The winner from the Elements of Man line!
Opens with a beautiful burst of yuzu and light spices. There is immediately a creamy backdrop which works incredibly well with the citrus. If I didn’t see the notes, I would guess the opening consists of bitter orange, vanilla (or tonka) and light pepper.
As this progresses, the citrus lingers but the fragrance becomes a lot airier despite being creamy and smooth. The smoothness blends beautifully with the wood deep into the dry down.
In the final hours, it wears like a robust aquatic; both with some sweetness and spice. It is one of the smoothest scents I’ve ever smelled.
Longevity here is great at around 8 hours, projecting well for about 4 hours.
To me, this smells like an upscale version of Chanel’s Allure Homme Sport Eau Extreme. It has the same aquatic creamy citrus vibe.
A very smooth and masculine take on the creamy citrus concept. Excellent!

A crucial mistake that the Italian tailor Ermenegildo Zegna committed in creating his new exclusive collection is related to the exilication of abstract concepts. When you set out to avoid the cliché of the preciousness of olfactory notes, it is necessary to create a narrative that explains the relationship between the proposed aroma and the name / concept created. This is not always clear or explicit from the experience of using the perfume itself, which is what happens in Talent.
Whether it is in the original context of the word, which was used as a weight measure used for monetary values, or in the contemporary context, which denotes a person’s natural hability for a given activity, the word Talent certainly has a connotation of something special and precious, something different. And when choosing a fragrance with a citrus-clean cologne aura one has the impression that perfume and concept are not very well associated
Talent is in line with the contemporary trends of exotic notes, so instead of having a traditional citrus we have listed a crisp asian yuzu combined with sichuan pepper and bergamot. In practice, we have a citrus scent typical of a more exclusive cologne – a clean, juicy aaroma devioid of cleaning product contours. The heart of the perfume evolves into what looks like a floral cologne aura, something like a neroli, where again we have an exotic note more for marketing purposes, in this case the aroma of black tea. Sichuan pepper is most evident in the heart, adding a spicy and dry touch to the composition.
There is something curious about Talent that is an undiscerted nuance of iris that seems to go through the composition and almost gives a feminine air the idea. It does not stand out because at the base the scents of cedar and patchouli creates a clean and transparent woody impression, a suitable base for the idea of a cologne. There is something missing here that can say distinction, something that sounds unique and highly valuable for it to actually represent Talent. In Practice what Talent does is fill the citrus-fresh perfume gap of a niche / exclusive collection – and the concept and name here are indistinct for the real perfume intention.

A perfect modern citrusy classic scent. Make you think to an azure sky.
Delicious. Deserve more attention. Unisex. Reminiscence of 70s (eau jeaune senteurs fraiches) and 90s (Bvlgari tea) fragrances of that theme.
    A dance of Hesperides.
    So nice. Clean.

This is so nice! A citrus themed fragrance with depth, substance & originality. Biting at first, a yuzu peppery duet promising something that is out of the ordinary and not knowing exactly where it will lead us.
Far from the cologne or the fresh citrus conventional interpretations, we have a strong, bright citrus note here, with character and dimensions. Biting-dry in its opening, you can smell the sharp spicyness duelling with the citrus note (like JECA mentionned there is almost a clove sensation). This duet will gradually metamorphose into a yuzu & tea. But not the light, green & fresh ones. More of a full-bodied aromatic note that has been smoked, infused for a long time. A soft powdery note peaks through after a while.
«Talent» seems quite minimalistic & simple, but it works magic with me. Invigorating, never boring. My nose is stimulated from opening to dry down with notes that smells as real as can be. Longevity is excellent (concentré de parfum), projection is moderate.
In a few words… spicy yuzu, yuzu & strong black tea on a very discreet woody bed.

Talent seems to me to veer more Feminine with some sort of sweet note and a soft base.

This is a spicy citrus scent, a typical Mediterranean citrus cologne, but less aggressive than some classic Italian colognes, and also less sweet than for example Tom Ford’s Neroli. I smell clove in it, which gives citrus a good spicy direction.
