First of all, it’s clear the ingredients are high quality as the scent is strong and direct. Unfortunately, my initial response was that of Mr. Clean or some strong cleaning agent. After a bit of a dry down I get a mellower lemony lavender which is just not my thing. I did not get the tobacco which was the greatest disappointment.

An original variation on the lemon. Already this perfume has a beautiful longevity but also there are a multitude of notes coming faceting the lemon to render it as fascinating as a disco ball.
Lemon and grapefruit for a sour opening, chypre by rosewood. Lemon-lavender flowery in heart and best for last with lemon-white tobacco background.
This is for me the best perfume of this brand, he has some side that make me think about the complexity of a perfume like Jicky where tobacco has replaced musks.
You have to try it on fabric.

This combination of notes is far from new, but it never gets old and benefits from being available in an all natural formulation. I asked my BF what he thought, all he could say was “soap” and “that smells like something, don’t you have one like it?”. Well as a matter of fact I do, the more complex and better balanced Jicky. However, i do enjoy this sampler and will use it until it is gone. For a few days after it arrived, I kept going back to it. That combination of lavender, warm creamy background, and citrus really draws you in. The longevity is great, especially for an all natural. It fades to a sandalwood, freshly laundered cotton scent in the dry down that is actually very pleasant.

This is just plain gorgeous – masculine, resinous, ambery, deep… it has surprising longevity for an all-natural perfume. A few sprays lasted well into the next day. It is definitely niche, and has a real ‘edge’ to it, an interesting sourness that speaks to rare flowers and yet still has tons of tweedy dignity as well. I love tobacco scents, and this is by far one of the best I’ve tried. A must have for either green citrus or tobacco enthusiasts.

Wow, I can’t believe I found a citrus that I like. Don’t get me wrong, this is not love but I am deep into like with this fragrance. For some reason, my nose picks up basenotes so although there is a lemony opening, I can actually smell the woods at the base of this fragrance. I could probably wear this fresh out of the shower before bed. I wouldn’t choose this fragrance for a date or an evening out, it might be nice for a spa day.

Oh my, my first thought when I applied this was – NOPE. You may ask what’s so bad about it on my skin? It opened with citron as the name of the fragrance promises, but this is not the good kind of citron, this is WC refresher citron, this is too clean, too sharp too in my face. What comes next? A tiny bits of bitterness from lavender, I start to dislike this even more, but no wonder as I have never been a fan of lavender. Then there comes the sweetness, but it’s overpowered by the “FRESH” and “LOUD” notes of citruses.
Not for me.

I can’t say I much liked this. Unlike PP’s Rose Boheme, which I have a ton of respect for, Tabac Citron hit me as rather generic, quite short-lived, and, like Rose Boheme, not unisex, but solidly feminine. Like the patchouli in RB I’d love to see pushier, the tobacco here is quite subtle, and not pushy at all. The opening, crisply tart grapefruit was neat – I have to give PP that – and unexpected, but that clears out of Dodge quite quickly and leaves a simple sandalwood and (super light) tobacco base. Nobody will hate this scent – which is not a compliment. I wish PP were willing to push boundaries a bit more, y’know?

Refreshing with lots of bitter citrus to start. Then Tabac Citron morphs into a sweet, lemon grass scent with gently smoky rose that’s soft–powdery sprinkles on the core of a white, waxy lemon grass stalk.
Easy going refreshment with an unusual twist of smoky, floral scented fresh woods that’s comfortable and cosy to wear.
