost constantly with my chemistry, making it nearly impossible to decide whether I enjoyed it or couldn’t handle it. Now I’m glad I gave it a fair shot.
I asked for a sample at Sephora because of the paper test, and then I sprayed it on me as soon as I got a chance. It was pretty and light and sweet, but there was this deeper, sweet, slightly powdery note that initially turned me off. Close up sniffs on my skin were kind of grossing me out. I thought I smelled like an old lady (I know the “old lady perfume” probably changes with the times, and many of my old favorites are probably in that category now, but I smell that old lady smell in many of the expensive perfumes like Annick Goutal). However, every now and then I’d get this light, dancing, sweetly clean whisper of scent when the wind blew, and I would realize it was ME. I tried out for a concert event with friends, and every person that hugged me said I smelled amazing.
When I want to smell fresh and clean, I normally wear Grass from the Gap (yes I do. See what I mean about rocking weird scents with my chemistry?), but Tea Escape smells similarly fresh, smells better on clothes (and sticks around for hours on them), and it is a richer, more sophisticated fresh scent than I normally can find. It seriously grew on me so much, and I even bought a travel spray so I can take this one with me. I’ve NEVER bought a travel bottle where I have to do extra work with to take on trips and such.
This one is different, truly unique. Don’t let the “green tea” fool you, this has much more to offer.

For those who love this but found themselves a bit disappointed with the longevity – try Acqua di Gioia Essenza! It is incredibly similar (in particular the opening and the first hour or so are almost exactly the same), but I find that AdG Essenza lasts much longer, and its sillage is also bolder. The jasmine plays a subtle role in both fragrances, and both of them have a similar level of sugary sweetness. Whilst Tea Escape turns a bit creamier later on, I enjoy Essenza’s crispness more.

Tea Escape opens with Japanese matcha and a hint of cool mint, which is a very nice surprise to me as I’ve yet encountered a tea fragrance that reminds me of matcha. There’s also a gentle milky sweetness underlying the bitterness of matcha. Therefore, the overall effect is reminiscent of matcha ice cream, delicious and refreshing as a summer treat.
There’s a brief moment after about 20 minutes, when a strange burnt note peeks through. But luckily, it fades rather quickly and never comes back afterwards.
As the fragrance dries down, the milk gradually takes over. At the same time, the matcha association also start to fade, and turns into a jasmine green tea instead. The green tea and pink pepper being sharp and fresh, makes an intriguing contrast with the roundness of milk and rice, although the sharpness can be a bit too much at times.
The sillage is moderate to soft and the longevity is around 5 hours. The transition from matcha ice cream to jasmine tea scented latte in Tea Escape is truly a delicious escape, and the milkiness makes it more comforting than most green tea fragrances in cooler weather. If you happen to crave a tea-flavoured dessert, Tea Escape might very well fit the bill.

Love! On my skin it is very clean and crisp, and just a little sweet. The tea smell is alluring, and very unique. About an hour later it sweetens, but still is very fresh smelling.
I do find myself having to reapply once or twice if I want it to last the day, probably because it’s so delicate. For this reason I wish it came as a rollerball.

I’m a big, big, tea fan and anything with ‘Tea’ in the name definitely peaks my interest, especially ‘Tea escape’
I have to say I’m undecided and will definitely take another sample to work out just what’s going on?
I think it’s the rice in here? There’s definitely an unknown herbal type element to it? I think I know what rice smells like but I’ve not sure whether it belongs in a fragrance I want to wear.
I will give tea escape this…it’s a unique, almost odd proposition, even the tea is not a smoky, aromatic earl grey, neither is it classically dry or metallic? But it is definitely tea.
Tea is typically coupled with citrus notes and it’s refreshi
